We always enjoy our dinners at Finz and Tales. They have the best fried oysters!!! The seafood platter is wonderful. The clam strips are probably the best you will find anywhere. Also, the bread pudding is delicious! Nice, friendly people, an enjoyable time.
Cute place with good food! We got the Salmon and the Shrimp and Lobster pizza and both were very good! The service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly
So I've lived in literal walking distance of this place for five years, and I drive by it everyday, always telling myself I really should stop in. Well today was the day.
They are incredible.
I had the pork shank over potatoes, I wanted to play it reasonably safe so I didn't do seafood on the first outing, but I absolutely will on the second. But anyway, the pork was absolutely amazing, so fall off the bone tender that the steak knife that accompanied it was merely a suggestion you absolutely did not have to take, lol.
The complimentary bread was served with a tapenade, and I could've eaten it with a spoon. My server was incredible too, and we shared a couple of laughs as she went about her gig. Super personable.
And the Manhattan she mixed me, absolutely my go to cocktail, and it was one of the best I'd ever had. I will not be waiting another five years for the return visit!

Went there close to closing (but within half an hour of closing)we were basically ignored by staff. When I finally was able to flag down ,who I assumed was a hostess, I was brushed off with a non eye contact phrase we ve stopped seating . So I can t comment on the food. But the 1960 s decor, musty odor and snotty staff were enough to make me NEVER EVER want to set foot in there again.. It s a dinosaur that doesn t know know it s extinct and rotting in its former glory.Its really too bad as I always look for nice places to bring out of town guests and business associates. Fins and Tails made my no way list without even serving food!
I had Braised Lamb Shank and it was delicious. Tracy P. has recommended it as one of the best restaurants in Southbridge and I must agree. It is a very cozy setting to eat with family, friends or work colleagues.

We ordered the Fish & Chip Plate from the takeout window. There were two big pieces of fish (haddock), lots of fries and a small container coleslaw for $10.50. I would order it again.
The food here is incredible. The pulled pork cheese fries did not disappoint and are really filling. Barely ate half of my dinner and I got tips. They were perfectly cooked and the glaze went amazingly with it and the mashed. Will be returning for more!
Good service, fast delivery on food, we got there just about 5 o'clock. Calamari, crab cakes and rice balls all were excellent! Good draft beer list, all in an old building with lots of character. We will be back!
Absolutely superb dinner. Husband had braised lamb and could not stop praising the meal. I had the special, seafood casserole, and was very pleased. Love the old building decor combined with some new. A diamond in the rough. Wish we lived closer to enjoy more often.
Had the shrimp linguini bumped up with the lobster and it was great... Deb our server was excellent had a great Valentine's dinner out and for a first time there I was very pleased to have such a great place in town.
Fins & Tales has been a family favorite for years. Their quality food and cozy atmosphere never disappoints. They are also a perfect option for events. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic weather you are dining alone or have a large event.
Drive by all the time and can't believe this is the first time we have stopped in! Food was delicious! Seafood Fra Diavolo was out of this world and the fried oyster special was fantastic!

Went there with my wife and daughter. It was not busy at all. Literally stood there for 5 minutes until someone said "we'll be with you shortly". Over 5 minutes after that, the chef comes out and tells us they don't have a lot of staff, but someone will be with us. After a total of 15 minutes without service, we walked out.
Really top notch quality food! Definitely should give them a try if you haven't yet!

My husband and I just tried this place for dinner tonight after visiting family in Southbridge and had a wonderful meal. It's a little hard to imagine how gorgeous the bar and dining area are from the outside, especially for those who are not used to how New England repurposes its historic buildings, but please proceed inside, you won't be disappointed! The service was friendly and prompt, the menu choices are plenty and the food was delicious. The bar offered a nice assortment of beers on tap, and wines by the glass, as well as a nice offering of house specialty cocktails. We started with New England chowder and a mixed green salad. The chowder was thick, creamy, tasty with plenty of clams. The salad, fresh with some nice surprise. Our entrees included the spaghetti and meatballs, come hungry, the portions are large! The meatballs tasted like they were homemade. The other entree was the Tomato and Mozzarella Pizzetta - FANTASTIC. There was a delicate crunch to the crust and the toppings were perfectly balanced with a simple synergy. We finished with a brownie sundae. Again, the portion was definitely big enough for two to share. It was good, with plenty of whipped cream and ice cream, too, but both my husband and I agreed, the brownie seemed more like cake than a brownie but it was yummy! We will definitely be back, with friends!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. The scallops unbelievable chowder fantastic my wife said best steam clams she's ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone prices are very reasonable

The homemade ravioli with a light dough and cheese filling was amazing! Lightly fried hand shucked oysters were cooked to perfection. Fresh salads with a variety of house dressings. Rustic elegance. A very pleasant dining experience!

We went to Fins and Tales for the 1st time. It's small and very comfortable. We had calamari for an appetizer, and it was excellent. I had the salmon and my husband had seafood casserole. Both dishes were amazing. We sat at the bar and the bartender was fun and engaging. Highly recommend Fins and Tales.
From the outside, it looks questionable. However, the inside is elegant, with exceptional service. I ordered the scallops and they were some of the best I have ever had. I am so glad I tried it after veiwing it from only the outside.
Never had a bad meal there, and very reasonable prices. It's not gourmet, but it's really good - not just standard pub food.

Huge drink menu, the staff is beyond wonderland, the atmosphere is great, I could go on and on! If you haven't already, try it! You won't be disappointed!!!

Just left this great restaurant and we cannot wait to go back. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The braised short ribs are to die for! The crab deviled eggs were the perfect start, and do not leave until you have had their bread pudding. Fantastic all-around. You will not be disappointed.
Limited menu on new New year's Eve. Order the Fillet medium and received an uncooked piece of steak, had them cook it more and got it back well done and burnt and they didn't even reglaze it. So I ate shoe leather for dinner.
I highly recommend the Beef Short Ribs. Had them last night.

Also, during the summer months, they have a Fins to go area outside where you can get fresh summer offerings such as lobster rolls, fried clams, fried shrimp, hamburgers, fish sandwiches. Dont hesitate and miss out in this local gem. Highly recommended!! Cant go wrong.

A cozy atmosphere tucked away inside a historic building from 1888. You will receive excellent service as you enjoy a very tasty meal at an affordable price.
Look out for the duck confit special. Other favorite is the mussels dijionaise. Tonight I had the tenderloin tips with Gorgonzola sauce. The sauce was creamy and mild, a perfect compliment and delicious on our potatoes. My daughter had the baked brie and lobster and crab pizzeta. The baked brie comes melted in a flaky pastry shell with a fruit confit with toasted bread. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We've never had a bad or even mediocre experience especially for the reasonable prices
I'm a Florida resident but I travel a lot for work and stumbled upon this awesome place and couldn't have been more pleased with the service my boyfriend and I received the food was to good for words! I got the fried fishemans feast and he got lobstah Mac n cheese! Got to meet the awesome owners as well. The whole experience from food the drinks the people was just phenomenal and anytime I pass through mass we will definitely be passing through fins and tails! Highly recommended!
