Call them to confirm a prepaid pick up for the 9:00 am flight. The lady of the company ask us to leave the hotel at 5:00 am, 4 hours before flight. Because the employee who picked us from airport to hotel told us to leave hotel 3 hours before the flight when we came, I confirmed with lady again. She insisted to give us a shuttle 4 hours before flight. Then we reached the gate at 6:00 am, 3 hours before the flight. They just want to put several customers together to save their shuttles. I suggest to take taxi instead of shuttles to have flexible time.

Hired a couple of town cars to drive me around on a recent weekend trip to Orlando. The drivers were early each time, helpful, and courteous. Knowledgeable about getting around the Kissimmee area, and were able to answer questions I had about the area in general. Prices were good, not great, but I accept I was paying for the quality service over a basic taxi or low-budget operation.

Driver picked us up from the Orlando Airport he had zero personality. Did not smile once. We helped put the luggage in the van and had to open our own door. There were waters in the van that were warm but he never said we could have them. For paying for a personal shuttle I would had thought we would had a better personal experience The same driver picked us up. Again, we had to put the luggage in and open the door. He never smiled or said anything. He actually answered his cell phone while driving! I will not choose them again.

I had a wonderful experience with Mears. A colleague of mine and I used their services for a conference in Orlando. The shuttle service there and the car service back to the airport were both impeccable. I especially love Mears' embrace of technology. I received several confirmation texts throughout my use of their service, which gave me extra reassurance that everything was on time and in place (and it was!). I will definitely use them again when the need arises.

My sister and I are on vacation at Disney. Yesterday (almost midnight), we had 3 drivers treat us horribly. I hope Mears Transportation pulls up the video/recorders to hear how RUDE the drivers were to my sister and I. I asked the driver, Please don t talk to me like that. They wouldn t listen or help us. One of the bus drivers closed the doors in our face and turned off the lights in the bus- refusing to help us get back to our hotel. After I begged the man to help us (we had no clue how to get back to the hotel and there was no one else around to help), he drove off with no one in his bus. Mears ruined my vacation at Disney. The drivers are disrespectful and rude. The service is horrible. Very disappointed. :(

On a recent trip to Orlando Florida, with my family of 5 it was a pleasure to have a courteous and prompt car service greet me at the airport baggage claim with my name clearly displayed on an IPAD. I thought that was so professional. In addition as I exited the plane my phone alerted me to a message, and the driver "Simon" left me a message for indicating his location. The spacious Ford Expedition was clean and he had child booster seats all ready for us. I could not have had a better experience. I had my sister and her family use them also that trip on both arrival and departure. 5 stars !!!!!

We used Mears transportation services while in Orlando for the ANCC Magnet conference. They were very professional and had superb communication. They texted us our driver's information as we landed and he was waiting on us when we arrived to baggage claim. We felt very safe having this information before we got in the vehicle! Thanks so much!

Honestly, felt like a bait and switch. I was so pleased when I called the night before we needed a transfer from Disney to Universal. All I had to do was give the number of people and a pick up time. It was expensive, but our ages varied so we didn't want to mess with car seats and such--thought it would be worth it. Awesome personal shuttle to the park. The driver was wonderful! Then, as we got off his van, he handed me three blue cards and told us to call at least 2 hours before we were ready to be picked up. We had small kids and wanted to get them home right after lunch for a nap--called to get our ride back for part of the party. No go. They wouldn't pick anyone up before 3:15. First time anyone said a word to us about the restriction. Then the second crew calls and gets a ride arranged for 5:15. There is no shuttle like the ride that dropped us off--but instead a large bus. We get on a bus that is supposed to leave at 5:15. We don't leave until 5:30--and spent over an hour on the bus going from resort to resort to resort. They also didn't tell us that the ride back would be different from the ride up. Actually--they didn't tell us much of anything that would have made planning the transportation better. Really should have gone with an Uber...

They claimed guaranteed 20 minutes or less until the next shuttle. (I verified both when buying the ticket and when checking in at the podium.) Waited 40 minutes with people who had been there for even longer. The driver was very friendly, while redeemed the company slightly.

