Never had something I didn't like ....pizza foccacias and apps are all delicious!

Avoid the meatball sandwich. It was very soggy and the meatballs were far from fresh. Pizzas good

This is a change from my original review, since then they have new owners, it's not the same anymore. Quality is not the best anymore, still good though, and service changed drastically. They seem to suffer in control of the kitchen to the front. It should not take 20 min to make a turkey and cheese sandwich. When I opened it, there was even a single roasted red pepper in the wrapper. Red onions on half of the sub. (I did not order any onions). While I sat there waiting, no one bother to let me know it will be just a min or five. I definitely won't go out of my way to go there anymore.

Merendino's Pizza Restaurant is a local treasure. The customer service alone is reason enough to return. The staff is warm, patient, and happy to go above and beyond to provide an outstanding customer experience. The menu includes classic Italian cuisine including delicious lasagna, as well as burgers, and, of course, the best pizza you can find in the area. Maybe you'll get lucky and visit on a day when the pizza scientists have been experimenting...

The hygiene and food prep safety at this place are well below safe. I ordered a pizza and watched the manager or owner, who ever he was, break up cheese clumps in the big plastic container, eat some, pick up his cell phone, handle money, etc, etc. When I said I could no longer stomach the thought of eating the food prepared here, the guy went crazy on me. He did return my money, but the place is not safe to eat in. No plastic gloves for food prep people. There are so many safe good places to eat in the area, no inconvenience to avoid this place.

Congratulations to the Owner he was very polite..treated all his customers with .courtesy...we had an excellent food..great service.... I'd recommend this place Very Highly... keep it up folks.....

My fiance and I went there a while back and we really like the place. The pizza was good the salads were good and the service was good. The parking is okay. The restaurant is a little bit confusing because they have one side for takeout in one side for restaurant sit down. However overall it was a great experience and we will be going back at some point

I am editing my old 1 star review, as this place is now under new management. Holy cow everything is always so good!! Orders are always correct, and delivery is expeditious!! We order from Merendino's nearly once a week!

We are from MD and had our son's baseball team lunch here. Service was great and food was delicious and they accommodated 50 of us!

SO GOOD! The rice Ball & The Godfather foccicia delicious! & the margarita pizza.

Today was my first time ordering from this place and It was terrible. My husband and I ordered a large buffalo chicken Stromboli and when I got home we opened up the box and the whole thing was burnt. We needed to be somewhere on time so I was not able to take it back. My husband took a bite out of it to see if it was even good although it was burnt, and it was terrible. I also noticed they don't wear gloves when touching the food. The best place to go to for cleanliness, great service, and great food is Maurizios in Neptune. We figured since we are in a rush we would try this place since it is not far from where we live. But it was terrible and we will never order from there again.

A driver wrote in $10 tip after I left A dollar after he was unbelievably rude and when I went to complain a few days later when My cc cleared the guy said he doesn t know who the driver was and there was no way for him to find out I should of just complained when I happened... I didn t want to complain because everyone has a bad day but my point was he stole money and I wasn t going to be coming and back and was told that s ok because I m a rich man... so rude and unprofessional so just make sure if you order from here save your copy and check your card statement!

Ordered flounder francaise - got tilapia- disgusting- NEVER again

Another shift on Medic Unit #202 and another stop at a local restaurant for pizza.

Today it's a Grandma and White Tomato slice with 2 Boli Knots and the house tomato sauce for dipping.

Crust was crispy with soft tasty interior, sauce was delicious and the cheese was a good blend.

Definitely a place I would recommend!!!

Great food and service. Hard to make a decision on slice pizza. To many great looking choices. I'll have to sample different slices each time I come back.

Me and my co-workers go to lunch almost everyday and we really like the floor I would recommend go eat there and order number 3 combo is a sandwich with fries and a can of cook.

