Mike's Crabhouse Reviews

Mike's Crabhouse in Riva is a very nice place on the water for crabs. During the spring into summer is best and it always is crowded. I'm not a boater and wish I could have my boat dock there, eat crabs and head back out the water for the day. The crabs are always heavy, and the taste are the Maryland Style Crabs I grew up on. If you plan on eating crabs one day. You may want to get there early to get the best spots. If you wait to late you will be waiting a long time before you are able to eat some of the best crabs in Maryland.

Mike's crab cakes are most delicious . Top lump meat and the carry out guys are very pleasant. Happy customer

While looking for places to eat in Annapolis Maryland there are several places I have this is a new one on my radar that I normally see in the listings but this was my first time stopping there with my wife. I must say I really like the view from the dock bar and the Maryland crabs were the biggest I had in years.

Crowded, parking is difficult. Seafood is excellent and you're paying for waterfront. Nice drink.

As always great crabs. We picked a beautiful day to go and opted for the outdoor seating. Very attentive staff.

Delicious food, customer service was excellent and the seafood melts in your mouth. My family was down for a three night stay in Annapolis and two of the three night eat at Mike's Crab House.
One piece of advice, get there before the big rush, look at Google time line is correct. Friday's busy, but Saturday nights are crazy busy. Worth the wait!!

I enjoyed my experience at Mike's restuarant. The atmosphere and food was amazing.

My bride and I go a couple of times a month, for lunch. Appetizers are great and beer is cold. Never get crabs, over priced and not Maryland blues. Entrees are too pricy for what you get.

Perfect spot for crabs. They have a large seating area, and located right on the banks of the South River with great views of the water.

The crabs and atmosphere is incredible, they have a tiki bar with a lop level over looking the water. The crabs are extremely good steamed perfect.

I recently had lunch at Mike's and ordered a crab cakes sandwich at market price. The crab cakes was very disappointing. Too small, full of fillers, tasteless. $18 for a big dissapointment.

Food was good for a Friday afternoon as was the service.
But to charge $7.50 for (3)10 oz kids sodas was too much to bear. Give me a break Othos !!

Order a lump crab cake sandwich and it was terrible it was the worst crab cake sandwich it had so much bread filling than crab meat it was not worth 20.00 I will never go back there again

Gone twice within a month in a half and delicious both times. Crab cakes... All meat no filler... Just how they're supposed to be.

We stopped for the view and a few good drinks. Amazing views and lots of dining space indoors and outdoors. Perfect on a Summer day, beach feel!

Excellent view and great seafood! Service isnt the best. I think are waitress had a drug issue she disnt seem all together and never came back to table. Managment should get better staff.

Holiday weekend and they ran out of crabs at 1pm. The management was less than empathetic .For the price it's the last time I venture down here from Arlington.

The wait staff is helpful and friendly! Service and food selection is amazing!

Good food, good drinks, but it does take a long time to get drinks from your waiter. You're better off going to the bar to save time.

This was an amazing recommend from a friend. Definitely worth a drive from Alexandria! The food was amazing and the atmosphere felt like you had a weekend getaway. Great drinks too. I tried the orange Crush and the hybrid crush. The hybrid is a orange grapefruit crush and it was a great alternative

The wait staff was a little disorganized at first. We waited a long time before waving someone down to come to the table to get us water and our initial drink order. Then after ordering we got up to go to the salad bar and when we came back the hostess had sat people at our table. It was resolved quickly and the rest of the service was great. The only other complaint was that the paint on the bench outside peeled off on our pants when we stood up. All that being said, the food was amazing. Best crabs I've ever had. The deck is on the water and the view is beautiful. The restaurant had a wonderful friendly casual feel. Overall I highly recommend it.

It is not an all you can eat Crab shack. Just got crabs for the price of all you can eat . You must try The Red Roost and Old Mill Crab House. Very nice atmosphere gets a 5.

Food was fantastic! Service was extremely slow, sat almost 30 minutes before being waited on. Great views and food!

Service and clientele have gone way down in the past year. Won't be back

Really delicious cod sandwich. A must try! Pass on the calamari. They were tiny and not a lot.

Food just okay, our server was no where to be found

Upon arriving there we're open tables everywhere two girls at the front staring at their phones at didn't even say hello and it took them 20 minutes to seat us. We still give it a chance but bottom line the food could have been good if it wasn't ruined with all the bacon and overdone sauce. It ruined the taste of the fish.

Beautiful restaurant serving delicious blue crabs right on the water. Food is good and fun to eat and drinks are cold and refreshing on a hot day, particularly the Maryland favorite the orange crush, a tasty mix of vodka, Sprite, and orange juice.

The food was all right. My girlfriend liked the crab a lot, but I was less enthused. The rest (chips, hush puppies, chesapeake wings) was good - I'd have it all again - but not great. The Service was fairly poor. The place was also really crowded. Usually that's the price you pay for a good place, but this wasn't worth that sort of crowd in my opinion, especially if you're in the middle of the place with no view of the water (it would probably be a nicer experience if you can snag a window seat).

Went with the family to have crabs arrived at 6pm was told 1 hour twenty to thirty minutes. Needless to say I did not eat at Mike's this evening. At 8:17 we still had not been seated. We spoke with both hostesses several times, they assured us it wouldn't be much longer. The reason for the complete disregard of customers time and consideration was that they were short servers. We finally received a text that our table was ready at 8:38, we had left the restaurant by then as we were very angry and hungry. We would not have been able to enjoy our meal/crabs. If you want to eat here you had better check and see if they have enough people working before you wait unnecessarily to be seated.

I like Mike's Crab House I gave it 3 stars because.My family & I go there for crabs, but Labor day weekend we had about 5 of the crabs that were bad.We informed the waitress & she said she would take back 2 of the crabs.Mind you we had ordered a dozen & 1/2.So she bought the manager over.Long story short he didn't want to exchange our crabs.Mind you we're paying for them.I'm not eatting bad crabs.They were mushy,Some discolored inside.The manger was not very accommodating.So I think as much as we liked having crabs there.It will be our last not when I can exchange my crabs that I'm expected to pay for.

The best view on the water! Great food and a relaxing atmosphere. Appetizer were awesome.

We are frequent flyers here.But our visit today was to incorporate other couples .They loved Brittney was terrific. Good aga was excellent.

DELICIOUS! I had Clam strips and Haddock so so good!
