Mecure South Staffordshire Hatherton Country House Hotel Review

staff freindly enough but needs a refurb. Pool was closed until further notice.

Food needs to be consistently good, at times it is so tasty and we'll presented, other times it can be lacking flavour. Staff are friendly and the small bar sells reasonably priced alcohol.

Only walked passed it towards the train station. It doesn't look like a hotel more like a hospital

Not the best hotel. Hairs in bathroom for 2 days. Needs tlc as looks old + out dated. Nathan is an excellent bar man + waiter with a great personality. Close to the village + White Hart is a good local pub.

Pleasnt quirky hotel could do with some modernization and bringing into this century.

Rooms have started to be modernized but more work is needed on bathrooms

The hotel was OK. The photos that my partner sent me made it seem nicer than it is in reality. Once staying there, issues become apparent. No air conditioning, both hot and cold tap gave out hot water (reception said it shouldn't be doing that and gave us a jug of cold water), toilet roll not restocked, shower doesn't retain temperature and we also confirmed with a member of staff that check out was at 11am to hear when checking out, that it's not until midday. We paid extra for breakfast and it was terrible. Food was not cooked well or tasted good and they also had run out of hash browns, which we were not informed of until our food arrived. Would stay in the hotel again if no other option but given a choice, I would stay elsewhere.

Staff lovely but struggling with shabby rooms, bad plumbing and appalling food.

Asked for Payment when pre-booked and paid. Not the cleanest, in need of refurbishment, pretty drab

On arrival noticed Front doors are filthy! & windows throughout the hotel. Place needs a good clean! Rooms are spotless though.

the room was pretty average, needs some updating and a spring clean, staff are also nice apart from one receptionist I believe was called Sharon Wright who had a very cocky attitude and was huffing and puffing when I asked a simple question, won't be returning

All the so called spa facilities were turned off and absolutely disgusting wouldn't bath my dog in that pool!
How they dare call this a spa hotel is outrages if you want a bnb then yes the beds are comfy but do not think this is a spa hotel with a nice pool to relax in! It is a white DIRTY dated place!
Never again!

We stayed here last weekend, it was a nice little hotel.
Staff were friendly, we did have to ask for more pillows though!
We arrived mid afternoon on 23rd Sunday, the receptionist called through to our room to ask if we was wanting food as the kitchen staff were going to stay on, we liked that touch.
Hopefully it can be spruced up a bit when it has new owners

A tired old hotel in need of investment in its fabric and structure. The food, on the other hand was better than most hotel food!

Good location (5 min walk to centre) and friendly staff, but showing signs of wear and tear. The bar didn't accept putting drinks on room though