Got pizza from here on Sunday and loved it. Tonight we ordered dinner delivered. It came in less time than they said. Salads were crisp and cold. Entree portions were huge and delicious. And you have to try the zeppolis! This is our new go-to Italian place.

Ordered delivery for a large extra cheese pizza.First off,they gave the driver the incorrect address and he had to call me and ask how to get to my home.
When I got the pizza and opened the box;it looked like a NASCAR race driver delivered it! Half the cheese was all in one corner of the box,then,when we scooped it back on and reheated it(wasn't even lukewarm),it was burned on the bottom.It's a 1 star from me(only because I had to give that for the review to be posted)
I will not be patronizing them again;far too many better choices in the area.

My fiancee, daughter, friend and I ordered from here. The shop was not busy. My fiancee's fries had dirty ketchup packets thrown in it, so her fries needed to be remade. I ordered a ham, capacolla and provolone sub with everything. It had no capacolla, no oil, no vinegar, no salt, no pepper, no oregano and only one slice of cheese. My daughter ordered a personal pizza but it was an inch of dough and barely any cheese or sauce. On top of it all it took nearly an hour to make 3 sandwiches and one personal pizza. Never ever go here. There are much better places to go to.

The bacon chicken ranch pizza is a great unique pie worth trying.

I go here all the time. Its an Awesome restaurant! Love their pizza and authentic Italian Cuisine. The owner is very friendly and makes people feel like they are part of the family. Love their Old-Fashioned Pizza, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Baked Ziti. They have the best Cheesesteaks in Ocean!

I ordered Grandma's pie and I ate the whole thing. Friendly people too.

Cajun chicken slice is he beat I've ever had from here. Only saw that slice in one over pizzeria. If you call one minute before they close they will still stay open for you and wait for food to be picked up. Great service and food. One of the beat pizzerias in ocean!

They changed ownership about a year ago and I stopped going because the food started to become meh. What a turnaround. Wow. Food is great!!

Ordered food and they forgot half the order. Called them back said they would bring the rest out in 15 mins. Over an hour later called them the girl that I spoke to earlier didn t remember. The owner said they were to busy to send out the rest of our food. This is the 3rd time this has happened and the so called credit has never been given. Terrible customer service.

Pizza is good and there prices are even I also order boneless chicken(which is great too)till today when I got server chicken nuggets very disappointed

So bad over priced garbage.
1. No flavor on a bacon chicken ranch slice
2. Not cooked through
3. Burnt on the bottom
4. 2 slices of chicken bacon ranch $8.02

So all in a nut shell had half of the one slice and a bite of the other to see if it was better. No it was worse then the first. So I throw it all out. So throw your money away and save you stomach instead of going to this place.

Called in an order for a sub, and the man who answered the phone said 10 minutes. Left work 20 minutes later to pick up sub, which wasn't even ready. Woman who I dealt with didn't even seem to care that it wasn't ready. Only stopped here because it is next door to my bank and I needed to stop there first. Won't be using them again, and will not recommend them to other teachers I work with. I would rather pay more and go up the street to Illiano's then deal with them again.

Ordered a sicilian and a small grilled chicken salad. Salad was fine, however asked for creamy Italian and was given regular Italian and when questioned about it was told that it was creamy Italian. The pizza crust was burnt and the pizza itself overloaded with sauce, overall not what I was expecting.

Not sure if ownership had changed in the past couple years but it's definitely not the same, used to love this place. The other pizzas on display looked good, but I'm not going to go 25 minutes out of my way again to see

Merendino's never disappoints! Their deliveries often show up ahead of the projected time, and the food is never burnt. Not to mention amazing items like their Avenue U Sicilian pizza, and other great specialty pizzas. You can't go wrong with Merendino's.

Wish I can give more stars but I can t. There food is the BOMB! Always fresh & delicious! They tell you 35-40 mins BUT they always come to our house within 20 mins. Love this place!!!! Our favorite pizza place from Michele & Victoria!

