These guys are fantastic!

From the knowledgeable, friendly woman who answered my first phone call, right through to the brilliant technician who asked me to describe the recurring fault with my oven, knew instantly what the issue was, and cheerfully fixed it, the whole team was wonderful.

We are so pleased to have discovered Metropolitan Appliance Service visit regional areas and recommend them to everyone. Thank you!

Rude, misogynistic and dismissive. Technician described inappropriate things the owner of the business had said about 4 ovens exploding in my face. Possibly the WORST customer service and WORST company I've ever had to deal with. One star is too generous.

The service from this company has been absolutely abysmal. They have come out to my house the fix my oven 5 times now. My oven kept shorting out and on the first visit the technician told me it wasn't the oven but a faulty RCD in the fusebox outside. This is a new property only a few years old so I had my doubts but I still called an electrician who advised me everything was fine.

The second visit technician came out again, inspected the oven and said they would need to replace the main electrical board on the oven and they would have to order it in.

The third visit the electrician tried to replace the faulty board in the oven but it didn't work. Apparently the new board could be faulty. So they took the oven back to the workshop to work on it and repair it.

Fourth visit they came and put the oven back in place and it should have been all good. However they didn't screw the oven into place so when you open the oven door it could slide out, the front glass panel is loose and the oven programmes are all incorrect.

Today for the fifth time the technician came and said he can't do anything about the programming on the board and just left.

What a waste of time!

Metro attended next day after lodging warranty claim and they passed on info quickly to Product Care. 4 days to process a replacement fridge under warranty is a very good turnaround!

Rang through phone answered in a rush and please hold ... Held for 3 mins ., hung up same thing... Couldn't even get a word in., held for 3.5 mins got this person who clearly has no idea on how to deal with customers., I told her I was looking for a seal she asked the model number and my phone number only when I asked why she needed my number did she say she would get spares to ring me ., I asked approx how long she replied no idea., I asked if it was likely to be today she said yes., disgusting service my first experience with this company let's see how the rest of my enquirer goes.

While on hold listened to a whole lot of rubbishy about customer service.

This is how the conversation should have gone:

Expresses appliances good morning we r really busy at the moment would you mind if I placed you on hold?
Hi how can I help you?
I need a new seal.,
Okay so what I do is: take your name number and the model number., and I forward that to our spares department., they should get back to you by close of business today (or whatever) is that okay?

I wonder if anyone bothers to read and action these comments I see I'm not the only dissatisfied customer and I've only dealt with the person answering the phone.... The first impression and face of the company!

I had my Omega oven fixed by the technician, Danny. He arrived within 2 hours as mentioned in his text message. Had a look at the oven, rectified the problems, fixed it and it's done. Very happy with the service, professional and knowledgeable. He certainly know his work. Thank you.

Listened to our situation, made an appointment for a call out. All pricings were discuseed on the phone so knew up front the costs involved. Received sms evening before with time & arrived promptly. Diagnosed the problem quickly & had the parts to fix the dishwasher. Friendly & courteous servive all the way.

I had a 3 year old appliance that had stopped work...

I had a 3 year old appliance that had stopped working, so I called Metropolitan to take a look. They visited, made me sign something agreeing to their callout fees, diagnosed the problem, issued an invoice and left. They then told me that they could not source the part (hard to believe for such a new appliance from a well known brand) but insisted I pay the invoice. I wonder whether this is a standard high margin business practice for this company....

Dreadful unhelpful and rude receptionist. Couldnt & wouldnt give any advice on weather to repair or replace a dishwasher without service call. Would not put me through to anyone else for advice. Guestimate required on new pump; advised that could not provide without model no. Im 50ks away from dishwasher. Found out only 3 pumps to choose from and all around $80. Made my decision to repair easily based on that. Only wanted ballpark figure. Obviously not fussed about customers or jobs. Found perth appliances awesome, friendly and so much cheaper.

