Moved in 2004. BED BUG INFESTATION treated with NO RESULTS contuinly 4 Years, my WHOLE TORSO COVERED WITH SORES.

My friend Jenny has been employed as a social worker in the Tenderloin for several years now. Her tweets about it (things like: "today: 4 dead clients, 1 murdered provider, 1 client defecated in the lobby, 1 dead dog, & 1 facebook friend posted pictures of nachos.") got me curious as to what her job is like. She was kind enough to answer some of my questions.

This is what it's like living at Mercy Housing: violent drug dealers try to kill people over $7 worth of crack. Cockroaches, bed bugs, mice everywhere. Terminix comes twice a month to spray and lay glue traps. This has been going on for over 8 years and the mice and the roaches are still there. Why would they completely eliminate the problem when they got a sweet contract going? Other tenants screaming at you for absolutely no reason at all. And the folks outside my window blasting stereo, yelling, screaming, fighting, almost every night. If Mercy wanted to be merciful they would let people just sleep in the park. Trust me you'd be better off. Here's Mercy Housing's screening process: Hey you got money to pay us? OK. You can move in.

Not creating a humane environment!!not ethical and not supportive. Mercy Housing in commerce city, staff does not follow the true values of the company. I called several days ago asking for the property manager and finally I get a call back today and she was very rude over the phone. I asked if she could not be rude to me and all she kept saying was Hmmm! I need to help my dad not be evicted from Mercy housing but they don t care about helping people like my father, that don t speak English fluent and have a hard time reading letters in English that get posted on his door. How is someone that speaks spanish suppose to read English and understand it fluent. I am asking for help. Please, I asked the property manager for the regionals information and all she told me was her name. Annette please help me and my father and stand true to your values of mercy housing. The manager said she did not have a phone number to give to me and that she would tell you to call me. I have waited all day and have not heard from anyone. I would like to speak to someone above the property manager and above the regional manager. I hope there is someone that could help us.

Does not care about the well being of their employees! Only business in the building where employees were forced to come to work in the middle of a pandemic! Should be ashamed of themselves and possibly sanctioned by the government.

Not ethical, completely biased. If you ever have a confrontation while living on the Mercy Housing Parkside location, dont expect MH to take any real interest. That includes property/leasing mangers to cooperate. They do not return phone calls, emails, the leasing office barely opens their door. There are no true investigations as to who causing problems and why there are problems on the property. The only thing they will do is issue out Notice of Compliance and threaten the residents with termination of their lease, again without truly doing any investigations. Their mailboxes are constantly broken into and damaged, again no investigations-- although this is a federal offense. They claim to have cameras but the cameras never catch any of the crime. Maintanence and management is a revolving door. They've had so many different people in and out of that office, I know they struggle to keep up on their tasks, maintanence, and paperwork to stay in compliance. For example: You are due to renew your lease in November 2018. You make ample attempt to meet with the leasing manager to do so. However the leasing manager has been replaced again and the new guy keeps standing you up. So months have gone by and guess what? Theres a new leasing manager and you make her aware and she says she'll call you.. .. Its the last week of June 2019 and you finally sign your lease w/o the option to add (apply) someone to your lease.

I could go on and on, from no prompt snow removal to the increase of police visits. But I'm not. Best of luck in this harsh economy and housing crisis.

Great place to work. I've done some contract work for them around data entry. Laura Andres and Kate Runge have been an absolute joy to work for.

Literally live in one of the apartments and it s the worst I had to buy everything that they should cover pay full rent it s not ok in anyway shape or form
