Pretty good environment overall. Parking is absolutely ridiculous. Staff has way to many spots. They don't even use half of them so it leaves students scrambling to find parking. The math department is so/so but overall nice place.
Got my AA degree here. Great campus, they work closely with you to ensure you achieve your goals.
My student fee wasn t due until November but they sent it to collections 3 months early . Why Merced College?????
Great Campus. Centered in a small city. Although it can get kind of warm in the summer the classrooms have GREAT AC. AND parking space is never a problem.
I think Dr Leonard at least taught here. He is the best teacher ever on Youtube for calculus and probabilities. I just started a Industrial Engineering Masters and realized that I forgot everything from my en engineering undergrad - I had not been to school for over 10 years and after watching his videos, I know more than I did after completing my undergrad about those subjects. Thank you!!!
As a proud Blue Devil alumni, it is with great honor to recommend this community college to anyone and everyone. This place helped me in so many ways. I would proudly return to complete more A.A. degrees. I would definitely return to be an employee here. The professors and other staff are amazing and go above and beyond to assist students. Love the community involvement. Great location.
Its a good school and yes its boring, but you learn a lot especially if you pick the good teachers. When I first graduated high school I did not want to come here because everyone I knew would say it sucked, but I had no other choice because MJC was far, but it really doesn't the only thing is that its not fun, so if your looking for a fun school don't go here.
So far this college has been pleasant to deal with. No problems with staff or professors. They keep the campus pretty clean. Staff parking should not be right by all the front doors. Those spots should be for students. Staff should have their own dedicated lot. And it seems there's an awful lot of spots for staff as it is.
I went to Merced College before transferring to a university. (And came back after to finish science credits for graduate school) The fees are 10x less expensive than UC Merced and I found the course work to be even more challenging than the four year university level. Community colleges have a bad rap, but I received a great education here, thanks to many of the amazing professors! Some of the teachers are also adjunct professors from the UC. Most of the classes also have flexible times. The only challenge I had while attending is misinformation given by the school counselors regarding what classes to take to transfer.
