This is a great BMW dealership. Huge secure parking lot, the showroom floor is big. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have the BMW i8 on display and one to test drive. That car feels really comfortable to get into, sit and operate. To test drive you need to submit a copy of your driver's license to book your test drive. I'm highly impressed by this dealership.

We have launched a project Veggie Boxes to collect funds for training of children in vegetable farming with the Farmer Kidz programme. Alwyn and Robert were most helpful in supporting us by allowing us to collect the pallets that are a challenge to them in terms of waste disposal. We were able to make 50 boxes with our first collection. Our objective is to raise R5000.00 with by making Veggie Boxes to give the first workshop for children in Mamelodi.

Very unprofessional!!!!

Very unprofessional!!!!
Applied for a vehicle with Abel, sent all docs and then got a call from Louis(f&i) to say our deal was approved by absa but with a deposit to which i agreed. I was told i would be called as soon as the contract was ready for signature. Im still waiting and the vehicle i applied for has since been sold.
No apology or follow up from anyone and then they ignore you. Even the Sales manager promised to call me back but he probably lost my number.
I wish BMW could do something about this sloppy/useless service.

Don't know what's happening to this place. This Franchise is definitely no real representation for the BMW brand. Brought back my car for the 2nd time. The mistakes being made is ridiculous. The receptionist phones me to pick up my car, while it's still on the ramp. Wipers aren't replace while I specifically request it. A gearbox whines and I'm told it's my 2-week old back-tyres. These kinds of mistakes can be expected from BMW menlyn.

Whats the purpose of BMW SA following up on custom...

Whats the purpose of BMW SA following up on customer complaints and not enforcing some sort of disciplinary action against snobbish dealers? BMW Is quick to bend down backwards for a sale but as soon as your car hits 1 KM down the road from the dealer, said dealer just doesn't care anymore! So unless you bought a 1MIL car or have something else the dealers are interested in ( I don't know maybe you bought new shoes yesterday and look a little bit more appealing ) they just don't care, I mean a curtsy car is suppose to be reserved for those stranded and not for bait to buy another car. The brand is expensive to begin with, and their services are on par with Eskom management!

Don't bother taking your car there for service if you're from Soshanguve, Hammanskraal and even Attridgeville. They won't shuttle you back to those places. Maybe they should sell their cars to people only from the suburbs

Terrible service center, they continue to replace parts at the customers expense until the find the problem. I paid bmw menlyn R13 000 and got a broken car back. Then they wanted another R5500 for another part. I had to arrange another towing service to get my car away from bmw and to someone else that knows what he's doing that managed to fix my car for R1000. Couldn't get a refund or my old parts back from bmw. What a waste of money.

In short. If you have car problems. Dont go to bmw menlyn auto

INCOMPETENT WORKSHOP BROKE MY VEHICLE

INCOMPETENT WORKSHOP BROKE MY VEHICLE

Brought the vehicle in to replace fuel injectors to address a lean fuel mixture error. The job was supposed to last 2 to 3 hours.

After much drama they returned the vehicle after two days, but the engine was so rough and without power that they had to keep it for a third day.

On the third day I received the vehicle, again -- around 6 pm. When I got home all the coolant had poured out of the engine. When cold, the engine now only starts after cranking for a very long time. And the original lean fuel mixture error is still active.

Now I cannot use the vehicle and will have to hire another vehicle just to get to the office. Almost too scared to return the vehicle to Menlyn Auto. Who knows how long they will take this time, and what else will be broken?

UPDATE @ 2018/02/07 After two days in the workshop, I get a mail from Moses (the service rep), indicating that the cooling system is all broken: thermostat, pump, radiator. Cost, for my account: R 25 000.
Went to see the service manager, who said that they are not accountable at all. I mentioned to him that the thermostat and pump was replaced 14 months ago.

The coolant system fault was eventually fixed the next week Friday (9 Feb) at an additional cost of around R 8 000.

UPDATE @ 2018/02/27 Two weeks later the vehicle broke down when the coolant system failed. Also had to replace fuel injectors 4 and 5, which Menlyn Auto did not previously replace.

Integrity and Honesty: NOT at Menlyn Auto!

Integrity and Honesty: NOT at Menlyn Auto!
Pay a holding deposit to secure the car until cash from your investment account is released, was our assurance from the dealership and our holding deposit was duly accepted.
When phoning to arrange to finalise the deal, two weeks after paying the deposit, we were told that the car had been sold?? YES!! Not even a courtesy call from the dealership to ask if we could speed up the transaction OR to inform/apologise to us for the let down!!
Apparently the call to negate our transaction was made by 'management' - who ever that is...!
Will I deal with them again? Definitely not!
Should future customers be concerned? Definitely yes!

I took my vehicle in for a service on 5th June. I received poor service from three employees - Sandra, Kate and a driver by the name of France; there appeared to be a disjuncture between the Mini Service Desk and the BMW Service Desk; and a pair of black Havaianas flips flops that I left in my vehicle went missing. I sent a detailed account of my experience to service@mini.co.za, customer.service@bmw.co.za, and socialsa@bmw.co.za. My complaint was resolved in a swift and satisfactory manner. A big thank you to Charmaine Mapheto and Alwyn du Toit.

I had delivered my car on a Tuesday morning, phoning often on the progress of my car. Eventually Midday Thursday I fetched it. Probably would not have been ready if I hadn't called again. They performed an oil change on a car with an oil leak. They say it and decided to change oil and charge me without fixing or even calling to ask if they can repair the leak.
Drove away today with brand new oil leaking out my car. Workshop foreman and older gent in the glass office had absolutely no care what so ever. They do only as is written on the job card because noone can think past their own nose or pick up a phone and call..Absolutely worst experience ever.... never ever ever again.
Dealer principle or whoever may read this. Don't send a message about your customer care BS. Not interested.

Recently serviced by X3 here, but each visit leaves me feeling as if I've been cheated. Services and parts and labour are very expensive and even though they assign a dedicated service consultant, I'm always contacted by multiple people that does not have any context of what was discussed. Not the experience you'd expect from a BMW dealer.

Good day

Good day
Can you please refer me to someone who can intervene between myself and the above branch of BMW. Even though this is my second car I bought from the same branch, I do not get any joy from the service staff there. I have since complained about the battery consumption message my car is constantly showing as early as July this year. I was told it was the battery which was old and had been replaced. To date the message is still there. I complained later about the buttons on the ventilators on the dashboard apparently the whole unit was replaced and my CD player does not eject cd/dvds anymore. Other complaints were about the fog light and the reverse lights which were never attended till to date.

I have complained about the duplicate key that could not lock and unlock anymore. I was promised a new key which was since reluctantly replaced. However, after these replacement the car could not communicate with the panic button of the remote control anymore. I was told to go and upgrade the tracker device in the car which I did yesterday on the 19/12/2014. However, the remote panic button as well as the beep sound of the immobilizer are worse than they were before because they both do not work anymore. I contacted the service lady Sophy raising my concern hereabout she informed me that she is busy with other customers even though she responded to my call. I am so frustrated about the treatment I am getting from this branch that I will never buy any BMW anymore in my lifetime. My analysis is that customers are mislead to buy new cars with the promise that they would be looked after, where after the conditions of their cars are deliberately aggravated to ensure that they become frustrated so that they could replace them with new cars. This kind of treatment is really worrying and unacceptable. The state of my car deteriorate each time I take it for service at BMW Menlyn Branch