Ride never showed and somehow it was my fault for not knowing the type of car reserved wasn't available to go to the airport from Universal Studios in the early morning. But they were happy to charge my card the instant I made a reservation. Had to find a last minute Uber. Avoid.

The experience of which I will comment at this time, is about a taxi driver from Mears, who was harassing me and profaning threats and insults, for which I am going to file a civil lawsuit since said taxi driver dared to take photos of my enrollment claiming that I am a driver of UBER and that I was occupying an indeterminate position in the international outlet outlet in Orlando florida. This happened at 11:45 a.m. on July 8, 2018. It turns out that I was parked waiting for my wife to leave the outlet and for now I hear some loud blows coming from the back of my car, I immediately give myself of account that is this man who addresses me as if I were a driver of UBER insulting me, threatening me and taking pictures of the registration of my car, according to him to report me to the security agency that custody that site. Before my wife arrived at the place where I was, I got out of my car and took pictures of the taxi number and the registration to start a civil suit for damages and prejudice that may suffer in the future because of the negligence of one of its taxi drivers, when taking attributions that are not conferred to him. The characteristics of the car is a Toyota Sienna, with number 827 and the registration is Z87-BVP. I hope you take the necessary disciplinary measures with your taxi drivers so that these events do not tarnish the good work done by the other Mears Transportation members

Called for a guest. Waiting 5 minutes on hold. Driver shows up slows down in front of restaurant...doesnt even stop....and just drives away. Had to call again, wait several more minutes.....uber next time. Sorry Mears I am way too busy for that.

Driver of car 724 at Disney Riverside just cut around me in the parking lot trying to pass the car ahead of me. So when I didn t see him driving through the parking spaces , when I went to turn in and almost hit me. Then he parked and waited for me to go inside the resort and then got out and acted like he was going to intimadate me by waking behind me and trying to stare me down..lol he then turned around when I walked inside the resort. Doing things like that could be hazardous to your health one day. As far as a company, don t know? But if they re anything like their drivers, find someone else.

Used Mears Transportation June 2013 and loved it! I received confirmation texts and emails. I booked it from Disney hotel to airport. The driver was very helpful and friendly. The driver was there 30 min scheduled pickup time. Will definitely be using this service for future needs.

I cannot stress how unsafe I felt as I was picked up from Epcot at Disney World. My sister and I asked at our stop if that was the right bus to get back to our hotel, and we were given which we would later find out were wrong directions by two drivers (although these drivers were very nice about it). We sat to wait for the next bus, which we were told would get us to our hotel. When the bus arrived, we asked if it was going to our hotel, and the driver began to yell at us why we did not get on the previous two buses. We explained that they told us that they were not going to our hotel, but he refused to take that as a reason. He demanded to know our hotel address, and I looked it up while he continued yelling at my sister. I finally got it up and he was still fussing that we were supposed to get on one of the previous buses even though they told us it was not going to our hotel. I was crying when we stepped off the bus. He shut the door on us and turned off the lights. We tried to ask him more questions about where to go, but he refused to answer. We were alone at the bus stop, and I was extremely scared. Another driver walked over, and we went to talk to her, only to find out that she came to fuss at us too. We couldn t understand her, and we still had no idea what we were supposed to do. The rude driver drove off with no one on the bus as we were speaking to the woman. Luckily, another driver very reluctantly offered to drive us to our hotel (by honking at us while speaking to the woman driver); however, my sister and I felt completely unsafe and very upset. I truly hope no one has to go through what we did that night.

I have always utilized Mears for business related transportation services. However, this was the first time I had used Mears for my personal use. I called the toll-free number around midnight and spoke to someone almost immediately. I needed to arrange for last minute pickup at the airport for a delayed flight from NYC due to inclement weather. They picked me up on time (about 2 hours later at 2:15am), drove me to the airport, picked up my friend, dropped her off at her destination and then drove me back home. The driver was fantastic! I would love to have a driver all the time! Come one Powerball......I would hire Robert W. immediately! Thanks.