I gave it a one because it was good food but I guess they whiched management because last time when I ordered u were aloud to get foods under 10 dollars but now u have to buy stuff over 10 dollars or more and I was like I only want something for $6.32 but now I have to get more food that was $11.10 and I had to buy more food that I didn t want like bro

I wish there was a button for negative stars. First off, the salad itself took about a year to come out, I think I grew some grey hairs sitting there. Next the rice ball I was expecting to be white was an odd red color that looked like a crayola coloring book exploded in the kitchen. Then, after my grey hair grew in, my cavatelli pasta finally came. If the pasta was any more overcooked i could have slurped it up with a straw. This meal was not only bad but cost a left arm and a liver. Definitely would recommend if you want to throw your money down the drain.

These guys make some delicious slices. I work in the village so I like to stop by for lunch from time to time. Their service is quick and John and Camillo are very friendly. The slices come out hot and crispy on the edges every time. Definitely check them out!

Asked for oil and vinegar on the side. Sub was soaked. I was told it would be replaced the next time I ordered. I was charged on my next order. I sent everything back. No way to do business.

Slice and a coke, great crust fair price nice and hot. Good stop. Fast attentive staff.

Yup first of all the owners are the best. They're so accommodating. They're Italian so the food is authentic. And they also have the best chocolate mousse cake there

Maybe it s me, but What ever happened to wearing gloves?
When you re handeling customers and the register you should not be allowed to them turn and start cutting the large blocks of cheese that sits on the side counter. Then back to the register and not once washing your hands.
As we all know money is filthy so why you would handle money then my food and expect me to eat it..... I don t know. Never again
Time to find a new place

The dinners were so good, including the salad and bread. Chicken Francese and Vesl Parm were very tender. Big portions as well.

Ordered a soup and french fries to be delivered. Why bother giving an eta when it s not going to come anytime soon. It s been an hour and 30 min. Still no soup... when I called I asked the gentleman what happened to my order and he said oh it will be there in 5 minutes. That was 20 min ago.

Awful new management , advertising prices from the old menu yet charging something completely different afterwards . Sandwich on menu from previous owner is still being used and still being distributed to local businesses . Owner is very rude and has 0 customer service skills .

Worst person i've ever dealt with answering phones, really rude. Considering the food wasn't all that great one would expect better customer service. After placing an order she didn't even say thank you, or good bye, just hung up on me.

My friends and I ordered from here about three times. The food is medicore and the people that work there are unprofessional.
The pizza is pretty much always burnt and the chicken parm had absolutely no taste. I wont be ordering from here anytime soon.

Read reviews and was a little scared to order but said to myself let me make my take on this place most reviews are bad but I gave it a try. Ordered mozzarella sticks and french frys for my daughter they were good ordered myself philli cheese steak and it was the worsed thing I every tried to eat no peppers and onions white cheese don,t even know what it was and steak was a steak emm that you buy in a supermarket .would have been better going to to wendys or mac donalds for a quarter of the price

Took an hour and a half to deliver. Called restaurant and they said it'd be there in a few minutes, 45 minutes later, no food.

The food and price isn't terrible but you're better off going elsewhere because the service leaves much to be desired. It took almost 40 minutes on a to go order for them to make two sandwiches and heat up some garlic knots that are sitting out on the counter. Absolutely ridiculous. Plenty of other pizza places in the area that have better food, prices, and service. Go to luigis down the street.

Merendino's has the most delicious chipotle avocado chicken salad, which I end up ordering every time because it is hard to resist. Usually, the business takes a very long time to deliver about 45 minutes to an hour. I am a regular customer. Today, I placed my order at 12:40pm. It is now 2:20pm. That's an hour and 40 minutes for a salad! I am still waiting on it.. this is the last time I am ordering Merendino's. Very disappointing, especially when I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Hands down, the best pizza on the Jersey shore. Friendly staff.
