I've gone here for decades and Everytime we go we always find something new. The number of animals is very impressive. I've gone to zoo's all over. Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and NY may have 2 exotic animals and 3 normal animals, but Mesker park has a high consentration of animals and dozens of exotic animals. All in walking distance. In my opinion I'd rather see hundreds in a brief walk, than see 12 in a 2 hour walk. It isn't free though, but you are paying for more

Membership is VERY affordable and can be used at different zoos and aquariums around the USA. Nice variety of animals and things for the kids to do. Great for spending a day or 45 minutes depending on what kind of time you have available. Plenty to do even during the winter months.

Great place to take the family or even solo. Lots of things to see and an excellent workout walking the roads and hills. Only 70 bucks for a year long season pass for your family. Can't best that!

Loved all of the animals! The zoo was clean and kid friendly. Many activities for kids. Hills were really steep. But we took the tram when we went with my mammaw. Had to wait forever to get on the tram and when we did there was barely enough seats.

I was very surprised at how many animals are in this zoo, the kiddos loved it! With COVID they have you walk a one way loop around the park, but if you're there to see everything like us we didn't mind one bit. We even got to see the zoo keeper feed the kamodo dragon, and he came out and talked with our kids. Overall a very good experience!

Paid for 4 adults and 1 child. 80% of the animals aren't out to see. Pretty disappointed they should tell people this before they spend their money. Concessions are very expensive. We will go out of town the next time.

Love this zoo lots of great things to see and do. I really wanted to see the otters tho not even a sign to say what happened to them!!! They may need another trolly as everytime we saw it it was full. Maybe could use more signage to let ppl know where things are.

My experience at this zoo was very unpleasant. The giraffes and zebras were placed in a small enclosure with gravel. Not even a single patch of grass. Most enclosures for the larger animals were way too small. There were workers that were not friendly, acted like they didn t want to be there, and were annoyed to answer questions. The enclosures for the smaller animals were nice and well thought out, but that wasn t the case for almost all of the larger animals. Overall, I would not recommend this zoo and I will not be returning.

Great place to go to get out of the house. Took us (a group of 3-2 adults and 1 Toddler) roughly 2 hours to get through the parts of the zoo offered-there is limited exhibits/animals due to COVID but enough open to enjoy some of the main parts. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful the entire time. Everyone wore masks and practiced extra cleanliness practice. Unfortunately they didn't have the Merry Go Round open or offer the Tram (we needed the extra exercise anyway lol). Overall happy with my experience here and will be going back.

Make sure to get your tickets ahead of time due to COVID and review their site for any additional information or changes prior to your visit!

Being from Evansville, I have always driven by Mesker Park Zoo, but I somehow have never went inside. A boss of mine suggested getting the family membership so I could go to the zoo with my daughter anytime, and this ended up being one of the best purchases I have ever made. The zoo is amazing. One of our favorite parts is Amazonia, and this is an easy place to visit during the winter because it is right by the entrance and it is nice and warm. I highly suggest becoming a member and going to this amazing Evansville staple. I wish I would have sooner.

The kids had a good place to run, however, for what they had to offer the price wasn t all that great. The food was way overpriced. $3.50 for a glass or can of coke is overpriced. They had no elephants and if you missed feeding time within minutes you didn t get to feed the animals which children love to do. The staff was friendly but it is more of a place to see birds than animals. I live almost as close to Louisville and Nashville as I do to Evansville and would choose to drive a little farther for the bigger zoo and more animals. They didn t have a lot to offer as far as a zoo is concerned

Of course this zoo isn't as big as Louisville or St.Louis or Indianapolis, but it's great for a day trip. For those in wheelchairs or those with physical disabilities, this zoo may be hard to access due to the hills, but it is great exercise!

We have been members of the zoo since I was a child, at least 15 years. I've loved seeing the many wonderful changes that they have made and how they continue to grow. While I understand that the zoo industry is still working to make up for its mistakes, I would love to see further emphasis placed on improving existing exhibits as opposed to bringing in *new* exhibits. We still appreciate Mesker and love bringing my family to make memories there as they grow up, just like my siblings and I did.

We had a great time. We arrived at our 9:30 time slot and were finished with the whole zoo by 1:15. We aren't people who rush through either. We like to stop and observe animals. There were several animals not on exhibit either due to weather or covid concerns. Our kids had fun and it was a fun experience. Not having wheelchairs or the tram was a bit if an issue for our family. Our son is in a walking boot from a broken leg and our daughter has special needs. All in all, it was a good experience.

My child loved it. Food at the cafe is super jacked up expensive, (2.50$ for a corn dog? Geeze)other than that the displays were awesome. The poor tiger looks like he's starving but the park was clean and the kids had fun.

It s over priced for what they have. the exhibits and animals do not seem to be well taken care of.

Their camp is a waste of the money. They have 2 young adults for each group, then have younger teens help. It s glorified babysitting at the zoo, with less individual attention

Great place to spend the afternoon with the family. Zoo is constantly being updated so never know what new things you may come across. There is food and drinks available plenty of vending machines and places to sit and take a break. They even have cotton candy machines. It is one of the oldest and largest zoo's in Indiana.

This zoo isn't too bad for a quick day trip. It's not a big zoo but it's perfect for a afternoon walk. It has really hilly terrain so you will want to wear comfortable supportive footwear. But for those who dont want to walk or get tired of walking up and down the hills, there is a shuttle that can pick you up. During the summer they have water fountains for the kids to play in and you can also rent wagons if you forget yours or dont own one.

Not as elaborate as other big city zoos, but still a good place to go. Our kids love it and it s not overly expensive. They ve made several improvements in recent years and continue to do so.

so we decided to road trip up to Evansville, Indiana while we lived in the Nashville area. This was not a very large, nor expensive zoo.over the animals, love the exercise walking around the complex where you don't even realize you are even exercising because of the enjoyment.until Fit bit texts you CONGRATS you just walked 5 miles. Best way to exercise, oblivious to It!!! I love the flowers too, there is always GORGEOUS flowers and fauna everywhere..

It s a nice zoo, but the employees are not very nice!
I bought giraffe pellets at the containers and waited on a group of kids to quit feeding the giraffes leaves, I walked up going to get a picture with my kids and feed them their food an employee yelled extremely rude at me from another pen to quit feeding the giraffes !!
If you have food to purchase for them, don t yell at me!! Rude rude rude!!
