Mears Transportation Group Review

I was very unsatisfied with this companys service I waited two hours for a taxi cab , called repeatedly and the representatives came off very nonchalant to my situation, after being brushed off numerous of times I was able to speak to the supervisor and he gave me the run around then told me I would still have to pay $25 for a ride ! I am very disappointed in Mears Transportation and I would never recommend theses services to anyone ever again !

Got a ride the first night from Universal Studios to our hotel (1 mile) for $4.80 with another taxi service (no complaint... fair price.) I used this service for the same route on our second night and the driver charged us $10 and did not run the meter. He said that was the flat rate. I questioned him and he wouldn t budge on the price. Not to mention he ran a red light that had not just turned red. I will NOT be using them again!

We used Mears while in Orlando FL. They met us at the airport, helped us with our luggage and took us to the hotel. The driver was very kind and spoke with us and answered all our questions. The vehicle was very clean and nice, it was a large black SUV. When we pulled up at the hotel, we couldn't help but smile....made us feel like we were someone important lol! They are independent drivers, so the gentleman that picked us up at the hotel to take us back to the airport was a different driver and vehicle. There was no difference, he was super nice, we apologized that it was 5:00am and hated to have him pick us up early, did not bother him at all, he was happy to do so.

It was simple and easy. Used them in 2012 and in Dec 2013. They dropped us off at Universal Studios hotel and picked us up from Animal Kingdom Lodge. We had a private sedan and we were able to make the schedule and tell them when to pick us up. They were right on time and even cheaper than a taxi. Will use them again!

The driver of taxi #1845 was a complete and total asshat. Almost got into 3 collisions tonight alone or our way back. Speeding and not paying attention to the road, more to his phone drive didn't know where he was going

First time user , I ve used Mears Transportation twice ... took the shuttle from MCO to Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress upon arrival. Called for a shuttle return from the HRGC back to Mco , however I was upgraded to a luxury limousine! For the same price as the shuttle! My driver was professional and awesome! I love this Company!

This has been the worst ride I ve ever taking period!!!!! The driver disrespectful, car needed cleaning and he stayed on his phone while driving. Glad he slowed down though while he was on his phone at least. Anyways, should ve check the reviews first!!! Taxi# 29 needs help.....

I have used Mears several times while travelling in the Orlando area and not renting a car. My car and driver are always on time and they transport me to my destination without any issues. The cars are clean and the drivers are professional.

Very good. Our plane was more than an hour late and got off the plane to pick up the luggage. The car arrived in less than 10 minutes. When you go back, because the carpooling time is wrong, upgrade the suv car for free. As peers, it is worth learning for us to give them a big praise for their profession.

They stranded us at the Sapphire falls today, grabbed an Uber. Never use them again 100% ripoff.

Excellent, excellent!!! Parked my car at Disney Springs and took a Mears taxi to Epcot. Much better than driving to the park. Came back the same way. Very convenient and reasonably priced. Leave the driving to Mears. They are pros.

website wouldn't work to select city. plan B . called, the second they answered , disconnected. called 10 min later, now I had to wait on hold, the second the person said his name .... yup, disconnected. giving my money to someone else now.

Great service and price. Drivers were friendly and professional. The price was lower than comparable transportation services. The customer service from beginning of our trip to the end of our trip was wonderful.

We used Mears twice during our recent Disney World trip and both experiences were exceptional. Our drivers were on time, the vehicles were nice and they drove us to our destination safely. When I've used other transport such as Uber or Lyft, occasionally the drivers are scary, but our Mears drivers were great. I would 100% recommend and will use them again!

waited 40 minutes to be picked up then was in the shuttle for over an hour. Very fast driving, felt sick when finally made it to my destination

The cars are filthy. The drivers are professional except for one who personally insulted me.

