They attended to us very quickly & Dr. Redmond was updating the status of our dog & his condition in a very timely manner! Dr. Redmond put our mind at ease quickly with regards to the care of our pet. He was very professional, thorough & explained all the tests needed & the care being rendered. I would highly recommend Metropolitan Vet, it s staff & Dr. Redmond. This place was recommended by Gaslight Animal Clinic when they couldn t take in our pet & his status required an urgent / emergency care.

So glad I decided to bring my dog here late at night when we had a little emergency. They were so nice and prompt. The vet was very thorough. Also, I found the prices to be very reasonable, because I expected a lot higher of a bill for a 24-hour clinic. Excellent, thank you.

This has to be absolutely the best customer service I have ever had the fortune on enjoying. They cared for my dog like she was their own. They really wanted myself, family and dog to be happy. Well, they achieved it. A-one place to have your pet taken care of!!!!!

Jefferson Animal Hospital referred us to Metropolitan Veterinarian because of a possible broken jaw after being hit by a car. We were very pleased with Metropolitan's services and they care they gave our dog. Side note: Jefferson Animal Hospital only spoke to us through a speaker and didn't bother to examine our dog before referring us to a vet 20 miles away. Not good when your dog is covered in blood and you think he's dying. Metropolitan Veterinarian's staff was very attentive and kept us informed with every step. Thankfully our dog lived. Would definitely drive right past Jefferson Animal Hospital to go out of our way to Metropolitan Veterinarian. Awesome Vet and staff!

Pulled up, within 5 minutes someone came out and took our information, went back inside, back out in 5 minutes and took both dogs in. First time here, great experience. Friendly staff and very sincere. Our go to for emergencies from now on. Just hope it's no time soon.

Took a kitten here. The wait wasn t too bad and the people seemed friendly. Due to Covid I couldn t go in with the kitten. Only took the kitten in for possible broken leg and a cold. We got sent on our way being told the kitten was just fine. When waking up the following morning between 8-10 hours after seeing the vet, the kitten had passed in her sleep. How thorough are the exams that they give your pets when you can t be in the room with them? Feel like maybe they didn t do the best they could have done or maybe skipped a step. For the price of just the exam itself I feel like I shouldn t have ended up with a dead kitten not even 24 hours later expecting the poor thing to be ok.

We brought our german shepherd here for an emergency visit where she ended up having to stay for two nights. The staff made me feel so comfortable leaving her in their hands. Incredibly kind and thorough in their explanation of all possibilities and examinations. And out of all the emergency vets in the area, they had the shortest wait time. They re as prompt as they can be given the circumstances.

We accidentally dropped a non dog friendly pill on the floor and our dog raced for it and swallowed it despite our attempts to sweep it from her mouth. We called pet poison control who told us we needed to take her to a vet ER since it was after hours for our vet. We took her to metro and she was taken back very quickly and everything was clearly explained. They had to induce vomiting, do a charcoal laxative and give her fluids. They kept her overnight with fluids and for observation. She ended up doing fine and went home the next afternoon. They kept us up to date, calling us the following morning and also when she was ready to go home, explaining everything. It seemed like they genuinely cared for her well-being. It wasn t cheap but we ve honestly paid more for emergency care elsewhere so I d call it average as far as cost. I d definitely recommend for an emergency situation.

When my dog was yelping for a full day and went to...

When my dog was yelping for a full day and went to the far back corner of our yard as if she was ready to just give up, we took her to Metro because Gaslight Vet recommended them and would not see her. The doctor examined her and called me saying she did not see anything wrong except maybe her neck. She told me she cowered down when she touched her neck and told me she could have psychological problems very soon. In short, the vet scared me and I realized that my dog was just scared since I could not go in due to COVID. I realized when we got home that it was actually her back left leg that was causing her so much pain. How the doctor confused her neck with her back leg with a medical degree is beyond me. I vowed to never take my dog there again. A year later my dog split her ear down the middle where she bled everywhere. Nobody else was open so I was forced to go back. Due to how busy they were, I had to leave her at 9pm and they said she would be seen at 2am. I called them at 5am and they said they still had not gotten to her but it would be soon. They called back and told me the clipped and cleaned her ear. I wasn t sure what this meant but found out when I picked her up that they reopened her entire wound that had started to heal to clean it out. She was brought to my car with a cone and her ear still split one inch at the bottom and bleeding everywhere. I was charged the $150 for them to do absolutely nothing. I called and asked twice if this was ok. The first doctor told me if she didn t stop bleeding that I may have to bring her back for surgery. When I called a day later since it was clear her ear was not going back together, they told me she was fine and that in the future I could get plastic surgery done for her but that she was fine with the split in her ear. It is two weeks later and her ear is healed with the 1 inch slit. My dog walks with her head tilted 1/2 the time now and does not play with my other two dogs like she use to. You can tell her whole balance is off and she is miserable. I tell every dog owner I know to avoid this place at all costs. I gave them two chances and will drive two hours in the future if I have to, just to avoid this place. Do not get me wrong, every person I ever talked to was as nice and friendly as ever, which I do appreciate but I think maybe they are too busy to give my dog the care she truly deserves. I advise you if you care about your animal, to stay as far away as possible from this place.
