If you're looking for a little dessert, or maybe a lot, then stop by this place for a variety of frozen yogurt flavors and plenty of great toppings. Definitely join their free frequent buyers program, it pays off pretty quickly!

Edit in response to owner: one of my favorites is the mint, mixed with chocolate!

The place is just ok. The pro's: Many toppings from fruit to mochi. You can put as much toppings or as little as you want. A variety of flavors. Pay by weight.

The cons: Over priced. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. No patio- only outdoor seating is along the sidewalk. Not open late. The yogurt is artificially flavored.

The hours are a real issue. They close too early. There is not even enough time to go to a Crew game and then stop here for dessert. Graeter's and other ice cream places are open later.

I used to work a Ritter's Frozen Custard that was on Sawmill Rd. That place was successful until it was mismanaged. It had a patio, better location, higher quality desserts, and better hours. It became more lucrative to sell the plot of land to a bank. I do not foresee this place staying in business for long because of the location, higher prices for mediocre yogurt, and I assume high rent for the building itself.

One look at their menu and it's clear that Hometown Creamery prioritizes quality over quantity. They serve only 10 flavors, half of which are on a rotating basis. The cool thing though is that these flavors are SO UNIQUE. When we stopped by, they had options like their Surya's Sunshine and La Vie En Rose. Totally never heard of these before. In terms of size, there are like 5-6 different choices (both in cup or waffle cone). For those who are hangry, check out the 5-flavor option (aka the Flight). If you want something other than simple scoops of ice cream, Hometown Creamery also has some drinks, confections, and even sundaes. Personally, I thought prices here were pretty reasonable. Besides the Flight (~$12), don't expect to pay more than $6-7.

I'm sorry Mr42Watson, I am going to have to disagree with your statement. When I worked at Complete Nutrition next door, we lived at Menchies because it was so damn good! This is coming from someone who has tried all the other shops just like you.
If I could, I would rate the frozen yogurt 10 stars, the service is awesome, and you always have a smile on your face when you walk in.

I took my family on a Saturday early evening. We had fun and the frozen yogurt was tasty enough, but the staff (two at the registers) just talked to each other and greeted no one, and I had to interrupt their personal conversation to ask a question about how we pay for our order.

What kind of frozen yogurt do you want? Nobody asks you that question, instead you choose what you want! It's all out there for you to choose, the ice cream, the topping, you can even try a sample before you officially choose. I love that you can choose whatever you want and it wouldn't matter!

Store is awesome concept, but customers have no idea of what a line is. I was bumped around by other customers jumping back and forth to taste all flavors with their fingers. Store employees just looked on not wanting to tell customers they cant do that. I called store on Monday and spoke to Susan, who claimed to be the store manager. Said she was there at the mentioned time and saw nothing. You need to find away to keep customers moving in a line, like at the bank. Also have your employees tell people they can't use their fingers.....that is unsanitary!!

We really enjoy taking our kids here for a special dessert once in a while. The flavors vary every day and the people keep up the cleanliness of the store pretty well. I love the waffle cone topping bits and everything else you can add to your frozen yogurt base. All for .53 an ounce.

Many people will review the many flavors and toppings, but service is where I focus. There isn t enough room for larger families to flow through I witnessed, especially if you re a first-timer wanting to sample (which the sampling is a great option). People will get clogged behind waiting. Staff didn t talk during our visit; no eye contact, no hello, no have a nice day. No SERVICE. They do offer a couple of tables outside when it s nice. It s a full on do it yourself. I can weigh it myself and pay, similar to a Kroger self-checkout. Have fun.

This place is too small, not many selections as far as the froyo goes; however the peanut butter was delicious. Toppings are way too close together & with kids doing their own bowls? Expect to wait & step in a mess of toppings on the floor. Pricing is okay as long as you don't fill your bowl up! You'll be paying $10 for froyo!

This place is just adorable! I went here with my fiance for his birthday and they have at least 10 or so different flavors to choose from a wide variety of toppings and even fresh fruit! Since they go by weight depending it could get expensive if your in a larger group but other wise its good~ The service was amazing to both the associates were very kind and informitave. The only down side is the space to get your frozen treat is small so if a larger group comes in your kinda jammed.
