Wow. So glad I changed my mind and stayed at the Sebel. Perfect location overlooking the Wynard quarter. Great room! Friendly staff. Close resturants that you can charge back to your room. Thanks Sebel.

On arrival reception was unmanned for over 10 mins before anyone showed up to check me in where on giving my card to hold was overcharged over $200 on it for a full stay even though it had been booked and paid for on another card. There was then a two day battle to get the money returned.
Sink was chipped and cracked as were floor tiles and the shower got warm but never hot. Can t really say I had a good nights sleep as it s not soundproofed and the music from clubs and bars can be heard.
Finish on a positive, location is fantastic.

Stayed one night with a friend. Room was a good size, large bathroom with 2 doors for access but must say, the view was beautiful, both day and night..staff helpful and accommodating..great place to stay for direct access to the hustle n bustle of the viaduct..

A tremendous place to stay and be in a relaxed environment.

There's nothing better when the staff are so on top of things, you can just enjoy being in a well-polished machine. Everyone is friendly, the patrons are happy and jovial- this, in the middle of winter.

The location is about as good as it gets- 5 star views of the gorgeous marina, harbor bridge and people watching from our 4th level apartment.

The adjacent world class pool/gym is magnificent. Free swims and only $8 for a daily gym pass. Couldn't be happier!
The full kitchen is a dream, as is the washer/dryer set up.
If my wife and I didn't have a family, we could happily live out our days here!

I paid for the deluxe suite . It was a great sized room and great location however the room itself didn t feel clean it was very poorly dressed and overall didn t feel worth the money spent .

The room here was really nice (with washer and dryer built in, bonus!) and a really friendly staff. They offer the usual fully stocked mini-bar (which would cost a fortune to take part in) and some great selections of teas and press coffee.

The balcony is enough to stand on and little else, but is nice to have none-the-less. Just remember where this place is located - above a dozen bars by the water. Come 2am, if you're windows are open, this place is LOUD. My wife and I were woken about that time, as the bars were letting out and the happily tipsy folks were making their way to their cars are full vocal volume. It went on about 1/2 an hour before it settled down again. So, just be aware of location. But if you like easy access to a bunch of stuff, this is a really good place. Oh, and the image is the view from our room - nice.

Parking is horrible, but they do offer a few spots in their garage at $35/night.

We just stayed in this hotel for the last 5 days. Upon arrival the staff were unfriendly and uninformative. We did come across one lady thst suggested a day trip for us that we did and loved. But the men behind the counter just told us to look at the brochures. The rooms were stuffy. There is no gym no pool no restaurant, although plenty of restaurants around town. Upon check out there was no thanks for staying with us. NO I hoped you enjoyed your stay. Just lead us to the lift. Sad. Staff need to do a customer service/ friendly course. Also $35 a day to park your car was a bit rich considering we were staying at the hotel. Overall pretty sad service. We wont stay at a sebel hotel again.

Best location in Auckland. Sound proofed and quiet, good sized self contained rooms but next to the trendy waterside restaurant area. Walk to Queen Street shopping precinct in 5 min. I'm staying via AirBNB in a Studio apartment but Sebel manages the front desk and the majority of the apartments in the building.

Good service etc. etc. I reserve 5 stars for something special. This ticks all the boxes for a big city hotel though.

Good location and service, stunning view on the wharf and yachts. But we stayed for 3 weeks and everything was covered with dust in the end. I also noticed the cleaning was not thorough during our stay.

Had 2 nights here before the start of our cruise. Wonderful location overlooking the Marina & loads of restaurants & bars close by and then it was only a short drive to the Cruise Terminal.

Great stay here, I stayed here on business. It can be a bit noisy in the evenings with the bars below, but they don't stay open for too long. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the supermarket to grab supplies. A nice spacious apartment with wonderful views and pretty quiet. I love how you can't hear the other door from the other apartments closing during the night.

The Sebel is in a fantastic location with plenty of great restaurants within a very short walk, basically down stairs, and you are at the center of everything

Front desk staff were very efficient, rooms are of a good size, bed was comfortable, very little noise from the streets.

