I was in-house care for a week . The facilities and people within Hackensack Meridian Health Care Rehabilitation in Brick Twp NJ is phenomenal, HMHR is fully equipped to meet all your recovery needs I found the staff were very caring & friendly. , Lisa & Kelly are speech therapist who were very informative kind and helpful. The food was delicious , Each day the dietician would visit to explain the days menu. , if there was anything special I wanted she would arrange it. Day and evening nurses were very kindhearted. I had an arduous rehabilitation schedule. The HMHR staff made my time there special. The first person I met to help me at rehab was a very intelligent women, her name Mary, she was very good ,helped me to improve right away . Her focus was OT. The second OT therapist who helped me was named Michelle, Michelle was very friendly Michelle knew right away what to do, within the week I was improving. I was doing so well I was able to go outpatient status ahead of schedule. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable Tammy, Kelly, Regina, Kay, everyone within the health care center in Brick Twp. were very helpful. I may never see the staff again but I will never forget them and how they help me, I actually improved much faster then they thought I would. I would strongly recommend this facility.
My last day is October 14th.

I might just have to break a leg to go back to see them all again. HAHA...

A very happy patient

Unfortunately my mother was sent here after surgery. Truly the worst care I've seen. No one helps you after surgery. Your better of going home and have a loved one care after you. I get it it's busy. Still no reason not to give individual care with what they charge. Staying at a hotel and hiring help would be cheaper and better than this place. Shameless!!

After a short hospital stay, my Dad was ordered to rehab to build up his leg strength. This facility received a man who could walk under his own power (albeit slowly), and in 3 weeks turned him into a man who needs a walker to get around. I give them one star because the staff overall was very friendly and tried to be helpful. They just failed at doing what was needed to accomplish the mission.

They need better supervision. The nurses aids are not helpful for the most part.Aids, Nick ,George and Sandy are GREAT,they like there jobs are very attentive, know there job and very pleasant. Most of the aids are in the wrong job.Bad attitudes lack of compassion and attentiveness and job description.
The physical therapist and occupational therapist are very good! Most nurses are good.
The Aids are lacking in everything compassion understanding professionalism attentiveness.
Management is at fault for hiring these people, poor scrutiny and poor pay , might be the answer.
I have been here for 3 weeks with a hip replacement, my wife has been here for 4 months.I make my judgment call from a patient and from a visitor of a love one.
I m going to communicate my feelings to the Board of Hackensack Meridian Health.

My son was here for 3 months and everyone could not have been nicer. The nurses were wonderful, the aides were wonderful and the therapists were wonderful. Very clean and the food was outstanding. We could not have asked for anything more. I highly recommend Meridian at Wall.

This place is an absolute nightmare !!!!!!!! with an exception of a couple - there is zero focus, compassion, efficiency amongst the nursing and aide staff. It really is heartbreaking to watch a loved one being treated like they are not a real human being. My father was here after a serious stroke and I would have rather had him home with not a chance in the world than in the care of these people who are supposed to be professionals. One should always take pride in their jobs, especially those who are assistance to a sick person in their most vulnerable times of need. Such a shame.

My Mother has been in here for a week now and she absolutely loves it!!! The Nurses and Aids are caring and always go out of their way to ensure she"s happy. The food is delicious, rooms are beautiful, sunny and bright, they are not set up like the usual side by side beds so you have a lot of privacy, they even have refrigerators and microwaves.. The facility is immaculate!! This is strictly a rehab which gives it a much happier environment and helps when your recovering from an illness. Being in the healthcare business I personally have seen many over the years visiting my clients and I have to say this by far exceeds the others.

My 90 year old mother spent 2.5 weeks here after an emergency partial hip replacement, and I was very nervous about what to expect. Her insurance isn't the best out there. It was great! The food was very good, the facilities are very clean(bathroom was spotless, no odors). The therapists are top notch caring and thoughtful people(Chuck was great). I can't say enough wonderful things about this location. DO NOT hesitate to send a loved one there, no worries.* Remember- attitude has a lot to do with how good it goes! I was able to sleep at night knowing my mom was being well taken care of.

I would give this place no stars. My mother has been through hell since August, when she was finally moved to rehab we all thought the light of a long tunnel is over. Welp, we were so wrong, she was transferred here from the hospital after being in there for 2 months. The staff is extremely careless with her belongings, they lost everything after my mother had to go back to the hospital due to their negligence. Claimed they never received anything until we mentioned cops, suddenly they had her purse and family pictures, still missing her bag of clothes though. Secondly, she has a catheter placed for the last 2 months, never had an infection until she was moved here which caused her to go back to the hospital. Lastly, it took us to call them TEN times to inform them that her phone needed to be charged. Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I personally stayed here in April 2018 for 11 days and Yes, I would recommend this facility. I am a 51 year old female who was recovering from a 2 1/2 week hospital stay in cardiac ICU. I needed mainly physical therapy to regain leg strength so I could walk again and a little O/T for my arms. The therapists were great and I received 1-hour of P/T and 1-hour O/T 6 days a week. The food was good and the nurses were attentive. Rooms and bathroom were cleaned daily. I entered there in a wheelchair and left there using a walker to get around by myself and a week later walking steadily on my own. They did what they needed to do and I was content while I was there... I saw many people there recovering from hip and knee replacement surgery. Keep in mind I am younger than most of the people I witnessed there at the time of my stay and I had no issues being verbal and speaking up for myself... other elderly guests may not be like me... Please remember... family members Always need to be present often if not daily when a family member can not speak up for themselves at ANY rehab center they may be staying at. No One will ever care for a loved one like you will...
