I ve known Darrell for about 10 yrs. I ve relied on him to clean up my credit and most recently help me secure nearly $1,000,000 in business financing. I definitely recommend him and his services.
I have known Darrell for approximately ten years now. I have never had the opportunity to do any business with him -- although that may change shortly -- but I would not hesitate to do so. I have been a tax preparer and accountant for the last 40 years so I know my way around the financial world. Darrell is in the top tier when it comes to honesty and integrity -- not to mention product knowledge. If you need help in the financial world, Darrell will go the extra mile to make sure you are well taken care of.
I've had the pleasure of using Midas Financial co for years. Not only has it been a great service, Darrell has his team became great friends. They are great at following through, and delivering.
I originally made contact with Midas Financial through a close mutual friend. He vouched for the company and put together a face-to-face meeting with Wes and Darrell to discuss funding for me and my friends respective companies. I decided to give them a try first, and began the process they required to obtain their funding. During the process, there were situations that I could only describe as shady and unsettling, and the legality of some of the process was being questioned in my own mind. I would always put it to rest with These guys were recommended by a good friend, and they probably know more than me about this. and I would leave it at that.
I often questioned the fact -sometimes openly to them on the phone- that they hinted at getting me funding I couldn t get without them, yet they kept asking what banks I used, and ultimately, ended up ONLY using banks I was already a member of for loans, and then shotgunning credit card apps out in hopes of getting approvals at other institutions. This is something anyone can do, and not at the ridiculously high fees they charge. Ultimately they NEVER ended up using the supposed unavailable-to-me financial connections they had. This, and other details I would rather not mention in a public forum, were cause for concern. Couple all that with the absolute lack of communication during the process, and the vagueness of a lot of their answers to my questions, and having to basically beg for a paid invoice when it was over, I was less than happy.
I warned my close friend who was also looking to work with them of what happened, and of my unsavory experience with the company. But in the end, after paying the high fee (Which you find out you can only wire or pay in cash after the fact) I did eventually get some of the funding I was going after. Maybe I just had a bad experience, and they would have to decide on their own if it was worth it going forward. I decided not to write a review at the time, as to not interfere with the possible funding of my friend if they did decide to use Midas Financial.
So this brings us to why I am on here writing a review of this company after the fact. My good friend did end up trying to get funding with Midas and it was an even worse experience than I had. Afterwards, they wrote a review reflecting his high fees, lackadaisical attitude toward anyone he thinks is below him financially, and shady-at-best business practices. Now, Darrell is emailing my friend and his family threatening emails, saying they must remove their reviews or he will come after them financially. Disrespect, bullying, and censorship of the truth are things I cannot abide, and that is why I am writing this review.
After their experience, I ended up doing the digging I should have done beforehand. I didn t have to look too hard before I found multiple reviews across multiple platforms telling the same story of him threatening to sic his lawyers on people as soon as they gave a bad review, or questioned him after services rendered . You will find these stories across his credit repair services, funding services, and even a few from people who have done work for him. He talks about being a street-level capitalist from Michigan and prides himself on not being a financier of the Wall-Street elite. That s a good slogan and all, but in my opinion, he only wants to finance the little guys because he knows they don t have the know-how, financial backing and/or lawyers on retainer to come after him, and he can bully them into silence.
Great experience, easy process. They walked me through every step and got me the funding I needed for a buaibusi venture in 3 weeks. I would highly recommend Midas for your funding needs.

This company is a scam. I did some work for them totaling about 15 hours and Darrell had the nerve to 1 complain about a $400 bill and 2 offer to pay $50.
The whole time I was willing to change the price if he thought it was too much or fix the work if he thought it was sub-par, as he put it. And all I got was "if you enter my site again I'll have my lawyer come after you". Real unprofessional set of guys running this business and I wouldn't trust them to help me out.
Darrell Hornbacher is one of the most honorable men I ve been blessed to know. He is an honest, Christian man and he operates his business in that same manner. He has grown to be a trusted friend and future business associate, when I need to make plans for my life in retirement; I wouldn t trust anyone else with those decisions.

