Best selection of professional grade garden supplies around!

Excellent for all sorts of plants, shrubs, trees, garden decor. Very knowledgeable staff. There's a very helpful plant clinic where one can show them a photo of an ailing plant, or bring a leaf or twig, and they'll diagnose the problem and give solutions.

Great selection and excellent staff. Got great advice on my basil plants gnat problem.

One of the best sources for indoor plants in the DMV. They ve got a substantial selection ranging from common plants to fairly rare gems. The prices may be a bit higher than some competitors, but the plants are clearly well maintained and are gorgeous as a result.

They also have tons of options when it comes to tools and supplies which is great - typically if you find a shop with great plants, their tools and supplies section is lacking and vice versa.

Haven't found a garden center with a more extensive selection or a more knowledgeable staff in the area.

I absolutely love this nursery. They have a huge selection and excellent customer service. They hire knowledgeable and helpful staff that come around to ask if you need help and give advice based on your landscape and how much light you have. High quality plants, products, facility, and people. I couldn t recommend them more highly, even just for indoor plant people like me.

It's easy to get in the mood for Christmas at Merrifield!

What is the point of curbside pickup when none of the nursery's stock is online? I have no idea how I'm supposed to know what I want to order when there's no way to tell what they have. It's 2020, folks, let's please get a proper website up!

I only buy seeds here but they have lots of other plants and things to offer. It's so pretty and I love just walking through it, the Koi fish are so cute too!

I was honestly blown away by this store. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. There's an extremely wide variety of plants and gardening equipment. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or expert.

Great experience at Merrifield Garden Center. Tony Medina was very helpful. He took his time and give me detailed information about specific boxwood Green Beauty. He explained they come in different sizes and heights. I requested minimum 24" height and he told me right away I need to get 24"-30" because they need to be trimmed to get round shape and I get 24" minimum I request. He also took his time explain how to take care of the the plant. and All this service was free. I was really surprised. Thank you Tony for making everything smooth for me. I will be back.

Great selections of flowers, herbs, veggies, trees, or any kinds of plants you can think of. If you're looking to spruce up your garden in the spring, definitely come here to check it out rather than going to Lowes or Home Depot. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable too! Don't be afraid to ask. It's a great place for people like me who has just started growing things in the backyard but knows absolutely nothing about planting.

I appreciate this place not only because they always have what I need for my garden but also for their awesome knowledgeble personal, they are always ready to pass on their knowledge to help you on any need or question you might have.

On the expensive side but they have everything and they are super knowledgeable. Go during the week to avoid the crowds on weekends.

Great selection. A little challenging to get some hep.

I purchased over 4000 dollars worth of products/services this time last year and the first problem that I experienced was different dialots of sod ... some of the sod was old a dying. I called and they had to pull it up/replace it. In addition, they charged me for soil that was supposed to go under the sod. I pulled up the corners of the sod only to find that they never put the top soil down and I believe it was approximately 600 dollars. They had to issue a refund but if I had not caught this, I would have been charged for something I did not get. The manager was rude and was treating me as if I made it up until I emailed the pictures over. I called today for Black bulk mulch and they said that they would not be able to come out if it was under 375 dollars. I need 152 square feet... Keep in mind that I m a returning customer who spent a decent amount of money only to get poor service and dying sod from different diolots... I have all pictures on file and video surveillance signs in addition to video footage of the install. Good luck to all if you go with them!!!

Love merrifield garden center! Just wish I could afford it. Overpriced at occasionally plant that I buy there, die. I'm a Master Gardener so I'm at a loss.

The Christmas displays sparkle, the staff is helpful in a relaxed atmosphere. The visit with Santa Claus was personal, engaged and captured the spirit of Christmas...a cherished memory for families to hold dear for years to come.

Love this place! I only have a sunroom, so get creative on potted plants & terrariums...whatever you want to try, they've got it. Lots of workers wandering around who can answer all your questions. A little pricey, but my plants never die that I buy from here.

They have an amazing variety of plants. All of the plants are well cared for. In fact while I was shopping, two people were walking around the perennials dead heading, while helping customers. Extremely knowledgeable staff. They are a bit more expensive than a chain home improvement store, but the variety, quality, and helpful people are with that extra money. I found superb perennials for my pollinator garden. I was looking for smaller varieties, and they had the ones that would work for me.

