Have just seen Marcus Brigstocke and the amazing cast perform BARNUM. It was wonderful and as far as I am concerned as good as the production in the 80's with Michael Crawford. Loved the intimate setting, great choreography and very talented performers. Well done everyone a truly great evening
Thank you
Visit this place before you attend the bunker theatre next door...the food + coffee won't disappoint
Absolutely delightful small theatre which has a wealth of character.
Beautiful performance of Watsons play which I might add was a delightful surprise with very talented actors. Great drinking and eating place also
Excellent performance Excellent location,Great food. Superb theatre. Recommend you go!
A quiet retreat on busy Thursday evenings. The menu is uncomplicated but good. The food is worth it and the service excellent. Don't forget this as a reasonable alternative to all the overpriced options more evident at first in London Bridge.
A very important theater always a suprise Good food and Beer
This theatre is just amazing. They get really good stuff, never disappoints !
I love this theatre, great place to see a show. Not so sure about the restaurant.
What a fantastic performance of Fiddler on the Roof. WOW
Rubbish customer service...After arriving one minute late for the curtain due to transportation, I was told to sit in the lobby and miss half of the play by the obstructive box office manager. A wind up followed, after they repeatedly refused to refund my money, and I was rudely informed my choice was either to wait for one hour or go home. Where's Mr. Selfridge when you need him?
Superb food. Superb show. This venue has never disappointed 20 years on!!
Went to see Barnum with a meal before hand and it was amazing! What an amazing night we had! Would recommend!
I'm very glad to be there and taste their Wines and experienced its lovely atmosphere.
Intimate theatre with some great performances and shows. Nice restaurant for pre-show drinks and dinner.
A small theatre with a close-up audience. Comfy seats and good views of the show.
Enter through the restaurant. The staff there may be busy, but they'll tell you where to go.
Intimate Theatre
Limited menu in the restaurant
Final scoring will depend on what is on in the theatre
Fiddler on the Roof - another first class show from the Member.
Loved the show and the intimacy of the performance area.
Everything is small & personal. The best theatre in London. Super restaurant. The meal deal is excellent value.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, good service. Next door, performances take place in a small theater room. If you book early enough, there are very reasonably priced menu deals (entrance + food) - recommendation!
Have seen many productions here but my favourite was Candide. Wonderful production, performers and musicians. A truly memorable show.
Excellent gallery. Only everything is as usual ... The electricity closed and the local people did not even worry. There work for an hour, but did not give. Nobody knows when they will restore it!
Theatre treat - all shows we ve seen (at least 6) were great
Fun little theatre that can get you very close to the action if that's your thing. The sound in particular was excellent on my visit - put some much larger venues to shame.
A sweet little theatre. I've been to several productions and enjoyed them all. Whatever you do though, try and avoid sitting at the back row close to the wall. I've had the unfortunate luck of sitting there with family/friends a couple of times and it can literally make it unbearable to watch the show and ruin the experience of a perfectly good production, as it gets rather hot and claustrophobic
Fantastic off - West end venue with consistently good shows
Great resturant, fantastic theatre. Saw fiddler on the roof, an absolutely incredible cast and one if the best shows I've seen. Would definitely go here again
Great theatre. Small and friendly. Good restaurant and good too. Meal and ticket packages good value.
The kings of the well-judged revival and spawning ground of many a West End transfer over the past decade.
A smashing venue. I really enjoy coming to this place.
Great old building, a good auditorium, putting on lots of really good shows, plus a fabulous restaurant.
I have been here several times and always enjoy it.
If you are coming to see a show, then definitely check out the restaurant while you're at it. Super food.
Sublime theatrical place. The pieces and music presented are always of high quality.
I always have a great time here. It is really intimate theatre and they always have great shows which often transfer to the West End.
We've been here five times and never seen an bad show. This venue is often used to preview shows that then go into the west end or tours.
The restaurant is fabulous with a nice selection of dishes to suit most palettes.
There is also a licensed bar and wine list catering to most tastes.
Great little theatre showing a fantastic play (Pack of Lies) with wonderful actors.
Wonderful theatre with interesring productions and top level casts, but beware the ferocious air conditioning above the premium seats. Several people commented and I asked them to turn it down a bit, but to no avail.
