Merit was great from the start. Their transition of service was executed flawlessly and as a result we didn t have a single dip in production. Best change we ever made and we re only two months in and we re already seeing significant throughput gains as well.

I have been employed by merit for almost 2 yrs. Without a doubt the worst organization in my 30 plus yrs in industry that I have seen. In short... Merit logistics does not pay hazard pay.. Worked 3 Mon in grocery packing house with trucks coming in from covid heavy states... First line of contact... No hazard pay. No considerations. Even the Kroger employees got hazard pay and the are insulated. No one but merit deals with the independent long line drivers coming from other states. The work load has increased by x3 last few months but no incentive. No bonus.. The guys at the top live large at merit employees expense. The company is a toilet. To be direct. OK. Choose wisely.
Very unprofessional. Hierarchy they expect is very old school. Some staff work very hard - others do bare minimum. Extremely low pay and expect u to take on more and more work without additional compensation. Small office with a great deal of drama and gossip.
Merit Logistics has very poor management. They don t put out permanent schedules and the head manager told my brother he couldn't show back up till he had a COVID test and when he received that test and sent it to his manager he never called back. My brother showed up three times to work and the manager was clearly there as he saw his car but the guy hid for over 30 mins so he didn't have to talk to him and when called he didn t answer his phone or text and same as the management under him. If you need a good job look else where as Merit Logistics is very unprofessional and poorly managed.
I would not recommend anybody to work here only pro is your coworkers. You can't leave till all trucks are done. If you have problems going on outside of work they will let you go for it. They can't hold anyone due to the hours: some days 12hr shifts next day 15 hour shifts. If you like not having a day off work for this company. If you need to call off because you don't have a ride, or personal problem be expected to bring a doctor's note everytime. Also working for this company they just throw you in the mix there is no training. You make 15 a hour and they try to tell you work hard so you can get a incentive but you gotta get out at a decent time like 6am 4 days of the week to get it. It's not possible on a 7 man crew.
DO NOT USE this company! They will take your money and never show up to do the job. The owner is an absolute moron and they are extremely incompetent except to rip you off!
We knew we needed to make a change in our unloading service and Merit really came through for us. The transition was well planned and well executed and we couldn t be happier. I would suggest calling them if you have a need
They re terrible people, I was given a message saying a time and date too start, which was a month out from when I was interviewed. I asked them two weeks later because the dates where inaccurate by what they had told me and they told me it was a typo and basically my fault for not realizing it was a mistake and it supposed to be a sooner date.