Mears Transportation provided excellent service. We booked our reservations online, received confirmations 24 hours prior to service. The Mears representatives were professional and courteous. Our return flight was delayed and Mears was informed and their rep was waiting for us when we landed over an hour later than expected. We won't hesitate to call again for our next trip!

Avoid this company and especially my driver. His number is 19346000. I needed a taxi to the airport. I called this company and they sent me a car. The distance from where I was to the airport was maybe 6 miles in total. The surface streets would be the best way to go at this distance. The driver without asking me or telling me decided to take the toll road so he can force me to pay tolls. Luckily I saw this trick and immediately told the driver that I didn't want to use the toll road and that he should get back on the streets. There was one last exit before we were charged the toll and he got off there. If a driver just decides to take the toll roads without asking that is a total scam and this driver and company should be avoided at all cost. Last time I call this taxi company. Scam!

Worst cab service ever!!! First time i rode the driver never started the meter and over charged is because i paid with cash. Second time i attempted to use mears 2 cabs denied me and my family service because we were using a credit card to pay. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Download lyft or uber or anything else is literally better than this horrible excuse of a taxi service.

I called an hour and half before I needed to be picked up to go to a concert 3 miles away from the Amway Arena. We began to worry since no one was being assigned to us. We finally had someone pick us up 25 minutes after the time we wanted to leave. Then the guy that did drive us took the long route to get there. Ummm, helloooo, i live here, I know how to get to the Arena so it wasnt a 7 mile drive.... bad move. Never use you guys again.

MEARS equates to rip-off! A driver decided, after my mothers debit card wasn't working, decided to take her across town to her location, pressure her into asking her friends for the money and basically harassing a 78 year old woman, who apparently has difficulties. She has a hard time walking and has the beginning of dementia. Anyone with an eye, can see she was very vulnerable. I had to call and ask the driver to stop calling her and deal with me. He charged her $230 because through "all of his help": taking her to casselbery, wawa (to the cash machine), and back home to Zellwood, he left the meter running. So, MEARS, your office will be getting a phone call from me tomorrow regarding this situation in which you called the cops on a 78 yr old woman, who at least gave the driver a check in good faith. If that's not taking advantage of the elderly, then I give up. We will NEVER suggest or use your services again. You have a great day! Oh, and I wasn't giving any stars but you can't post without at least one.

I called at 8:10 pm to get a pick up from a Wal-Mart to my motel and waited for 2 hours for a cab. Of course i called time after time to make sure everything was okay, they kept getting my address wrong and when i tried to express my displeasure ive even had someone laugh at me and tell me they wouldnt send a cab because i was disrespectful and i was being unnecessary. It is very cold tonight, if i become sick and unable to provide for my family, mears will be contacted by my lawyers for causing meunnecessary stress. This was beyond unacceptable, i have used mears taxi since i came to Florida and i am shocked by this treatment.

Never on time! If you stay at a hotel on Disney property but not an official Wdw resort you will have no other shuttle option. Expect to wait 1-3 hours every day in a parking lot. Shuttle service is never on time and they lie about frequency. They are short staffed and do not provide the required service to the hotels. It is a real shame because it reflects poorly on the hotel that you will pay a 'resort fee' to.

The first night we waited 65 minutes for a shuttle that was suppose to run every 30 minutes.

The second night we waited 75 minutes for a shuttle that was suppose to run every 30 minutes.

The third night we waited 92 minutes in the rain (30 mins service claimed). We should have taken a cab... but when you pay a $25 per day 'resort fee' for the shuttle service taking cabs adds up quick.

The fourth day the shuttle was 20 mins late for pick up in the am, but amazingly only 15 minutes late at night.

When you call Mears to ask where the shuttle is they will always say you just missed it. The 30+ people you are waiting with provide enough proof that Mears lies.

Mears transportation took me from and to airport on Disney world trip. Driver Robert was earlier than expected but gave us time to check out of hotel and waited patiently as my son had stomach issues. He told us great stories about servicing the NBA bubble. Great service to end our vacation.

