Mid Staffs Mind Review

Whet here but cant say it was good at all.
I felt a lot worse when i left
The councillors dont seem very good she just did not now what she was doing
Any way cant recommend

Well let's start
I when here for a bit and what a big mistake I said coming here
The counciler was very proud and picked on me for my mental health problems
I did a complaint and the manager just may as well told me to get lost.
This really bad treatment I trusted them but got bad treetment .
In the end all can say don't go here.

They've phoned me three times at 9:30am, and 11am when I'm asleep. I then call back at 12, but nobody answers my calls. They've taken me off the waiting list even though I've been trying to contact them.

What a joke of a place the councilers dont know what they are doing at all
And the violence that came from them was really bad
when to do a complaint the manager (Dk) was very rude and nasty
And when i went to the CEO (kw) she admitted it they were in the wrong but she would not do anything about the councillor or manager at all
The ceo is a scam artist she one of them people who has there hand in the till making money on the backs of the mentally ill and laughing in your face
I wont go again hell this place needs condemning mind
the police need to look in to ns mind

The oasis I needed when everything was just too much. My counsellor's Noel and Edward were brilliant. The team at the centre were caring, interested and helpful.

I used this service and received CBT therapy. My experience was a Young, inexperienced therapist who failed to take me outside for exposure therapy, that didn't happen at all when it's supposed to be fundamentally important within CBT!

The overall quality of the service is beyond unacceptable, half of the session every week consisted of the therapy being random conversation which wasn't particularly relevant to my problems.

I found the therapy sessions to be woefully lacking focus, and my mental health problems make it difficult for me to concentrate, this lack of focus on behalf of the therapist compounded my concentration issues!

Another local organisation called Healthy Minds have provided myself exactly the same type of therapy and it is miles ahead of North Staffs MIND with experienced, professional and highly trained staff that are very good at getting to the roots of the problems and they receive a tiny fraction of the budget that MIND have available to them.

This is one place I don't like
The councillors don't have any training and no card about any one with mental illness
And all they do is take money out of the system when places like the NHS need the money.
mind have done more harm to people than good.

Had counselling here in 2017, more than the NHS has ever done!

And need better understanding

I really enjoyed doing my CBT with Amanda, I felt that she was very reassuring, never put me down or made me feel like my feelings were invalid.
she did a great job explaining the things I learnt during my cbt and was calm when I got upset.
this place sadly has a bad rep, but I do believe there are good counsellors and bad counsellors, you just need to find the right ones you feel comfortable with.

Well it went really badly from start to finish never had a bad councilor hb before
But on the upside she did so me how bad the ceo and manager are
Dont know if i will ever go back to Mind again

Another case of a complete waste of time . After several phone calls , i still wasn't offered anything nor any appointments at other locations.
This was the worst place in terms of attitude that I've spoken to in ages

Over Christmas they are all ways closed
Not even one person is working people's problems don't go away just because the lazy staff don't want to help any one.
They get all that money and won't help any one
I not surprised that the CEO (kw) has a really bad reputation
I going to some were that actually want to help people instead of just taking money!!!

North Staff Mind is
Very under trained staff
And need more positive behaviour
And respect for people with mental health and stop treating them badly!!!

Lets just say they completely wrecked my life up completely
And they say they are there to help!!

The office worker I spoke to the had a really bad attitude
I will Not ever go if this is how they treat people like this
I hate to see how bad the councillors are.

I was in the supported housing section in 2017 from the start something seemed very peculiar about the management I would definitely not recommend this place as there seemed to be a lot of intimidation aggression towards residents from management and some favourites that they acted inappropriately around and treated differently hopefully something has changed now.

Now bank holiday is here I can get round to coming this review
Mind is a terrible place it's like the staff have had no training at all I mean how many times can on councillor say catch 22 every one know if a councillor says catch22 that they don't know what they are doing
and my God she said it a lot I mean why is the manager hiring people like this which makes you wonder is the manager up to this job
She seemed to get a annoyed when you have to explain any thing to her
And this is not the first time for me at North staffs mind I think the staff need more training or just new staff
There just like ametures pretending to be councillors.
And she came over very heartless and cold
Any way as a hole the times I've been here it's not a good place if you need help.

The staff here discrimination against me because I have a mental health problems

When I went it seemed ok at first I got in really fast
But the councillor was not very good at all
She was mean really horrible!!!
I was feeling very upset every time I left there.

North staffs mind is not a good place to go. !!

I have some bad things about mind in the past
But i went anyway
And one thing i can say is they are a lot worse than i heard
The staff have no training at all as one of the staff told me
The ceo and managers have a lot of hate towards people with mentil heath problems
And the ceo can quite offensive as well
And the cherman are not much better
All in all really bad place to be they seem to like people suffering a lot

So went to the north staffs one
And it's no way as good here

Staff are not good at what they do
For one they are scroungers they just want money for doing nothing they dont even know anything about mental health and all they say is we are a charity which spells money cheats
And got moody when they did not get any money but
They are just scamming the system and dont care who they harm
With the ceo and all there chairmen taking money of the nhs and mentally ill cant you tell they are tory supporters
All the staff should be ashamed of there self

I tried here as I was looking for a different approach to my mental health
But it was really bad how they work and

I went to nsm and it went really badly the councillor she really bad and nasty
she push me in to taking my own life.
and now I have thousands of scars been told I have trauma thanks to north staffs mind

All he wanted was money of me
He did not care about any of my problems

The first was not bad but the second time really bad
Nasty staff from the woman on the phone and the councillors are not adequate need a lot more know how about been with people with mental health problems
I would not go here again ever no north staffs mind is a very nasty place

North staffs mind is truly Horrade place to go to!!