My LG roboking was repaired promptly and the counter service provided by Anthony was friendly, courteous and professional. The repair charge was reasonable as I had been quoted an astronomical amount by another company that didn't know much about LG robot cleaners. Will definitely return if need arises.

Had a guy come and check my washing machine for repairs. He said the office would call me back to arrange the repair. A week later we still hadn't heard from them, so I called them. Lady on the phone very short and rude. She said they are meant to email me a quote and they'll get to it today. She wouldn't give me any idea of when it will be fixed. Very poor service! I'm hand washing 2 loads a day and have a severely disabled son.

I purchased a dishwasher along with 3 years productcare. The productcare has been amazing but the repairer they use for Perth are these guys. Its been 6 weeks now.
First they mess me around to come out in the first place, then I'm told its a simple part and he'll be back in about a week to fix. Nothing heard after a couple of weeks, Finally they turn up and tell me it needs taking away!?
So they take it and, I'm told it should be next day or within a couple of days. Week later I'm told they're still waiting on the part they'd told me they already had???

I called product care who sent me a brand new dishwasher. I hope to god they stop using this sorry excuse for a company.

They lie and are not capable of handling the repairs or service they are meant to do.

Stay away at all costs of you are able to.

Well and truly don't stick to their word. Appointments consistently changing, due to so much miscommunication between team members. I really don't like having to put up negative feedback, but I was shocked that a business could run so poorly.

This company are rip-off merchants who attend and don't even look at what issue you have, attending person did not even open the oven, just took a image of the compliance plate, which he lost later, then left, not even 5 minutes on site, then they demand $150 attendance fee. Do not trust this company and their practices.

I want to say a huge thank you to Metro Appliance Service and SMEG for providing the most incredible customer service I ve ever experienced.

Using our 2 month old SMEG over Easter weekend I placed aluminium foil on the cavity floor to prevent too much mess when baking pizza. I never realised at the time the damage this would cause to an oven due to the build of heat. The next day to my horror I saw hairline cracks and chips along the enamel coating. I contacted Winning Appliances where I purchased the appliance to let them know what had happened. They put me in touch with Metro Appliance Service as the SMEG service agent. I spoke with Geoff who understood how anxious I was to discover how much this would cost me to repair if at all possible. He asked me to give him a couple of days so he could speak with SMEG. The following day I received a call back from Geoff. I was completely blown away to discover that between Geoff and SMEG they had decided to swap my existing unit with a completely new one.

I will be forever grateful to SMEG and Metro Appliance Services for this outcome as they had no obligation to do this. You set high standards lots of other companies could learn from. That s how you create loyalty.

Read my experience before booking in a technician from this company:

Requested a quote for repairing a split air conditioner which was displaying an error code. Very prompt reply and someone called me back within minutes on Sunday evening stating that they charge $141,90 for a technician to come out and give us a firm quote to know exactly how much it would cost to fix it. Multiple reassurances that we'll get a firm quote, nothing more to pay. Very prompt request for the credit card details so they can withdraw the fee before we book the technician.
Accepted and payed the fee. Technician comes in and request another $699 just to DIAGNOSE the problem(???). Not to fix it but to diagnose the problem, verbal quote, not even a written one. Requested a written quote by email. Still haven't recieved one and I haven't even received a tax receipt for the $141.90 I've paid.
Just to top it up, here is the message we received from the technician after we questioned why we payed $141.90:

Hi Alina, did you speak to the office regarding the invoice? The call out is just to get us out to site. then the $699 is to find the problem and once we no what the problem is then we quote you for that and if you accept then we waive the original $699. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

My Smeg Rangehood was cutting out during operation...

My Smeg Rangehood was cutting out during operation. MAS where great at getting the part quickly and turning up on time and also informing me the day before that they would be out at that time, trade also rung me on the day 30 mins before arrival so I could meet him at my house.

For Smeg repairs, I could recommend a better place, thanks MAS.