A great small theater with excellent repertoire coupled with a nice restaurant. Get a Meal Deal
Went to see Assassins there yesterday and it was wonderful. Such an interesting and intimate space, a real gem
Great theatre venue in an historic building. They put on some really interesting stuff here. Good for a bite to eat too.
Very unique and interesting place to see plays and musicals. Lovely restaurant.
A lovely little theatre where you are never far from the action! The Fiddler on the Roof was a triumph, it made me laugh and cry. The staff are friendly and helpful. The loss of a star was for difficult access to the bar and theatre for a wheelchair, although the staff were very accommodating and tried very hard to make our lives comfortable. Its an old building which makes for difficulties when changing entrances.
Visited the Menier Chocolate Factory to see Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4. It's a fantastic little venue. I've not had a bad experience here ever.
Place was dead and no atmosphere, very average food, however we did not even finish our meal as the noise from the staff tyding up the whole restraunt after the theater people had left was ridiculous, we eventually complained and left. Don't bother going unless you are either going to the theater or you like completely empty restaurant,s.
The website should indicate about this mass cleaning up or the should not take bookings while they sort everything out.
Great compact theatre and restaurant good food
Watched she loves me great show...
A very nice place for a meal. And if you want, a bit of theatre too.
We love the intimate atmosphere and have experienced many a magical show here
friendly staff, production interesting. Flat Iron Square is a good place for food beforehand
Easy relaxed vibe for pre-theatre meal, quirky vibe in the bar. Have seen about 10 productions here, all with high production values.
Best chocolate factory, the chocolate is different than most and is absolutely amazing.
We often have dinner here followed by a show and are always impressed with both the food and the service. Will definitely be returning soon.
A quaint little intimate fringe theatre with a restaurant attached. Well organised and very friendly.
Good pre theatre food, great old building and fantastic production of The Boy Friend.
You will never see anything here that isn't fantastic.
Super food and really interesting plays in a small theatre.
Set menu is often themed to the show and makes the evening that more memorable.
I love the Menier! The restaurant has a delicious always-changing menu and their shows are routinely a league above the West End.
Great theatre space with great previous history of transferring it's productions to the west end. Great sightlines and creative productions.
Shame about unhelpful box office, they don't reply to emails, they are mostly closed, nightmare. I am disabled and needed to buy an access ticket, they completely ignored me until all seats sold out. I am very upset by their behaviour, they just don't care. They have to provide tickets for the disabled by law but they couldn't be more obstructive.
have been coming here for 10+ years and would always reccomend it! of course not every show is 10/10 (all down to personal taste) but the theatre itself is lovely, staff are always great, and the restaurant is fab too. i ll keep coming back!
Wonderful place. Don't miss it! Small theater with a lot of character and great restaurant to eat before the play. Superb value for money on the set menu. Nice portions and home-cooked.
I possibly caught everyone on an 'off' day but the service I received was poor and non attentive. I literally had to get up out of my chair and approach staff to ask for something - so much for table service. Nonchalant and disinterested is how I would describe the attitude at this place. Don't bother if you're just there for food and not a show.
This is a lovely theatre that is sadly run by the rudest and most unhelpful people I have ever encountered in a fringe theatre. A website that does not work. A girl who is always on duty in the ticket office who I have overheard so many people complaining about her rudeness, full price tickets with a seriously restricted view. when I ask to have something done about it they were rude to me.
Everything here was very delicious. Steak was cooked well, chicken was moist, portion sizes were modest, but I did not expect massive portions; it was enough to satisfy my hunger.
The desert was also very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.
Fantastic show (Fiddler on the roof) but we were packed in very tightly on bench style seats - not very comfortable!
Great building and brilliantly performed Arthur Miller play. Top experience
Wonderful production of theatre in the round. Barnum performance a delight.
Excellent place to see plays in a smaller setting before they make it big in the west end
Restaurant: Lovely staff!! Even the chefs (open kitchen) are so thoughtful and kind (given my dietary bollox). I had the smoked chicken salad with pecan, pomegranate and sweet potato.... which was delicious. Extremely fresh and we'll More
Fantastic place for a dinner or good theater :) Alway 5 stars
