Well well well, where should I start?
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady on reception, she wears glasses and only does night shifts, her and the location is the only reason I am giving this hotel a 1 start.
One, As soon as we got into our room first thing we noticed is the beds are a twin single even though we booked and confirmed a double bed sea side view room. We didn t get a sea view room and we didn t get a double bed room. Upon raising the issue at the reception we were told they can t do anything and we had to just deal with it.
Two, although we didn t notice until next day but the room door was not locking at all and had to call maintenance the next day and we re presented with the most abrupt and rude receptionist it s as if she didn t care and kept rolling her eyes when I was raising the issue.
Three, the showers didn t have a glass door so every time we showered the toilet would get wet and become dangerously slippery.
Four, towels and bed sheets do not get changed or replaced instead they get folded back for reuse, I tested it my self with one of the towels and noticed the same towel being folded and reused.
Five, their breakfast has no variety and the same limited options every morning. I also had an encounter with one of the canteen staff where in the evening I approached him to get some tea and pay for it, he refused me service and asked me to go get an all inclusive food band, even though I said I would pay for the tea, I then had one of the receptionists come up to me and abruptly tell me three maybe four times that my booking is bed and breakfast only I kept repeating that I asked to pay for the tea until finally she said she would add it to my reservation bill. Never again had I asked for tea there, they charge double what you can get from the high street which is only 2 mins away from the hotel.
Six, they finally fixed the door lock from inside now the door stopped opening from outside and I would have to scan the card upto 6 sometimes 10 times to get the door to open from outside, I asked the receptionist with short hair twice to get the door fixed and it hasn t been fixed since.
Seven, the staff in general are not friendly at all, they do not want you to raise issues with them, considering it s 4* hotel service should be better.
I asked to speak to the manager 3 times to complain, he or she never seem to be available at all. I keep getting told come back tomorrow morning every day.