I used Mears Transportation Services in March 2013 in Orlando. I was going to Florida by myself for the first time and was very nervous. At 20 years old I thought it would be best to have a personal car instead of trying to figure out the shuttle or taxi service.
The driver was waiting patiently for me with a sign and helped carry my luggage. He opened the door for me and engaged in small talk while we rode. I loved the car, it smelled surprisingly good. I felt safe with him and asked if I could have him as my driver at the end of my stay for my return ride back to the airport; he arranged to have that happen.
At the end of of my trip he was waiting patiently for me outside of my hotel.
I sent a letter to Mears shortly after arriving home to express my gratiude and thanks for providing such excellent service. I'll be using them again at the end of January and even requested the same driver.

My family and I visited Orlando last week and used the Mears shuttles and had The Best experience from the moment we were picked up from the airport! One driver in particular, Mr. M. Rodriguez, went above and beyond in a shuttle ride from our hotel to Magic Kingdom. Thank you for your Awesome service!!

I scheduled my return ride to the airport the day ...

I scheduled my return ride to the airport the day before, as directed. I was outside my hotel 5 minutes before the scheduled time. I called Mears after waiting 10 minutes beyond the scheduled time and was told the driver is running late. I called again when no one came after 25 minutes and was told I was marked as a no-show a few minutes prior. I had not moved, no shuttle stopped in front of the hotel, and no one attempted to call me. I took an Uber instead. Now, I am being told I have to email my receipt to them in order to get a refund.

I work with this group both online and by phone for my boss who lives in the Orlando area. She has an extremely hectic, fluid schedule and I am challenged with making reservations at the last minute, and changes at the last second. Mears is extremely responsive and helpful every time. Their website makes it very easy for me to make reservations for her at my convenience, without having to wait to get someone on the phone during their business hours. I can request specific drivers and they go out of their way to accommodate those requests. I highly recommend them if you have ground transportation needs!

Idiots. Called the night before to get a morning taxi to the airport. It's a new development and to call once inside the neighborhood. Day of theyre 14 min late, spoke with 3 different dispacthers during this chirade. The driver of the taxi phone dies????? You mean you're a driver and you don't have a reliable phone charger? His excuse is this neighborhood isn't in his GPS, well duh its a new neighborhood. The 3 dispacthers spoken to should've told you that. A taxi company that doesn't know of any new developments coming or present in the city you operate in is just plain ridiculous. There's no way you guys have driven around the city and hadn't noticed anything new in development. Then you expect someone to tip you???? Cursing because youre not getting a tip? Tell me why pulling out of the neighborhood this guy takes the wrong turn after being told the airport is in the opposite direction??? Idiots.

Mears picks you up and drops you at your door in LESS time than the shuttle, for the SAME OR LESS price (depending on your group size - we had 4), and it's SAFER than the public city bus (and way more comfortable when carrying luggage!). Leon was our driver from the airport and he was fabulous. Got a text from him when we landed so we knew where to meet him, and we had a swift, comfy ride to our hotel. Thanks Leon! Will definitely use Mears again when in the Orlando area.

Charged us $72 to go from airport to hotel. Driver intentionally got off of the highway in order to take longer and charge more. We took several taxis from other companies during our stay. Not one used the side roads. On our final day we took another company and were charged $40 to go to the airport. Driver was nice, but this is not fair pricing.Buyer be ware.

Update with info for response from owner: date April 1 roughly 8 pm. Van did not have markings or a number that I saw. We were taken to the BW Buena Vista.

