The gentleman that helped me over the phone was extremely helpful, candid and honest with me. I appreciated that and his opinion on my situation SO MUCH. Impressive.
I'm usually very apprehensive about taking my computer in for repairs b/c I don't know enough to tell when they're being honest. This was NOT the case here. Will responded promptly to my online inquiry and laid everything out clearly for me so that I knew what I was expecting. Best, there were no surprises at the end. This was a great transaction and exactly what I want from this type of business: straight forward and no BS.
I have worked with The Owner, Will O'Neal, for several years and his attention to detail and comprehensive IT coverage are hard to match. As a colleague of Will's I confidently refer clients and projects to Mid-Atlantic Computers. There are very few IT support firms that have a strong expertise in Apple Technology so if you have a company with a lot of Apple Tech this is the place to check out.
Very knowledgeable and professional. We use them exclusively for our business needs as they are dependable and keep us running.
I have used this company twice after having problems with my iMac ... They are SO efficient, SO knowledgeable and SO obliging. You are what you do, not what you say you will do. This definitely applies to Mid-Atlantic Computer Solutions.
I would give Mid-Atlantic Computer Solutions ZERO stars if I could! They are greedy, unintelligent and dishonest! They charged my father over one thousand dollars for a website we could never use and severely overcharged him for other very basic IT services that basically amount to watching a bar go across the screen as software installs, a service for which they charge $175 dollars an hour. In addition to this, they roped my father into SEVERAL predatory auto-renewing monthly subscription services with their company, many of which he was not even aware. Any IT contractor that actually cared about their clients would not recommend acquiring their IT infrastructure needs like webhosting and email from the same small business installing the systems but rather, would tell them to cut out the middle man and go directly to a company like Microsoft.
My father, who is running his own performing arts business, has since fired Will Oneal and Midatlantic Computer Solutions for their many mistakes and attempts to overcharge. We have been attempting to contact Will Oneal and Midatalntic computer solution to collect the refund they promised for a website he talked my father into, but was never able to complete and we could never use. Although Mr. Oneal has agreed in writing to provide my father with a full refund, as of yet he has not responded to any of our requests or phone calls.
He also recommended my father get off of Apple and move to PC. Something that could easily have been avoided. Now my father is stuck with an awful windows computer that he hates and there was absolutely nor reason for it. I would strongly urge any small business to think twice about working with these characters and chose a more reputable provider.
We received excellent, clear advice, and our technology issues were solved with no headaches whatsoever. We were listened to carefully and different options were explained at different price points, and there was no pressure either way. It's a real pleasure to work with these professionals.
Will spent over an hour trying to resuscitate my defunct iMac. He then determined what would be involved in getting my data onto a new machine, and spent even more time outlining which iMac I would want as a replacement, as well as the pros and cons of each. He then emailed a spec of exactly what I should order. All of this set me back $75. I hope I'm not back any time soon, but if I have Mac problems, I know where to go.
