I was excited to see Jimmy John's when visiting Denver. I currently live in San Diego and had not seen a Jimmy John since my Virginia days. The first thing I noticed was that the place smelled odd. The second thing I noticed was that the workers were rude and didn't acknowledge my thank you's or anything. They were quite playful with one another, but seemed to wish I wasn't there. I neither received a napkin nor did I see one. The sandwich was okay but definitely not the same quality that I remembered from the old days. All you the tables were dirty, even though there were at least 4 employees working on a very slow night. The place not seemed dirty and the employees seemed to care.

What's with these hours?? Closed after 6 on weekdays and all weekend? That seems insane to me, and since it's the closest JJ's to me their app forces me to order from there, and I can't get it from a nearby store that's actually open. I guess what I'm saying is that my life would be a lot better if this store specifically did not exist.

Good food, horrible service, these people hate their jobs. I'd suggest going to Which Wich my the Convention Center. If you like loud yelling employees while you eat you'll love this place.

I ordered online for delivery and the delivery person was here in about 6 min. He forgot my drink and said he would be right back with it he had to go back to the store.. I didnt think he would come back but HE DID!!! so impressed with the customer service from this location! my order was also 100% correct.

I work across the street and order from here often - my go to is an un-which sandwich that lately hasn't been great as the veggies have been SUPER soft and soggy...like they aren't cut fresh and are kept in a bucket too long. Sadly won't be ordering from here anymore as it's not worth the price for lack of quality.

Convenient location right in the heart of downtown. Fast carry out service as well.

Sandwich was mediocre for $7. Music waaaaay too loud, on top of staff, customer, and delivery driver chatter. Not a relaxing space to sit and eat your food. Better to pick up and go

Cashier was very rude. Even though my son and I were going to eat there they would not allow me to use the restroom. I have medical issues and they had no sympathy just demanded that I buy something first. This is a horrible business practice. This is another of many reasons why I don't usually eat at Jimmy John's.

Edit: I was contacted by Jimmy John s regarding my below experience and received a free meal as an apology. However, I still recommend ORDERING FROM THE JIMMY JOHNS ON 16th AND STOUT if given the choice between the two!

There are two Jimmy John's on 16th street mall. I accidentally ordered my sandwich here instead of on Stout so I had to walk to the one on Broadway. Not only did they act like I didn't know what I was talking about when I said I had a pick up order, but my Pepe, which is supposed to be ham and provolone, was provolone, salami, and prosciutto? I called to complain, was just told by the associate that he would let the guys know they made a mistake, didn't offer to remake it or offer a refund. Ended up handing the sandwich off to a co-worker, otherwise I would have thrown it away. Don't bother going here.

Don't up-sell all the extras on the sandwich, charge the customer, just to leave all the extras off. Especially when handing said customer the sandwich, and reminding them of all the extras you DIDN"T put on there. Go half a block down the street to Pot Belly, they never mess-up and the price is the exact same.

Closed on weekends? Why can't I get delivery from a different jimmy John's. This location is the worst

I used to order from here a lot for delivery to my office. They were fast, the food was good - over all a four or five star experience each time. I am giving them one star however because their new hours are absolutely ridiculous. Closed on weekends and only open until 6pm!??! WTF. What a joke. Might as well close the place down. Really turned me off of Jimmy John's.

Food was good as expected, but the service was terrible. The cashier hardly said anything, no greeting and everyone looked liked they hated their job. I'd not return strictly due to the service. The owner really should do something about it.

These people here are a bunch of morons !! Took my order and then had the nerve to call back and tell me 10 mins later oh by the way we don't deliver to your area I goggled jimmy johns near me and both location here and on Colfax claims they don't deliver when they have before this place sucks and so do there sandwich's too !!

I ordered a #12. And a guy on a bike delivered it. To a nursing home where I was working for the day Unfortunately the sandwich was. Given to a patient with my same name.
They delivered another one to me.
About 30 min later. With chips and a cookie.

Visited two separate Jimmy Johns while in town and both had lousy sandwiches. Its a large sub roll with 2 pieces of meat and cheese and they are even stingy on vegetables. I am done with Jimmy Johns and will stick to Jersey Mikes. This place is a poor mans Subway.

Standard jimmy Johns, but located in a convenient and central location on 16th Street Mall. This is the perfect lunch spot for the 9-5 business crowd. They also deliver fast!

I ordered my sandwich with light mayo, light lettuce and no tomato. I cam with heavy lettuce and mayo, and also came with tomato on it. It also took 50 minutes to have it delivered and my office is one block away. There is no reason it should have taken that long, and if they are not going to read the instructions maybe they need to get people in there that can.

