Gary, Sal and the entire staff at Metric are considerate, knowledgeable and dependable. We can rely on them to respond to our plumbing and heating needs, regardless of the day or hour. Example: The boiler in our rental property failed in the middle of the pandemic, and Gary, Sal and their crew were able to replace it within a few days, even though it was a very complicated job, involving the chimney liner being replaced and all that goes with a steam heating system in a 100+ year old house. This is why we think they are the best, because over the course of 28 years they have stepped up for many a crisis like this most recent one, as well as ordinary plumbing needs.

We have used Metric Plumbing for the past 5 years. The service is excellent. They are helpful. We have dealt with Gary, Gary Jr. and recently Allen came to service our boiler.

Metric plumbing and HVAC are great company! My family from growing up has relied on them since they moved to Cedar Grove in 1984 & I will continue to devote all of my plumbing and hvac needs onto them. My AC was never wired correctly and their on call staff Allen was able to come over on a Sunday morning to sort out the issues. Gary Sr. runs an outstanding company and I m sure my friend Gary Jr. will follow in his fathers footsteps, starting out as a great manager. Metric services all areas of NJ. My wife and I will continuously give them our support and business as they get the job done right! Thank you!

We have used Metric several times over the past 13+ years and we have always found their crews to be friendly, respectful and honest. Most of the time we need them when we're in jam vs something planned and they have always showed up the same day. One time was 2 days before Thanksgiving when the water heater from the previous home owner died. They showed up and were able to get us a new one and switch it from electric to gas all before the out-of-town guesses showed up. Unfortunately the water heater died again on a Sunday several years later, but they came, helped shut it down so we were safe with the water running all over the place and were there first thing Monday morning to replace it.They are our go to plumbers.

I called Metric plumbing in the middle of the summer when my outside AC unit went. Gary was able to get his team over to the house with a brand new unit the very next day.. the job was finished by the afternoon and the temperature in my house was back to normal.. they were very professional, inspected their work, and made us feel like we got great service.. we will definitely use them again for any plumbing or ac issues

They've helped us for many years. They came to our house on the SAME day I called with a heating emergency. Allen has been here a number of times. He's always spot on with his work.

Allen Strauss from Metric Plumbing came to our home, diagnosed the problem when others couldn't and explained to us in clear and simple terms what the issue was and what needed to be done to fix it. We scheduled a follow-up to deal with the underlying issues and they just did a great job. Kudos to Allen & all the folks at Metric!

Young guy here this morning to finish sink install. Condescending and says he can't find everything he needs - seems disgusted at the job and keeps saying "wow" under his breath like he can't believe what a mess he has to deal with. All this after their head guy looked everything over himself a week or so ago and said it was fine - no making a list of things I should get for the installer beforehand, so now I have to deal with this crummy attitude.

First group of guys left my place a mess. Original quote was around $900 for lots of work. After adding the faucet install to the list, $1000 payment is considered 1/2 down. Half?! Installing a pre-purchased faucet and disposal (plug-in type w/ all electric already done) is over $1000?

They have two guys who know what they're doing service and attitude-wise, other than those two, it's a crap shoot for who will show up at your door.

Wishing I could undo everything and get my money and time back so I could go with my old plumber. Friend suggested I use Metric. Bum advice.

Needed warranty work on a AOSmith water heater. All work completed in 3 days from evaluating to ordering part to final install. Allen was most professional and explained the problem and steps in solving and correcting. Would not hesitate to use Metric for any plumbing problems and needs.

Outrageous...service guy spent 3 1/2 hours diagnosing and talking to manufacture of tankless water heater. Had no idea what he was doing and charged almost $400 for a diagnosis. Then wanted to do another rip off for a new heater when it was unnecessary as the original had a partial warranty.

Metric is very reliable and professional. They came out quickly for an emergency hot water heater issue. Allen, the technician was very helpful

We were new to the area and found Metric based on their great reviews. They showed up quickly and on time to check our home, and got a quote to us ASAP. When I called to ask a couple of questions and schedule the work, each person I talked to was fantastic. John showed up to do the work and was really friendly, professional, and thorough. I ve had 3 plumbing situations occur in the past few months, (well 1 plumbing and 2 AC) and Metric was great for both. The office was super professional and organized, they fit me in conveniently and the workers showed up right on time.

We had a complicated and costly issue several months ago, and Gary was a pleasure to work with and Allen Strauss did a beautiful job!

I have been calling on Allen Strauss of Metric Plumbing several times in the past. He always came through promptly (even late Fridays and evenings) and did a thorough job. All of his repairs have been working flawlessly ever since.

I can't say enough about Angelo from Metric. He came within one hour of calling as we had found a small leak in a pipe that clearly had been going on for quite some time. He was efficient, friendly, neat and gave great advice on how to remedy the problem. Angelo also identified a larger pipe that was original to the house (from the 1950's) that clearly needed repair. He assisted in setting up an appointment for the following day to replace the larger, second pipe that needed to be replaced. Both he and another Metric plumber, Mike, showed up on time the following day and did the same quality work in my home. Their pricing was fair and the quality of their work was excellent! I highly recommend Metric Plumbing!

I admire how much they donate to the local community and sports programs in the town.

Special thanks to allen Strauss. He saved our weekend. Our ac quit on us late friday afternoon. He came on short notice. He was courteous and professional. Diagnosed and fixed the problem wihin an hour. Good price too. Kudos to Allen.

We have used Metric Plumbing and Heating for years. Excellent service. When ever we have an emergencey , Metric has sent out help ASAP. Gary Jr. is always there when we have needed him. Professional . Allen was just here to fix our water heater. Fast service, professional. and affordable .

Alan Strauss and his company think everything through very carefully. And they took the time to explain to me what's really going on in the machinery. (Which is hard for a non-plumber like me to understand.) They'll do a process of elimination to find the problem and fix it. The prices are comparable. And even after the job is done, they follow up to confirm its working well.

I've worked with Mr. Strauss for many years, and can point to many successful, innovative projects he's done around my house. After a rain-storm caused flooding in a power outage, he installed a sump pump that's water-powered, believe it or not.

Great service and company! Alan Strauss solved our AC issue and serviced it right away so we could stay cool. Highly recommended!

We were having problems getting hot water quickly in the shower. It would take over 5 minutes before the water turned hot. We called Metric based on my daughters recommendation. Gary Jr. came and found a couple of things wrong and fixed them on the spot. Made adjustments to mixing valve and wanted to see in the AM if it got better . It didn t so Angelo came out next day, change cartridge and re adjusted valve which was not set up properly by contractors plumber. We now have instant hot water. Can t thank Metric enough. They are now are plumbers

Not recommended at all. not professional. They got the order wrong, sent out someone to work on a boiler instead of a HVAC. they refused to take responsibility for this error. the worker who was sent out said he knew nothing about HVACs but then sat in his truck and claimed his manager was walking him through the issue meanwhile killing time so he could be paid for the service call. A total rip off.
