Megson FitzPatrick Insurance Review

Bryce is the man that helped me renew my ICBC insurance today. He was very helpful and together we checked out a plan that was part ICBC and the rest private coverage. As it turned out the private insurance was going to cost me more than the totally ICBC plan. Bryce tried to save me some money, but in the end I had to go with the ICBC plan. I felt that he really tried to save me some money.

This branch has always been fast and efficient for me.

I needed to add a rider to my policy for jewelry. I dealt with Shelley. She completely took great care of my needs and made sure I purchased the appropriate insurance. I have only been dealing with Megson FitzPatrick for three years but its been an absolutely great experience to date.

We have been clients of Megson Fitzpatrick since 1983. They are very conscientious about making sure we get appropriate coverage at the best price. When we have had a claim, they ensured the insurance company responded quickly and followed up with us to make sure we are taken care of. We have never thought of dealing t another agent

The most unprofessional staff. They are very unhelpful and rude. Trying to get insurance through Chris and he sends an email for me to fill out and send back. When I call back 5 minutes later he s on lunch for the next hour. I got insurance here before but that was a long time ago and obviously staffed by different people now. I d go through ICBC if I were you. The staff memeber there Rebecca actually told me to do so.
-EDIT; To be fair, I left this review before I got a call back from Cole, who I believe is a supervisor there. I was still extremely frustrated from my earlier experience when I wrote this. Cole called me, and was very helpful, professional, and friendly. He solved the problem I was having and got me insurance that same day.
I forgot that I even left this review. I have changed my stars from 1 to 5. Thanks again Cole!

Friendly staff, rates are set by ICBC so really doesn't make much difference.

Renewing auto insurance by phone was easy! You book a time and they call you back the same day. Kimberly the agent was friendly and patient and helped me through step by step. The documents were sent to me and she went over it clearly and professionally. She had a good sense of humor and made renewing a breeze. I didn't have to drive in the snow and my decals will be mailed! Try this service!

We've dealt with Megson FitzPatrick for home onsurance for several years. W've always experienced prompt service and the agents are very knowledgable and helpful

AWFUL customer service at Megson Fitzpatrick. I got off work late so had to rush over to try to get to nearest Megson Fitzpatrick location before it closed at 5:00 pm. I arrived at 4:40 pm and the receptionist informs me "our agents are busy, they may not be able to help you before we close at 5". I stated that I arrived well before closing and that since my insurance expires in a few days over the weekend I won't be able to come back to renew. And yet the the receptionist told me "you can go to another of our locations open on weekends".

To compound this issue, understandably only 3 people can be inside waiting area due to Covid, however there was no one inside and the receptionist made me wait outside in the cold for over 10 minutes. Another customer arrived and she was let in and helped immediately. Simply unacceptable customer service. Luckily, I was able to call Hendry Swinton Mckenzie (HSM) Insurance and explained my predicament, the gentleman on the phone took my name and said he would help me renew my insurance as he had to stay later to finish up work anyways. I couldn't beleive it, I went to HSM Insurance, arrived after their closing time of 5:00 pm and I was still helped with exceptional service; they even put the sticker on my plate. I strongly recommend going there instead!!!

I had Michael help me at the Shelboune location last week - He was extremely friendly, helpful and patient as he took the time to answer all my questions on insurance options. I left with a good understanding of my coverage/rates which was much appreciated!

Smart Dolphins has been using MFI for our business insurance for many years and they have always been an incredibly valuable partner in our company. We have had a very comprehensive review of our business risks and have been advised where insurance was appropriate. Further, we've been guided to assess other risk mitigation strategies that have proven invaluable. We would highly recommend other local businesses talk to the folks at MFI to see what might help their business.

After dealing with Megson FitzPatrick for 8 years, customer loyalty doesnt mean much to this brokerage.

Since their merge they have lacked the ability to actually go understand our business with more than 6 account executives changing through out the years, its a nightmare to explain to every new account executive what our companies do.

When you dont understand a business you simply explain it wrong and get a completely wrong quote cause you are simply a broker.

We are moving all our business to HUB insurance and they really gave us the time to understand what we want.

These guys definitely care! Long story short, I had a complicated situation where I needed to purchase the insurance from another specific insurance broker in Victoria and they drove me there so I could get there before it closed

Megson FitzPatrick at Shelbourne is the best Insurance agent around. Super friendly and helpful staff. The car ownership transfer done in no time. I tried ICBC at Hillside day before but they have too many reasons not to provide a service (like "appointment only" and they were very close to store closing so they said that "will not have enough time for that").

Extremely helpful! Even though they didn't offer the type of insurance we were looking for they took the time to provide us with advice and alternative options, and then followed up with us so they could better help people with the same issues in the future.

I went here to transfer a truck into my name, after reading the reviews with such good things to say. I was not disappointed! I locked my keys in my truck, and they even leant me a coat hanger to get back in.

Buyer beware. Sold incorrect insurance. Costing me out of pocket.

I came in to the Shelborne location to get a quote for a new home in Rockland I had recently purchased and was treated to some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The nice receptionist had me sit in the agent's office, and when the agent came in she didn't even introduce herself before proceeding to make me feel as though I had no business being there. This was possibly one of the most condescending and snarky individuals that I've ever had to deal with. When I gave her the home inspectors report she read through it page by page and pointed out every deficiency that the inspector found, as if I hadn't read it myself. If I didn't know the answer to a question (ie are the outflow pipes galvanized or cast iron) she just scoffed at me with disgust. Her attitude was so poor that I ultimately got up, told her that her attitude was ridiculous, and simply left.

Never again will I use Megson FitzPatrick for any of my insurance needs. I've been using them for auto insurance for a few years, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere for this too.

The good folks at Megson's are always, helpful, accommodating & knowledgeable. They always try to get me the lowest rates available for my insurance needs. When I request an explanation they always provide an easy to understand( layman's terms) answer to my insurance queries.

I used the online form and they call you back. I recieved a call in less then 20 mins of hitting send on the form. The agent Kimberly, was patient and very professional. The service was fast and efficient and I will definitely use again!