The manager was the rudest and most unprofessional I've ever seen a person behave in a place of business! I wish I had his name. I will never give this place business ever again!! Besides there sandwiches taste like they were peeled off of a subway station floor! I would certainly choose a different location!

I have never been disappointed by this place. The food is always good and is by far my favorite 0lace to get a sub. Everything is made with the most quality ingredients. It is worth everybodies time to come to Jimmy John's and get a sandwich.

Good restaurant... terrible hours... always closed when I want it. Closed on weekends and closed weekdays at 6:00pm... ridiculous

I order from this store often. They make my favorite #12 Beach Club perfectly every time and the staff is incredibly friendly. Delivery is always fast with care. This is a hopping store and I recommend ordering online. Nice job team!

Jimmy johns is okay. Firehouse sub's suck though. But subway is the mother of them both, the ultimate OG, the one that always has your back, the one you can tell your secrets to, knowing they'll still love you the next day you return.

So, if you are going to offer a "customize" option on your online order site...customize the damn things. I ordered 2 kinds of mustard, got NO mustard. I paid for cheese, got NO cheese. I paid to add roast beef, got NO roast beef. But they sure got the "light" on the other meats right. Sandwich looked like a small breakfast burritto, not a sub. They didnt even get the regular sub right that we didnt customize. My boyfriends ordered a sub that came with bacon, he got NO bacon. So, i called and got the manager. He said that he would re-make the sandwiches himself. Cool! Right? Still no cheese or either of the mustards ordered. AND, he wanted the first sandwiches back!! So, what, he could make sure we werent lying? We were at the downtown Marriott. We didnt need to lie for free subs. You'd think the inconvenience of the wait alone, he would have been proffessional enough not to ask for them back. Tacky. The 1 is, one, you can't give less, and two, the delivery kid had a great personality. Thanks at least for that. First time customers. Never again!

They never clean under the cold tables.

I typically like Jimmy John's and grab a sandwich from their frequently. Though, this past week I got food poisoning from the Lulu. It made for the worst 10 hours of my life. I'll probably get the courage to eat Jimmy John's again but not from this location, ever.

So I ordered a Spicy Italian and I got......... meat and cheese...... no peppers, no lettuce, no mayo.... just meat cheese and bread.. Thank you for your appreciation of my business Jimmy Johns. I won't call and order here anymore. Sorry to burden your staff 30 minutes before you close.

they can be freaky fast but not 100% of the time. friendly service though! would give it more stars if they didn't mess up my order every time i go there..

Jimmy Johns is the bomb! Their sandwiches are great and so is their delivery / service. I eat here probably 3 times a week, but I've never actually been to the store. Love JJ's!

It's Jimmy Johns...if you want a really good sub skip JJ, subway, and the like and go to Erberts and Gerberts or Potbelly. Sure his place get the job done in a pinch, but it's jimmy johns.

Loved my fave unwich as usual but I was not impressed with the employees. I realized I walked into the middle of some sort of taste test by the looks of it, and the looks were guilty. I walked up to the counter to order and the young man stared at me as though he had no idea why I was there. I gave my order and thought no problem. I stood to one side while my sandwich was being prepared. The employees continued their dessert taste test and stared at me as though I shouldn't be there. Completely unfriendly! Why open the store if that is the attitude? I finally noticed what looked like my sandwich sitting to one side, right in front of an employee who was rating his dessert. I remembered the young man who took my order did not ask for my name so I stepped up and asked is this my sandwich? Uh yeah, really, unbelievable. While on the mall bus a short time later I saw another Jimmy John's and wished I had gone to that one. Sad.

Their sandwiches are pretty good and cheap, but there isn't as much variety as there is at other sandwich shops. This location is constantly busy as it's on the mall downtown.

This place closes at dinner time? Straight retarded.

Whoever was cleaning and closing on January 20th, 2016 was extremely rude and answered the phone as if I was bothering him after just closing. I will never be back. Disgusting if you think I want to spend money here with someone who acts like the customer is a problem.

Still same great sandwiches but this one isn't nearly as fast as some of the others out there

They wont deliver .8 miles aways? Even though ive seen multiple other employees get delivery from jimmy before. Just lost a whole lot of business, stingy cheepskates...

People who complain about their hours obviously don't work downtown enough to know that most sandwich places don't stay open after 3pm. I think it's messed up some of the reviewers below have never been to this location, but give it 1 star based on the hours which are most likely mandated by the owners? Maybe consider people work here who don't deserve your 1 star? Anyway, I love this location and have never had a problem. The people who work here are friendly and fast and that is what I expect from a downtown sandwich shop. Thank you guys for all you do!