The most variety around The Northern VA. Super friendly & knowledgeble sale-staff; most plants are rather healthy, but they seriously overprice. For example, 3 feet tall Filbert Hazelnut tree, sells here for $99.99, online I've found same 5-foot tree for $29.99 with guaranteed 3 months refund if it does not grow. Go to see what you need & how it should look, but pay less elsewhere.

I really like this place around the holiday. They weren't as helpful today, but I did get the help to identify outdoor, all year plants

Always a staggering selection, helpful staff, and efficient checkout. At least, if you're not a sophisticated gardener. More knowledgeable people may feel differently.

This isn't just a flower shop, this is "Heaven with staff." Words can't do them justice. If you haven't seen their Christmas season, you are missing a visual treat that will leave you in awe. All three locations in the area fit this same review description. Just go whether you need flowers or not!

I had a great experience with these guys today! I went in looking for succulents and cacti for a naturalistic desert terrarium, with some plants and requirements in mind, and they were able to recommend plants that can live well together that met my needs. They also had great advice on an organic soil mixed for cacti and how to plant and care for the ones I chose. Very helpful staff and a lovely setup, with a huge variety of plants to choose from.

This place is slightly far but its a place to find a particular local flower. Have the only good clematis vine selection.Healthy and a great variety of plants. I go there every spring now.

My wife love it and the sister establishment further out Rt.29 towards Centreville. Always can find something unique to purchase, even today! Will be back soon!!!

Amazing for all trees. I heard and never went for years due to the distance. Finally decided to go for a nectarine tree. I had the best assistance from all the staff. Everyone just wanted to help me and help me determine the best tree for me. They have all types of plants. I also got pumpkins and all my fall needs for my home. If you live in arlington you can average ~200 dollars minimum for them to deliver your tree.

We love this place. This could easily be a 5 star but the prices are pretty high. So we limit our trips. The quality of the products are great and if you have a problem thru well take care of it for you. Truely a special place at Christmas.

This place is so beautiful, it s basically a botanical gardens where you can take the plants home if you wish! Unparalleled selection of flowers, ground cover, herbs, bushes, trees and everything in between. There s a huge outdoor section as well as a hot house (tropical plants, dessert plants...) and a wide selection of seeds and gardening tools inside.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. We ve gone multiple times to their plant doctor to diagnose plants we have that are not doing so well, and they always have practical tips for taking care of them.

Only knocked a star off because this is not necessarily the cheapest place to get plants or plant supplies. They have high quality stuff, so if you can t find it anywhere else, it s worth the money. I wouldn t recommend getting something you could purchase at a hardware store here (mulch, gardening tools, common herbs or flowers) as you will often pay twice as much for them.

I have had the pleasure of shopping at this store in their Gallows Rd location in the Falls Church area. Their staff went over the top to help me with my friend who is in a wheelchair. We spent over 2 hours browsing and buying to help us celebrate the Christmas season. From plants to ribbons, Complimentary popcorn, and hot coffee; we were surrounded by positive, helpful, friendly staff ! A shout out to their cashiers who held onto a large bag of products at their register after I had to leave suddenly because I had to get my friend home and had to leave quickly because of her illness. These young ladies held onto my purchase, tagged it describing my sudden departure and as a result a call the following day was met with, " Oh Yes ! We have your package ! Come in anytime today and we will have it for you at the front register!!"
What a relief - over $150 carefully selected gifts and decorations were still mine !

Great experience! Personal Service blows Home Depot and Lowe s away. I needed to know what was the best grass seed to purchase for overseeding my yard and how much to buy. My yard is important to me. They helped me immediately. Very confident I bought the right product.

The plants are very healthy and the garden center provides more natural and diversified gardening supplies than I have seen elsewhere. Also, if one needs any assistance, the appropriate, knowledge advice will be readily given. Thank you for being such a reputable place to purchase.

This place sells a wide variety of plants, pretty much anything you want. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is an onsite advisor who is very knowledgeable and provided us with useful information. Price seems reasonable. They also provide plastic covers for your car to keep the dirt from spreading. Plenty of parking but can be busy and packed on weekends.
