Michelle and her team made the process of getting a mortgage easy, and stress-free! The lines of communications were always open. She made sure that we knew what to expect and kept us updated on the status of our loan. Her knowledge of mortgage financing,, her professional and friendly personality and her "nothing is impossible" attitude are just some of the reasons all that we would highly recommend Michelle to anyone purchasing a home.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Amber on a refinance. Amber was quick to respond and have me e-sign documents while on vacation. My current mortgage company had offered 3.5% interest and Amber was able to secure a 3.1%. This saves us 300 dollars a month on my mortgage payments that were 4%. Amber is fast, responsive, and a knowledgeable person to work with!

Though we did get off to a rocky start, I will say that I'm more than pleased with my experience. Gina and Pam were such blessing to my husband and I. The closing date never had to be moved. And I even received money at closing.

Stay away from Becky at Midlands. She doesn't know her business and will give you misleading information and then tell you ' I didn't know'.

I was blessed to have a PHENOMENAL loan officer who made my entire experience as stress free as possible. She was very patient and ALWAYS available to answer the millions of questions I had. Her honesty made me feel confident with the loan type I selected. Oh, and let s not forget the awesome interest rate I received. Don t trust this company or anything they say. They do not give the discounts they say they will and only bring it up at the last minute so you basically have to sign with them. Don t trust these people with your mortgage.

We refinanced our home with Midland Mortgage. Becky Thompson was the lending officer we chose and dealt with. The whole experience was a pleasure. The process was quick and efficient. Becky was super. She made everything run like clock work. She returned all our phone calls and answered all our questions. I would definitely recommend Becky and Midland to anyone needing

I have nothing good to say about Midlands Mortgage. We went through America's Home Place for building our house and when it came to get approved , we asked about preferred lenders. They suggested Midlands Mortgage of Columbia, SC. We were working with Mrs. Rebecca (Becky) Thompson from the beginning. At first I thought things were going to go smooth, she would be familiar with the whole process and there would be minimal hiccups. It was a night mare. When we were budgeting for the house, we were told based on what I said my income was, that we would be good on "x" number. After deciding on a house plan, putting the money down, and applying for the loan amount, Becky called on a Friday at 345 in the afternoon that our numbers were too high for my income and we would have to "figure something else out". I finally had to hand everything over to my husband because I kept getting the run around. My husband had to explain to her, a loan expert, what my income was and what debt to income percentage was and how the numbers she was coming back to us with didn't make any sense. This honestly was the first clue that we should have looked else ware but at some point there is no turning back. We caught countless mistakes throughout the whole construction loan process. when it came time to finally sign the loan modification papers, I received an email 5 hours before our appointment that we needed to come up with $2500 to be paid for with a personal check. We had already been in our house 4 weeks. We had been dealing with this company since February. At what point do you think that we should have been told that we need to come up with extra money ?? To top it all off, even the $2500 was incorrect. Becky had sent the incorrect numbers up to the mortgage company. I honestly feel like Becky, Joyce and everyone else we had the displeasure of dealing with really didn't have a clue as to what they were doing OR they just didn't care.

Michelle at Midlands Mortgage is a wonderful lender. She is very professional and caring.

Michelle Sarokas has been so helpful. I recently referred her to my office manager and she was so patient and took a lot of time with her on a small loan amount. Michelle has the heart of a teacher. I love that about her.

Jeffery Johnson assisted us with our most recent move and this was the easiest mortgage process we have encountered. All files were electronic submissions between us the him. His staff was very professional in communication between us, our realtor and attorneys for closing. If we move again, Jeffery and Midland Mortgage will be our first call after our realtor!! Great experience!!

My husband and I spent so much time working with this lender, received our pre approval, picked out our home, was set to close on the home yesterday, but... one week prior to closing, after we paid for and got the appraisal done, we were told they needed to verify employment. Mind you, we submitted the 2 years w2s and submitted pay stubs on more than one instance. And then... in underwriting, the week of closing they denied us. Saying my husbands job was sporadic. Sporadic how? My husband works away from home 6 months at a time, comes home on break a few weeks and goes back to work. We are crushed. This company failed us days before closing. Also, when we were having doubts about the home appraising for the price, Chris Odiorne told us, I will get you out of this contract. He wrote a letter of denial, but the seller dropped price for us and we wanted to continue so he wrote a new pre approval letter and we proceeded. I would never recommend them. You get strung along till days before closing. We thought we had this in the bag. Made arrangements to move out of state and even to have utilities in our name only to have them do this to us.