Okay so twice I have called to schedule a taxi. The first time I called I wanted to schedule a taxi for 11:15pm that same night. So 11:15 comes around no taxi wait till 11:45 no taxi. I gave up then and walked home. Come to find out the taxi shows up 2 days later the way I know is I got the alert on my phone stating he has arrived . So now it's a few days later and I called so get a taxi. I had to call twice. The dispatcher was rude as can be giving me attitude. I hung up on her I call again a few mins later and got a different dispatcher and she too, was rude. I haven't had a good experience yet. I am disappointed in the service and I haven't even sat in the taxi....I probs won't be using this service again. I am extremely pissed that after a long day I don't even get a break with a ride home with good service and that shows up on Time

Useless 7 years ago. No better now. Had major issues with these guys as an airport shuttle years ago. Then today they proved that they still can't get it right. Booked a return to Universal 2 days ago. Pick was at 8.45am. By 9.05 I decided to ring. The lady said I just missed him. How I'm not sure as I was waiting at the pick up point from 8.30. I spent 10 minutes on the phone while she booked another. Was told he would be here in 10 minutes. Went back to collection point. By 10.10 I gave up and used Uber. Never again will I use this company. They are the worst

If you need ADA assistance, wheelchair for a someone who can not transfer- This company doesn t even deserve a one. Disney called Mears to set up. To go from The Contemporary to travel to Wilderness Lodge after 11:30 on 1/10/2020. We had a group of ten, so we needed two vehicles one being ADA. One van arrived which was not accessible. The man was very rude and a proceeded to talk to a coworker and I overheard him say. No one is going to pick up this fare for only $20. Disney tried to call the company back and no one would even pick up the phone. We sent most of the group in the van just to get them back, which Mears doesn t even deserve the money for this fare. Way to make a handicap individual suffer because you refused to service the handicapped. Completely appalled.

Really the worst customer service in Orlando. Overpriced and not concerned with the welfare of you or your family. This is exactly why Uber will run them out of business eventually. Their "app" is inefficient and not up to date. We spent more time talking the driver through the fact that we already paid through the so called "app" then we did driving to our destination. Time will tell of course, but the clock is ticking on these clowns. Their hotel "contracts" are soon to be obsolete. Avoid the aggrevation for you and your family, don't listen to the hotel recommendation; they are clearly on the payroll.

we called 10 minutes after our pick up time and these idiots didn t even have a car sent. i could care less about your technical difficulty this is 2019. we just called an uber to get to the airport because Mirrors said it would be another hour. absolutely inexcusable. save you and your family stress and time. hopefully we make our flight.

I had the best ride this morning from Rosen Shingle Creek to MCO airport. The driver (whose name I cannot recall) really worked hard to give us actionable information at the airport. In particular, he advised us to see if we could get an earlier flight which worked out well for me. I would not have known this tip without his advice. Other good advice;
1. Come to MCO in May, best prices and shortest lines
2. Come and go to MCO before 2 pm because of traffic and frequent last afternoon weather.
3. If you have to wait at MCO, do it before you get on the people mover. More shopping, restaurants and wifi.

I will be taking Mears in the future!

2 out the 4 times we've taken the taxi, the drivers have had piss poor attitudes. First was unhappy about the short $7.20 fare from universal. The second got into a argument because the other taxi picked up a Disney fare. Instead he got us. Both times we tipped $5+ to try and help. Save yourself the poor attitudes and take an Uber. Our uber trip was about $11 for the same trip but I didn't have to tip a driver who wasn't accountable for their own attitude. At least uber drivers are rated and seem to enjoy any business they get. Ubering for us from here on out.

I have used Mears transportation more times than I can count for my business as a Disney Travel Agent. The drivers have always treated my clients with respect, have shown up early for their pick up, and have maintained professional contact before the scheduled pick up time. I will continue to use Mears Transportation in the future and will recommend them to fellow travel agents and friends.

I even paid for an personal assistant to help us navigate thru airport which was an waste because they should be there when u step off the plane to assist you to baggage claim. Once we arrived to lower level we was told that we had to wait for an van to come and pick us up. Now why? I prebooked on line ahead of time. Mears knew what timed our plane landed so why we was forced to wait for 20 minutes in the heat. 2 little shuttle showed up which mean our group to split up. Driver didnt even have correct resort we was staying at. And of course they drop half my family members off at the wrong hotel. Its been an entire week and still waiting for an supervisor to call me back. Please dont waste yall money and book with them. Please find another airport shuttle for your family if you dont want to be overcharged..left in the heat and lost. Bad company.