I would never recommend this company, and it is my opinion that their business practices are dodgy and deceitful. My husband and I went thru Midas, after being referred to Darrell and Wes by a mutual acquaintance. We promptly gathered the information that was requested and sent it directly to Wes . We were very up front about the availability of some of our documentation , and even provided my husbands credit report prior to engaging in business with Midas. While we felt their fees to be quite high, my husband was verbally assured that the amount of funding we were seeking would not be an issue: that they had access to a plethora of funding that the average person couldn t obtain on their own. (Of course, they creatively changed their story and said our range of funding was much lower, a fraction of the original amount we were seeking, in writing.) Throughout the process, we were asked to send documents that we had already sent, as well as provide documents that we explicitly stated we could not provide from the start. Our contact information wasn t kept straight, my husband was referred to by a different name on several occasions and outside of the repeated request for duplicate information, the communication was scant. We would inquire about the status of funding, but our questions were evaded until they required, yet, another document. In the event that our inquiries were finally answered, it was inexplicit and dismissive.
While they did end up securing some funding for us, it was minimal in comparison to what was discussed initially. After they rapid fired all the applications out, my husbands credit, and established accounts were adversely affected. When we received the invoice for their services , we raised some concerns, and inquired about a third party that was receiving commissions, without our knowledge. Darrell refused to share that information saying that we cannot dictate how his business is operated. He also accused us of trying to evade payment, and threatened with collections and a lawsuit, simply because we had questioned/ challenged what was being charged and wanted clarification as to why a individual/third party was receiving compensation on our file, without disclosure to us.
Even after making payment in full, we continued to receive discourteous, accusatory emails threatening more lawsuits, simply because we are sharing our honest interaction with Midas Financial. As the average middle class family, trying to get ahead and manage our own business, we feel it is our duty to share our personal experience so that people have all the information they need to make their own choice. Afterall, that is the sole purpose of reviews.
As you can see, Midas seems to be in full damage control, because they had a few people leave HONEST reviews. Reviews that they cannot delete- reviews that aren't five stars so they can "copy paste" onto their website to seem that we are, magically, the only ones to have ever had a complaint. They now are responding to bad reviews left by previous employees/customers seemingly because their review ratings have dropped and they cannot claim the facade they have created: that they have NEVER had a complaint.These bad reviews didn't seem to matter much or warrant a response when it didn't have a significant impact on their review score.
I believe all the "evidence" you need is here- EVERY single response includes them seeking legal action, or running to their attorney. Over what? A few honest, public reviews! It doesn't matter how much money Midas has secured for other clients, simply put, numbers statistics don't equate to or replace morals. Religion, charity work, social status or even being a family man doesn't exonerate anyone from showing dignity and respect to other human beings. In regards to putting the information on the internet as far as our payment, as "a experienced person would know," we do not have any control over how fast the bank clears funds. The Funds were paid and collected- not sure there's any valid point there, other than grasping at straws.
I am familiar with Darrell and Midas Financial company. Darrell and the folks that work there are honest and always do right by their clients. As a former Assistant States Attorney I do not endorse any person or company lightly. In the case of Midas Financial I would whole heartedly recommend them to a friend.

My experience with Midas Financial Company has been nothing short of stellar! After a terrible life circumstance, my credit was SHOT 500's would have been a welcome # to see on my report. After the 2008 Crash and the Crash of my Marriage I turned to Midas and Co to help me establish a few lines of credit and help to repair my horrible credit score. I met Darrell Hornbacher about ten years ago and we became friends but I knew very little about his business, Midas Financial. When we first met I didn't need any of the services Darrell's company provided but little did I know I'd soon experience heart failure. And after fighting with the hospital over an "extra" 100K tacked on my bill they sent that portion to the credit bureaus. I had perfect credit and had paid more than 200k to the hospital already but because I disputed the extra amounts the collection company reported 32 separate negative items. Most of those were for under $100 each and all from the same hospital.
I called Darrell and expressed my frustration and inability to get any of this rectified directly with the hospital. He told me to send him all the info and trust him. I did and over the next two months I saw these disputed items dropped from my report and my score started heading to the upper 700's.
Darrell and his firm delivered exactly what they said they would. As a bonus since the collection company no longer had leverage they did agree to settle the remaining balance more inline with what I felt was owed.
I have to say I didn't believe at first that a company can really fix your credit. But after reviewing and seeing post from Darrell in LinkedIn. I told my wife we have to do it. And we're so happy we did. Darrell and his team was there all the way thru and even at the end Darrell made sure everything was fixed behore he decided to complete the case. Being a Certified Planner, it is extremely important for me to know who I am dealing with when it comes to referring my clients and friends. The only thing this company was good for was empty promises and outrageous fees. After reviewing my credit report, I was told the funding I was seeking would not be an issue. However, it was not ANYWHERE near what was initially discussed. I was asked to provide the same information several times, they couldn't even get my name correct most the time, and the owner is completely disrespectful. They claim to have a fancy program on how to get you lending- not the case, and you can do this on your own, or at least find a company that would take advantage of you.
I have had a fantastic experience working with Darrell. It's really clear that he knows what he is doing, and he has been responsive to any question I ever had. He tells it like it is, and he goes above and beyond. Definitely recommend!

His ethics and integrity are far above and highly recommended. He is a straight shooter and never once did he push the limitations as he delivered what he promised. The CEO is a scammer who claims to care for people and what they do. But that was not the case with Darrell. Complaining about over 10 hours of service, insulting our work and not giving a chance to fix anything deemed "unprofessional" - this company is a hoax.
This company is great! The dedication and attention that they provide to their customers is wonderful. The things that they tell you aren t just a lie or to get over on you. I have known Darrell for sometime now and I have to tell you he will work with and for you through it all. The countless times and hours we have spend talking to each other about my folder with him is awesome. He defiantly will let you know if he can help you or not. He stays true to his word and will not let you down. He is defiantly dependable and trustworthy on everything he does for you.