They is a lot of stigma in there they don't like people with mental health
And if you are on benefit they will pick on you as well.

The councillor lied to me all the time she was going help me one way then changed her mind
She seemed to like playing with my head she is a very bad person .

And the CEO just let's them get a way with any thing .
I don't even now if the CEO has any control
But one thing is for sure it the CEO is a soulless person

I hope both starts mind closes down for good
As they say you see the charity logo just means they are very evil and dangerous .

Whent to North Staffs Mind here
I went for a bit but the councillor was horrible
and when i was worse because of her
she tryed to force me in to a ward against my will.
No one can believe that this councillor is still working at nsm but she is according to the ceo
And the ceo and manager likes this kind of action to happen.

One was at the dudson centure and he is really bad
And the other she was not any better
I was malishasly attacked
I did a complant but the ceo has kept them there any way

Very good experience and I falt really good with my councillor Jo but I don't really have enough time to tell her the truth cuz I was scared

Not a very good place to bed when there is abusive staff
And the CEO won't do any thing about it.

Well I went to North staffs mind
Did the face to face with I think the manager Diana
She did not seem to interested any way
Had an appointment for not have to wait to long (only up side)
The woman I was seeing their did not seem to know what she was doing and got aggressive when she got questioned
It was one he'll of a bad time here

I wouldn't be here without my wonderful councillor from Mind. Cannot recommend them enough.

This awhile ago now I did complain but the manager did not what to now at all
I would hope thing have got better by now but what I have heard it's even worse now

The woman i saw there got me feeling a lot lower than i was be for
I felt like i wanted to kill my self
All the manger carded about when i did the complaint was money
So money means more to north staffs mind than the people they're supposed to help!!

Really horrible place for people to go to it they have lentil health problems

But this time I tried North staffs mind
How they can call them self as councillors is beyond me!!!

I think that North staffs mind is one of the most corrupt places in stoke on Trent
And they don't mind showing it as well.

I have used this service for a number of years. They have without a single doubt helped me to overcome and accept many things, turning my life around in to a positive. There are not enough stars to show my gratitude for the wonderful job MIND do (against the odds that they relentlesly face with budget cuts).xx

Not even one star. Didn't listen. Wouldn't help. No advice given just told to ring police. No help what do ever

Awful patronising and rude. No experience or people skills what so ever. Would urge everyone to avoid. I fully accept I missed taking my son to an appointment for a genuine reason but to strike him off the books when he only had 4 sessions anyway was harsh. To be fair though the way these people work there would be no way anything would be gained from taking him anyway. Absolutely awful service building for a start is dreary and makes you feel judged as soon as you walk in and then the staff looking down their untrained noses adds to this. I'm glad I didn't have to go for myself and visit gp and friends instead as I, without shadow of a doubt know I'd suffer more from setting foot into one of their rooms. I shall be making it known to the consultant whom referred us that any future funding they give and referrals they make are completely wasted. They have no idea how children's minds work and the compassion of an amoeba.

she did not know any thing at all
And very abusive she had a no care approach i left wont go again.

Well I went for some counselling here for a bit but left feel really bad about my self
They made me feel really low about my self and it's take me ages to get better .
I don't like most staffs mind they just don't care about any one at all
I feel upset even now when I think about this place.

North staffs Mind is operating in the Dudson Centre
And there is a very bad woman councillor working there ( HB )
She courses trouble all the time and especially with over organisations
And she we was in a lot of trouble in crewe some years ago
Well she is there it's not a good idea going here.
The CEO and management know about this her but Don't care at all the trouble she courses .

At first I thought is was going ok
But after a bit the councilor was a bit uprut
And then it went a lot worse she started scheming at me with no course..!!
I went again but things got worse
I had to work out I could not take it.
Shame it was good at first..

For a short time I went here
But the council's he was nasty
And did not want to know at all especially when I had chest pains when I was there...

I came here as I was trying to get some help
But the counselor was all ways very abusive with me and even was abusive about other people that were going to north staffs mind.
There is no confidentiality at North staffs mind as she told me about other people here and every the CEO she had a go at.
And even though I complained there keeping this counsellor working here!!!.
If you don't mind all your info leaked to every one by all means go to North staffs mind.

Have nothing but nice things to say about this service. Always seen me pretty quickly. Supported and cared in anyway possible. Haven't nt messed me around like other services and helped find ways of managing and coping. Gave me somewhere to turn everytime with such understanding and patience. Always so much encouragement to talk and be open and feel at ease with the counselor that i saw. Definitely recommend

I see a lot of complaints... I understand the the suffering however these people are a charity and to the best of my knowledge are not government funded..
Nothing is perfect least of all us..

