First off, let me say that I generally don't like ...

First off, let me say that I generally don't like the car buying experience. Too many mind games and hidden fees. My wife and I chose Jim Barnard Chevrolet due to the lack of hype. I personally like a quiet, honest atmosphere in what could quite possibly been a stressful situation.
Tim Barnard was our coach. I will not label him as a salesman because he was more of a coach. Tom is very honest, and upfront with ALL details. The gentleman who did our trade in was exactly the same. Tim Barnard prides himself on being open, upfront and honest. In a world of hidden this and hidden that, I was extremely pleased with how the entire organization does business. I will not go anywhere else in the future to purchase vehicles.

I worked with Jennifer in finding my new Silverado. I let her know exactly what I was looking for and she made the process quick, easy, and was thorough. I would definitely recommend her. Service after the sale can sometimes be an issue with certain dealers, but when I had a recall the Barnard Service Department was fantastic. They had me in and out and everyone was extremely friendly.

I got an import Convertible 2 seaters roadster and most people would bring it to the original dealer for an oil change. But I trust my local Chevy dealer and as usual, the service department is great.

On 4-26-16 i bought my second car from Jim Barnard chevrolet in churchville were hows the saying go"its not business as usual... Its personal! well im gonna say true statement there business is selling cars as well as maintaining all your car needs from A-Z. the personal part is while making a huge investment, they combine all that business stuff toss in some top notch customer care pros and made me feel warm and fuzzy the whole time. From signing all the papers to the couple prep days they needed to get my little buggy all "nice-nice" I felt like a little kid at Christmas.when i picked my buggy up it was off the charts after the service dept. went thru it Joe in there dollop shop made it look amazing, they definitely have a keeper with that tech. the way he pays attention to detail and the pride he puts in his work is bar none. I felt so warm and fuzzy about my car i brought my wife's 06 Monte Carlo for Joe to work his magic on, and i might say the car looks like the day i drove it out of there 5yrs. ago .to allan and your team thank you for everything. my wife and i are so happy!!!!you know that new car feeling it deserves a word all its own, you know the word of the day "Its the Bomb-diggity" thanks again!!!!!!

My experience was awesome. My lease was due and my new car wasn t able to be delivered before I went into surgery so Tom made arrangements so he could bring my new car to me and do the paperwork and take my other car back. My surgery was on my right knee and I can not drive. It made things so much easier on me and I m very thankful that he was able to do that.

January 2015 - We were traveling from Buffalo to Rochester in my Smart EV and needed a charge. They graciously invited us to used their charger, warm up in their very pleasant waiting room, and help ourselves to coffee or tea.

They aren't currently selling EV's, but with the new Volt and Bolt coming out they may revisit this decision. I would definitely want to come here to test drive!

May 2015 - Rochester to Buffalo - with warmer weather we probably could have made it, but why bother living with range anxiety? We stopped and grabbed a few miles.

I got bent over at Barnard. I'm sure it wouldn't be as bad with a new car, but they raised the price 3k while financing my used vehicle. When I tried to trade in (less than a month after purchasing), they offered me 6,800 less than originally charged.

Your replies to bad reviews are not heart felt. I went to this dealer ship with my daddy and we where treated very rudely by the sales manager when my daddy didn't like the offer on the car. Anyway, this was a month ago and the car my daddy was interested in is STILL ON YOUR LOT!!!
I want to tell everyone to go to SPURR CHEVY or BOB JOHNSON CHEVY, THEN come to your dealership. I will soon be buying cars and more through my lifetime. Definitely not a "home town feel" here!!!

My experience at Jim Barnards, is exceptional every time I visit them for anything I have to have done with my vehicle... They are polite, experienced,
and inform you of every detail of what the problem might be with your vehicle before performing the task, even if you had brought it in for just a simple oil change or rotation...

I took my car in to have a rattle in the exhaust fixed. After dropping it off for 1 day they still didn t have an answer as to what the problem was. I called again the next day and they said they were looking at it for hours and think it might be a heating filter, since I had to pick up my car that day I inquire about the cost to fix the problem. The service gentleman said that they already had hours invested in finding the problem I was able to settle on a $120 diagnostic fee although it seemed that they wanted to charge much more. I was told the heating filter would likely fix the problem and the part was cheap and easy to fix so it would only be another $100. I asked them to order the part and I could bring my car back later as they did not have the part in stock. This was 3 months ago and still haven t heard back from them. Seems like they had zero confidence that a heater filter would fix the exhaust rattle. Really annoying spending $120 for nothing. I ll never take a vehicle there again! Thanks for nothing Jim Barnard

I went to the dealership today to have my 2019 Malibu wind noise evaluated. Mike, the manager of the collision shop was incredible. He immediately went out to my car and saw that there was a problem with the mirror on the passenger door. He then grabbed one of his body mechanics and asked him if he had time to fix it. They fixed it while I waited. Incredibly good customer service, way to go Mike!

This was my first time going to Jim Barnard and I will definitely be going back to them in the future. I had an idea of the truck I was looking for and was not happy with what I found at several other dealerships. Tim Barnard was very honest and upfront with me from the beginning and helped me find exactly what I was looking for, even with a limited inventory due to COVID-19. He helped me through the entire process and made everything easy for my wife and I. I would recommend Jim Barnard Chevrolet to anyone that is looking!

Horrible service. Was told one thing on the phone when I made the appointment, story and price changed when I showed up. Shady, very shady. Do yourself a favor and drive 15 minutes to another dealer, there are plenty around.

I brought my truck in because it was making some sounds coming from the bed. The gentleman in service spent one day looking at it and claimed that they could not hear any sounds. They then located the sound and told me they needed to order a part in order to fix it and they would give me a call when it was in . Over a month later I had to make a call back to the service department to inquire about the status of the part. They told me that because of covid it was difficult for them to get parts in the store; it would have been nice for them to call within a couple weeks, at least, and explain that. Miraculously the very next day the part made it into the service department and we scheduled another appointment to have the truck fixed. This is now the second time in which I have had correspondence with the service department that they did not reach out to me in a timely fashion. This is a difficult relationship because I live about 20 miles away from the facility and going back and forth is less than convenient. On a positive note everybody is very polite and responsive to interact with.

Tim Barnard is great to work with, period. This is the best place to buy a Chevy. They don't treat their customers like a number. Most dealers today 'process' customer inquiries like a receiving department, not like a business run by people who want customers. Barnard Chevrolet is different. Easy, responsive, effective communication is the difference here.

Edit: we just picked up two more brand new Chevys. This makes four consecutive deals that were not only the best price (there s more to it than just price) but also effortless experiences. I cannot stress enough to anyone considering this dealership versus a larger one Tim and his dealership treat people like family WHILE delivering the best value. Don t be fooled by the other place s boasting about their size.

Recently purchased a used car. The next day i noticed a noise coming from the steering brought it in then 2 weeks went by and it came back. They originally told me there was nothing they can do because there was nothing mechanical wrong so out of frustration i gave them a bad review. I got ahold of Jay ( manager) and he went above and beyond to take care of the problem. Me and the wife appreciate how ut was handled and i apologize for jumping to conclusions.