I had booked Mears Transportation for a client staying on site at Disney and going for the day to Universal. My clients absolutely loved the transfer. They were waiting outside their hotel at the time of pick up. They were right there at the entrance of Universal on time and easily seen for the ride back. We did this 3 days and the service was absolutely fabulous. I booked my clients with their online product and it was so easy. I will be using them in the future.

During the week of Christmas me and my family visited Orlando and used Mears Transportation due to them being the only company available to transport scooters and our family of six. I gave two stars because out of the eight drivers we used only three were very helpful and patient. Friday Dec 27th was the worst experience with Mears. I called the company around 6:30 pm and was told that our driver would arrive shortly. A few minutes passed I didn't receive a text or call so I called back and was told that the driver will arrive in 14 minutes. 20 minutes passed, no driver. I called back and was told that driver should have arrived so then I was transferred to dispatch whom told me that they are having an issue with finding a driver with a carseat (which this has not been a problem since our stay so I am thinking it's an issue with the scooter) and that it could be hours. So now it raining I have two small children, two teenagers, and an elderly individual stranded with me in the rain. I call other companies who refer me to Mears because of the scooter. At this time it has been two hours. I call Mears back to check the status and requested for someone to pick me up to go back to the hotel to retrieve my own carseat as well as take my children and mom back. As soon as the lady whom assisted me for almost an hour on the phone reserved a ride the van pulled up in five minutes. And we convinced him to transport the scooter. If you are traveling with a handicap individual that uses a scooter I would not recommend this company. I would suggest finding another company.

I can not recommend Mears more highly. We chose the luxury sedan option, as it was not that much more expensive than a regular taxi. We were met at baggage collection at Orlando airport by a fabulous driver who helped with bags, and was extremely personable. We continued to use this service for the 7 days we were on holiday as it was just so reliable, and the vehicles were just luxurious. We were able to be picked up at hotel, taken to destination and then picked up again at agreed time. We were even able to adjust timing by txting driver.

A wonderful service, which we will definitely use again in the future.

Last Fall, we traveled to Orlando for a family vacation. We used Mears the entire trip, from the airport to the parks and back. From the reservation process before the trip to the service by our drivers...it was a great experience. The email and text confirmations are a great service. I highly recommend using Mears when in Orlando, or if you are traveling elsewhere where they provide service.

I was quoted the night prior for transportation from the Disney swan to MCO at a ball park rate of $51-55 depending on traffic. There was Zero traffic at 5:45am Monday morning. We pulled out at 5:45am per scheduled pick up. Rate upon airport arrival-$62 plus tolls. Driver, who was great, said this happens ALL THE TIME! I called and Mears had several excuses about the fair being an estimate/based on routes, traffic, blah blah. Being $8-11 dollars off or roughly 20% is a pretty big miss and as stated before, the driver said it happens daily so they know they are misquoting on a regular basis. I called back for a quote after the ride and the rep gave me the same $51-55 that I was quoted the night before. Mears LIES. PLAIN AND SIMPLE and there is a clear pattern based on driver feedback.

I read a lot of bad reviews for Mears and a lot of...

I read a lot of bad reviews for Mears and a lot of good reviews for Mears. So I was apprehensive. However, as soon as we landed at MCO, Rami our driver, texted me to let me know exactly where he was and that he would be waiting. He had an iPad with my name on it at baggage claim. Super easy. He loaded up our luggage and took us straight to Loews Royal Pacific.
After he dropped us off, he asked to make sure we had booked a return trip from Royal Pacific back to MCO at the end of our vacation. We had already booked it, but I requested that he be the driver again. On Friday, our pickup time was 1:00pm, at 12:49 Rami texted to let us know he was outside waiting. Loaded luggage again and safely got us to the airport.
Communication from Mears and Rami was excellent. If you order the Luxury van, it s a breeze and I d do it again. Rami was great if you get him as a driver.

This has been the worst ride I ve ever taking period!!!!! The driver disrespectful, car needed cleaning and he stayed on his phone while driving. Glad he slowed down though while he was on his phone at least. Anyways, should ve check the reviews first!!! Taxi# 29 needs help.....
