I've been recording constant phone calls about the guy who used to have my cellphone number. I have no idea who this guy is, and no idea how to contact him. I was randomly assigned this number at a mall kiosk.

I hired MetCredit to recover a court settlement I had received from a general contractor. Two months after I had hired them nothing had been resolved. After some investigation on the part of myself and my lawyer we came up with a lead and as I had an agreement with MetCredit I provided them with the details to finalize things. The file was resolved within two days of me providing them the additional information. I would expect any company who required outside assistance to resolve a task they were assigned to be a little appreciative of the help and offer some small decrease in their rates/fees for allowing them the opportunity to resolve the file quickly. Not MetCredit, they had absolutely no problem taking a full 25% cut of the settlement. The general contractor had actually agreed on his own to just pay out the debt so he could move on, so realistically I could have easily waited until my agreement with MetCredit expired and collected the full amount on my own. As I was trying to be fair and reasonable however I decided to let MetCredit proceed. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to see this come to a resolution but disappointed that another company I decided to take advantage one last time. If they had done the job on their own I would have had no problem paying the full amount, but taking full payment when the result was handed to them seems unreasonable. 80-90% of their fee would have been more than fair and would have shown some character, just have a hard time respecting a company that is willing to take credit for someone else's work.

If i could give a 0 star I would trust me. This company is the worst company. I get multiple calls a day, text messages and I get passed around from person to person . They don't really care about anything expect money and everyone I talked to is 100% rude . I wouldn't even answer their calls unless they learn how to deal with your clients so disrespectful!

Got multiple calls and emails from this place saying I owe $2500 on a towing bill which was never my responsibility. Long story short, I sold my car 3 YEARS ago to someone, marked it as a sold status with the ministry, vehicle was in a collision with new owner police showed up at my house asking if I still owned the car, I showed them the sold status and they gave me the police report and said the vehicle has nothing to do with me anymore. One year later I get a call from a towing place saying I owe 1000$ for a car I no longer own? I explained the situation to towing company and gave them police report and sold status papers and they said NO PROBLEM do not worry the car will be disposed of. 2 years later this met credit place is calling me all the time emailing me begging for $2500 and they killed my credit without me knowing just as I'm about to apply for a mortgage. I gave the credit place all necessary documents to prove I don't own the car which they requested, now they have started harrasing me again. I will be having my lawyer deal with this place they are hideously unprofessional and even after I have provided the papers showing proof the debt is not mine and the car is not mine they continue to harass me, I will be having my lawyer contact them and most likely be suing for affecting my credit.

most of the staff are nice and willing to help you, but some of them are very rude and talk to you if you are beneath them and they are better then you. Didn't appreciate it at all and waiting for a call back from management in regards to this poor treatment

I repeatedly told them to email me because phone calls are inaccessible to me due to anxiety and hearing loss. When I finally gave up and called them I asked the lady to email me several times and she continued on with the conversation as if I hadn't said anything several times until she very shortly said "please give me this information otherwise the calls will continue." I felt harassed and threatened. It was only at the end of the call when I had given up on getting anything by email that she finally asked if I would like her to email me the instructions. The whole thing was ableist and very upsetting. I am pretty sure that this goes against Consumer Protection Act. I'll be looking into the matter.

She actually told me to sell my pets and to eat kraft dinner and if I didn't I would never be able to afford a nice house. A bunch of agro karens working here. If you get a call from them put them on speaker phone and record it.

We were initially hesitant to use a collection agency because of the upfront costs and nearest offices in Toronto or Vancouver, but after contacting MetCredit Edmonton for a quote we were pleased with the fast, professional response. After a protracted period of unable to collect even regular payments on a difficult account, MetCredit has accomplished more in a few short weeks than I have in many months. Thank you MetCredit.

I cancelled Koodo connection back in 2019 March. I now been getting metcredit calls for collecting the money I owe!. I really don't get when I have cancelled my subscription over the phone. Koodo and metcredit is total rip off ( scam) . I had to pay $220 to resolve the matter. The lady on the phone is so disgusting , unruly behavior .

She was making it sound like I was being diffult even tho I wasn't the one doing the talking. I maybe said two "o.k.'s". Then I asked my question. Then she told me to relax. It s so easy to have somebody s credit damaged by collections to say a $200 bill. But I had a client who owed $16,800 of past invoices and these guys won t even do anything about them - not even have the courage to post to their bureau? Was just a waste of time. Offer people a generous sum of money and even that does not change lazy. Wasted days and days of my life trying to get a hold of the right people about the matter - which I ll never get back.

Even funnier when they asked me to provide proof the client owed us money, and not asking for proof of them PAYING, when there was a clear paper trail of an agreement for paid work in place.

Don t waste your time and go straight to the courts.

First, just because you can't find my name in your system does not mean that I haven't had an experince with you. If you don't like my review that doesn't mean I have to take it down.

What I have encountered from your office is harrassment and threats. You can't bully people into doing things, just like I've read in many of the reviews. I understand your job may be frustrating to have to deal with collections and unhappy people, but the way you interact with them can make a world of a difference. I believe your entire team needs to take classes on customer service.

Edit: After failing to validate the debt, produce the contract, or to provide proof that payment was taken as agreed and not in one lump sum plus late fees after a four month lapse, they have now put a fraudulent mark against my employee's credit. I'll reiterate what I say below, this company is slimy. Well guys, there are consequences for making false reports to Equifax and TransUnion and I look forward to ensuring that you experience them.

I am currently dealing with this company on behalf of a young employee who came to me today in a panic.

He was told by a debt collector that if he did not call back and pay his bill by 4 PM today his credit would be "wrecked." He was told that it was up to him to validate the debt with the merchant and that Met was not responsible to do so.

I called back with my employee and to say I'm stunned is an understatemetn. Nothing on the account is supposed to hit his credit until the 16th according to the girl I spoke to. Also according to her there was no backup on file despite my guy's having requested it on every occasion they called.

This is extortionate, and as collections agencies go MetCredit is sleazier than most it seems. I will certainly be recording all of my phone calls with them going forward and I suggest that others do the same to protect themselves.