I bought my first house through Midland Mortgage and I could not have asked for a better, smoother experience. My loan officer Jeffrey Johnson was more than helpful and ensured as effortless of a purchase as possible. He responded quickly even outside of normal business hours and gave clear instructions as to what was required and when. More than happy with Midland Mortgage

Amber and Pam were totally amazing to work with. We were approved and closed in about 41 days!!! Both ladies were available to answer any questions we had at anytime. They are a joy to talk to and very professionally responsive. This team is the only one you need!!!

BUYER BEWARE!! Take notice of the one star reviews. Everything people said is true. Do not do business with this company. Becky Thompson is belligerent and unprofessional. Your loan process will be a sh1tshow. She will send you emails at the last second telling you that you didn't do something or send them something when you had previously sent it to her 2 - 3 times. Then your closing date on the contract won't mean a damn thing to Becky. And when you've reached your breaking point, she'll tell you to "cool it. Go have a drink." Nothing went well except for every part of our closing that Becky didn't touch. Don't give your hard earned money to Midlands Mortgage because they do not care at all if they botch your loan. We have been closed since August 18th, which was day 50 of a 45 day contract close. Becky emailed us today, a month afyer we have closed threatening that our locked down rate that we paid for two months ago expires today and we must provide her with a July 4o1k statement TODAY or else our rate we signed papers on goes up and our loan has not even sold yet. Legal action will be necessary. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Awesome people! These folks know how to take care of people. When purchasing a new home, all kinds of things can happen. From dealing with the closing attorney, to the appraiser, to the home inspector, to the termite inspector and so on, it is amazing how stressed out that has to make them, yet, they still get it done and close on time. Beth Cleary is very unprofessional and unreliable. I started the loan process in early September and ever since it has been a terrible experience with her. She will claim she will call you but never make the time, as if your time and money is unworthy. I explained to her on October 9th, 2020 that I will be going full time at another facility but I will continue to keep my current full-time job. Beth states that it was awesome and that she could work with that. On October 20th I called Beth just to be sure everything is going smoothly and she acted as if she had no clue as to who I was, she sounded really irritated with me and she acted as if she never knew about my new promotion at another facility. Beth also attempted to criticize me for having more than one job; as if that is her place! (and let me reiterate that I have already been approved for a small loan in early September which I only found out after logging on to their website). She claimed she was going to call me back, but per usual I am at the bottom of her priority list! Previous to that, I sent three emails weeks apart asking if there was anything I could do to help with the process. But of course, I get no response unless I call her. Even when I do call her it is always an excuse as to why she will call me back. If I were you I would stray away from this location and her ! Never again will I work with such an incompetent person!

All I have to say about Midland Mortgage is that if you want a for sure closing date or closing at all you may want to look elsewhere!

I called this company twice trying to get information on mortgage loan terms and requirements. The lady I spoke to was rude, unprofessional, and had a bad attitude. She wasn't helpful at all. Plus their website is false advertisement on minimum credit score requirement VS what I got over the phone. Bad customer services all around.

Jane Hall (my loan officer) was great! Not only did she offer prompt, thorough, and customer-friendly service, she found a way to cut my monthly payment down to less than half! Yes. Less than half! Jane was quick to let me know what I needed and when I needed it. We did not run into any snags, got the appraisal done quickly, and closed in "no-time"! I've already recommended her to everyone and plan to use her services for future transactions, because I KNOW I'll get the *star* treatment!

Becky Thompson helped us so much throughout the whole process of getting a loan to build. She was very quick to respond to emails and phone calls and always had time to talk when I had questions. If you keep all of your paperwork together when documents are requested, you won't have a problem if something is requested more than once. I would use Becky again!