We use Mears every time we go to Orlando to take us from the airport Disney World. They are always waiting for us at the escalator, already know where our luggage will be coming out, and help us out to the car. They have a great place that only car services are allowed to park that is not crowded and no traffic to wait in to get out. The usually have bottles of water waiting in the car for us. They are most often more reasonable than other places and based on our experiences there's no reason to risk unreliability with another company. This is the only company I will use for my Orlando Towncar and SUV service.

Tremendous service. Plane was 45 mins early and as soon as my phone was off airplane mode there was a text that the driver was ready at the bottom of the stairs so I asked how he there so early and was told they track the flights. Car was very comfortable. Had cold water. A++ service. I spent extra for the private car. Best money I've spent in a while.

On our 11/17/2019 trip there was Zero customer service, long wait, and the driver couldn t have been more miserable. Gave 2 stars because the driver for our return to the airport on 11/20/2019 was very kind. Has she been the one we dealt with first it would have been a much better experience. It does not pay to employ staff with terrible customer service.

The driver picked us up from our hotel right on time. He was courteous, professional, and very helpful. We got to the airport and got all our bags out for our entire family and after getting into the airport we realized one bag got left in the van. We immediately called the driver and he was so quick to bring it back around to make sure we had it and had plenty of time to make it flight. I highly recommend this service, and would definitely use them again.

Mears picks you up and drops you at your door in LESS time than the shuttle, for the SAME OR LESS price (depending on your group size - we had 4), and it's SAFER than the public city bus (and way more comfortable when carrying luggage!). Leon was our driver from the airport and he was fabulous. Got a text from him when we landed so we knew where to meet him, and we had a swift, comfy ride to our hotel. Thanks Leon! Will definitely use Mears again when in the Orlando area.

My trip with Mears Transportation on 11/30/16 from Orlando Airport to my hotel was great! My driver Emmanuel was very courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. But my experience on the return trip from my hotel to the airport was HORRIBLE! First they went to the wrong hotel, I would not have known had I not called to see why they were over 10 minutes late and was told they were going to send a Mears Taxi and I would go directly to the airport. WELLLL I had to call back and was told the taxi was near. Once the taxi arrived I had to put my own suitcase in the car because she was NOT getting out of that car and to make matters worse she was eating and I had to smell her food. I'm not hard to please but this experience really tried me.

Had a very rude lady answer the phone she speaks English and Spanish but didn t understand either. Our driver was very kind and respectful though.

Extremely disappointed and disgusted with this company, there is an employee that works at the Mears office 324 West Gore Street Orlando, FL 32806. This employee works in the receiving department as she is the one who signs for the bus parts that come in. On multiple occasions not only has been rude to husband but she has also made racial remarks by referring to him as the "black boy" and most recently also by referring to him as a "nobody. While i'm very familiar with the history Mears has had in Orlando and it's previous involvement in legal situations that took place back in 1980's. I am curious to know why they would be so willing to once again jeopardize their reputation for the ignorance of one employee. Until this matter is resolved I will reach out to social media, news stations, radio stations, and advise other potential customers of the discrimination they can be exposed to while dealing with Mears.

Mears gave me fantastic service for a very awesome time in my life. I just proposed to my girlfriend down at Disney world and I trusted Mears with my transportation needs. They were a great help, friendly, and professional. You can trust them too!

I used Mears Car service from Orlando Airport to hotel and loved it.I booked online before my trip. The driver was waiting by baggage claim holding a sign with my name. Helped with the luggage to the car which was right outside door. I also used the car service to pick up from hotel and take me to the airport. He was wait at hotel at the time I requested. I received a text when he arrived. Nice and stress free. I have used the car service about 4 times now and like it better then the shuttle.

Don't be swindled by this company. They quoted $52 for a van from our hotel to the airport. We gave all pertinent information for an accurate quote and they assured us it would be $52. When we got to the airport the total was $68. Uber was $48 & Lyft was $43 when I checked. I would never use Mears over Uber or Lyft again.