I had a basic room, without a harbour view but it was still of a good standard and had a city view Te cost was good, not huge like some in the city centre.

Overall i would stay there again, basic but everything you need

Great

Have stayed here multiple times. Highly recommend it. The viaduct bars and restaurants are literally downstairs. Staff and management are extremely friendly and welcoming. If you're concerned about noise from the bars etc would recommend staying in the non harbour view rooms otherwise definitely get the harbour view rooms. Very spacious and well appointed.

Noisy and bad views. Most of rooms can t see the harbour. It is the hotel I would not book twice. I checked out when 2am, because it s too noisy and I can t sleep, so I went to another hotel for staying a night!

A bit of a walk to shops etc, but can't beat the quietness and walk around the harbour at your door step not to mention the amazing view. Rooms are not huge but clean, tidy and have everything u need.

Cordial reception. Great views of harbor from room. Room is mini suite which meant I could read travel brochures while my wife slept. Great location next to water front and surrounded by terrific restaurants.

Good hotel located on Auckland Viaduct Harbour. I stayed in a 1 bed suite which had Harbour facing views. Location is brilliant. Rooms size is big for the price but no complentory breakfast is provided. Suite is filled equipped with kitchen and washing machine, dryer, etc. Room service is not that great. It is located very close to Queen Street. Nice place to stay in Harbour area.

Always a pleasure going to the Viaduct. I visit an old friend who stays there whenever I am in Auckland and the staff are always very attentive, helpful and polite. A great location as well!

We were booked in a studio with city view for two nights. There was hardly any view though. The room however was super comfortable with all the amenities, including a washing machine and dryer. The internet is chargeable, however the charges were waived once we signed up for Accor group membership.

This hotel is perfectly situated, within walking distance of the Harbour and it's many restaurants, as well as the Skytower and Queen streets. The area has been refurbished with a modern look, which makes for a very inviting atmosphere. The rooms are a bit drab and could use some updating, but they were both fairly priced and functional. The one issue that I had was that they wanted to charge me a "convenience fee" for paying with a credit card, which is ridiculous and importantly, against card association (MasterCard and Visa) rules. I totally understand that accepting a credit card reflects a merchant cost, but association rules preclude the merchant from passing that cost on to the cardholder.

Great spot right in the middle of all the viaduct action. Restaurants all around and convenient to shopping and offices in the CBD. The rooms are spacious enough, but barely make the definition of "suites." Basically, the area with the bed can be sealed off from the main room by a sliding door, which leaves hardly any room to walk around the bed. Also, plan on taking a very long time to get to this hotel. Traffic in the CBD is a nightmare, and the roads around the hotel are massively jammed. Finding the carpark is another adventure altogether - you have to know where to look as is sanwiched between a couple of shops several metres from the hotel entrance. And there is no place to pull up and check in. If you miss the entrance, plan to spend 15-20 minutes circling around to get back to the hotel.

Gret location and decent rooms. The best have a harbour view- worth trying to get. The rooms which face the multi story car park are ok, but a little dark. There is no bar or restaurant here, so breakfast is arranged with Giraffe restaurent next door and is very expensive and you can't really drop in for cornflakes and toast. On the bright side, the rooms have a kitchen area with a 'fridge, so you can always do some self catering.

Fantastic location to walk the viaduct and all the restaurants and bars. Really disappointed with the room. Supposedly a deluxe one brm suite with marina view - room is in definite need of some maintenance. Toilet does not work properly, ranch slider does not close with ease no mini bar unless requested. Not clean - Overall, not worth the money spent to get a luxury night away. Wouldnt come back again - there are far nicer options available in the city.

The harbor view is simply amazing. I guess I would classify this as an all suite hotel. The services offered are while limited, the overall experience makes up for the rest. DO NOT GET THE CITY VIEW!

No shampoo, no soap, no toilet brush, one light wasn't working, electrical switchboard was due to be tested in 2014, good side is that it was comfy and there's parking below the building but get in quick for them.