There are no easy fixes to mental health.
Its all about thoughts everything you feeling anxious depression disconnection emptiness paranoia racing thought self-doubt anger suicidal wanting to escape etc
and I've felt the lot... All at the same time.

The guys at mind can do very limited things however they do have an understanding which in this field is so difficult as the human mind is literally unlimited its infinite.

But how can they help when your expecting them to work the miracles you have been unable to work yourself thus far??
You have to understand it's your mind in your head.
And the only access to your mind is from what comes out of your mouth...
Now if you dont know or are shy etc and that's fine, how can the psychologists know ?
Its a guessing game isn't it?
A guessing game on something that's has infinite possibilities .

Now before you complain think this.

Do you have control over your thoughts and yourself?
I'd suggest no which is why your attended mind in the first place.

You think depression you become depressed
You think anxiety you are anxious
You think anything and that's what you become...
Including if you think you can't control or understand your thoughts guess what you cant control your thoughts... Thoughts control your feelings ..

You think angry things your gonna be angry

Accepting your experiences is the first step to where you remember being.. And then instead of wanting and wish for a miracle that will not happen ..
Change that instead for exploring your memories and to why you feel the way you do then your in control of your self then you'll be able to talk to mind and then they will be able to help you because ive been there....
And If you cant help yourself
Who can?
If you feel suicidal swap it and fight the recurring beliefs and thoughts cause i know how it works... And say no over and over again until you can slot in what you want in your head ..
If you want confidence you think confidence
And its as easy as that... You become lost to yourself and you need to bring that back..

OK... I believe in you and so should you
If nobody else does that is their problem and you don't own it..
Your life is all you need to be happy..
And you can work on yourself inside your own head

Replace the i cant
With i will
You'll fail a lot but you can get there when you're willing to get up and keep trying..
Repeat postive stuff
Let's face it you have willing accepted the negative stuff to repeat with ease...
Own what's yours give back to others what is thiers and you cannot fail in your recovery..

It takes time and work and emotions.
Thats all
, it doesn't Matter how many understand you won't make a difference.
ultimately its your mind and you have to be the driver not the passenger you have become.

It been about a year now since I was at nsm
but it's take me all this time to get over what the councillor did to me
She was nasty and all ways saying catch 22 all the time like that was supposed to explain every thing to me
I was all ways shaking when I left there it still make me feel sick when I think about her and mind.

When for a little but of help as ive had counselling before at another place and when very well
This was the first time i when to north staffs mid
Well never got past the interview as she said i was to old to come here
But did not stop her from asking for money of me what a load of scroungers north staffs mind have

but on the upside i have found a better place for counciling now
I really dont recommend north staffs mind at all

I went with bereavement the council's reaction was anger and aggressive
To the point I started to feel suicidal which I did not feel before coming here
I won't ever come to this place again

At first all was ok then she got very aggressive at one point she muttered about the manager bot really know what she was on about .
Any way thing got worse over time and i had to leave as i was feeling suicidal if i stayed i would be dead now.

I went to north staffs mind because i suffer with anxiety
And i have campaigned and donated money to them other the years
But i did not realise how bad the councillors would treat me she got all restless and started to have a massive outrage of anger on me.

when i went to the manger she mocked me so she would not take the complaint on at all
I will not campaign for north staffs mind and i will not give any more of my money to them ever again
This place and all the staff are scam artist just after money for there own back pocket.

And when you go here they were not very helpful at all

I have heard some very disturbing thing about North Staffs Mind
and then I found out its all true there was this girl who went to North Staffs Mind and after the councillor finished with her she ended up in AE she cut her wrists and all most died and there are others as well Don't know who the councillors are but the CEO will know.
I've herded very bad thing about the CEO and how she does not mind if the staff do this to people the CEO is not fit to be running north staffs mind if she dose not mind people committing suicide .
In my mind all the staff at north staffs mind have blood on there hands
And the police and council need to do some investigating at North Staffs Mind before some one dies.
I don't know how these people can sleep at night.

When here for a while it did not go to well.
They act very unprofessional.
And dont know much about mental health at all.
And treatment was very bad

When i went here it did not go to well
The councillor ridiculed me all the time
I felt so depressed at the end of each appointment
I could go any more and had to leave

And now need to find somewhere else to go for counselling.

I decided to go to mind as I went there before
But the behavior of the person I was seeing was so bad I had to leave
And the manager did not care at all about it
North staffs mind is really gone down just lately
Allowing the councillors to be this way is unacceptable
I won't even give any thing again to North staffs mind I hope they close down

To North Staffs mind I have my last counselling session today with my counseller Gemma on the phone this is best place to get counselling in Stoke on trent I have turn my life around my anxiety is getting better now I had a bad year last year my mental health was not good at the time I would like thank all staff

It's a shame I've been to mind before and went ok
Really bad how much mind has been let go in the gutter by bad people there
