Always stunning views, cute animals and nice people
Such a great place! Wide variety of trails and amazing views
This is an amazing place to visit for an hour or a week. Visit the farm with your kids, or hike to and stay in one of the remote cabins. It is incredibly beautiful and well run.
We spent couple of hours here and really enjoyed it.
The staff is helpful and one of the guys there showed us around and give us a chance to feed the animals.
Really nice for a walk around the farm.
The place also have small gift shop.
It will take multiple trips to see it all but the 2 hours we spent there were magical. Can't wait to go back
Been camping there for over 25 years. A wonderful place to get away from it all. Bless this place
Great place to take children to learn about farm basics and pet animals
Went on a mushroom foraging class second on. Vary educational first class left with alot to cook. About a pound. Highly recommend it.
Great place to come with kids. Horses and sheep are out but maple syrup making hasn't started.
I've been to Merck many times. Each visit is a new adventure.
Setting out on the trails, there is a tree to the right that you can stand inside of, and it blows my childlike sense of wonder away.
I always stop to see the animals; sheep, pigs, horses. I don't always stop to see the wildlife. However, I did see a porcupine for the first time while walking the trails. (What a weird looking animal.)
I stopped at every shelter and every pond on my first trip. Let me just say, they are immaculately built. I have not yet rented a cabin, but I do see my future self spending a week in one.
You may have to watch your step on the main paths near the sugar house. Remember, this is a farm we're talking about. The sheep don't care where they poo.
Every view (except maybe the poo) is absolutely breathtaking. It doesn't matter what time of year you're visiting, you'll be in awe. Personally, I favor visiting in the early autumn months. Watching the leaves change is always marvelous, but at Merck, it feels different...in a good way.
Went there with a summer camp and school. Nothing could have been better. The animals are adorable, the trails are spectacular and the staff are very kind.
Our Boy Scouts Troop always enjoys camping here. It's great for cabin camping and a nice hike
Hidden gem with miles of trails for hiking and skiing in the hills, amazing long views of the sunset, maple sugaring, demo farming etc.
Beautiful place to bring your kids and to go hiking
This is my absolute favorite place for hiking. The trails are quiet and almost magical. All levels of challenge and some incredible views from the peaks. Also a really romantic venue for weddings or gatherings. Hiking is free and fantastic. Bring the dogs!
This is a great place to go on a hike. The views are incredible and there's lots to see and do. The trails around the farm are very hilly so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. It was amazing seeing the sheep and it's nice that you can walk your dog as long as they are on a leash.
A wonderful place for nature and farm lovers of all ages.
Beautiful area, we went for the pancake breakfast and will be back to rent a cabin.
A great concept of environmental conscious tourism on a real farm producing delicious maple syrup sold on premises. Pay a visit to the visitor center before your hike for info on trails condition and tips for visitors (and of course to buy syrup if interested), it is possible to rent cabins and do camping. Our family did a few hours long hike and learned about maple syrup extraction. Recommend to any age and fitness level.
Fun family camping and hiking. Nice views. Watch out for porcupines (if your dog likes to roam).
This is a great escape with so many trails to explore (varying terrain), and a beautiful farm as well. The history of this amazing place is fascinating and inspiring. Cabins are fabulous to rent for and make some awesome memories.
Raining hard when I got there, so I only visit the info center. Did not get to your.
Amazing location. Staff is 5 star and the trails are breathtaking. We were able to see a baby sheep being born when we visited.
Always enjoy our annual trip up to Ned's Place in the winter!
Nice hiking trails from the intermediate to advanced. Excellent maple syrup.
Had my two kids experience an awesome time in the spruce cabin for a weekend getaway. As we hiked in the kids learned all about their maple syrup production. And even had a sample.
It is no amusement park; it's a step back in time and simply amazing.
What an incredible place. Thank you to all the people who make this accessible to the public. Truly beautiful.
beautiful views, natural setting...walk the trails. This is a great gift to the public
My friends brought us here for a couple of days hiking. We stayed in Neds cabin. It was awesome!
In the middle of the night; probably 2amish a lovely old Porcupine decided to sharp his teeth on the porch. At first, in my sleep, I assumed a bear or large animal was smelling the food we had brought and decided to break in to help itself. When awake, which didn't take long because the noise was like a power tool I got up and investigated the source of the noise with a torch. The porcupine was a little miffed to be interupted but shuffled off politely into the night.
The bugs enjoyed our stay and seemed to find deet spray to their liking. I must have had 20 to 30 bites.
There was plenty of dry wood and we had a great time sitting by the fire.
A beautiful experience.
Always a favorite - immerse yourself for 30 minutes checking out the new baby animals, a few hours of great hiking with phenomenal views or a few nights renting one of the many cozy cabins.
I buy the maple syrup from them every year. To me it has a great taste that I can t find anywhere. I buy 4 bottles every year.
I went with my 5th an 6th grade group both years and want to go again before I go to 7th grade.
The views are amazingly beautiful on the mountain with a flowing river next to a lean-to.
This place is a must see campsite with cabins as well as an few lean-to's
If you are staying at a cabin or just visiting for the day, you must go on a trail or two!
All in all, BEST CAMPSITE EVER!!!!!
Nice place to go hiking. There s plenty of nice scenic views and animals. I would say this place is a bit overrated, but I certainly enjoyed it. I d totally recommend this place overall.
