What a great organization. Feeding the homebound. I stopped by to volunteer. It takes five hundred volunteers per day to get those meals out. Do your best to volunteer or donate to this organization. You never know, it might be you that needs it one day.

I got the opportunity to intern here, throughout that time I learned all about the organization and got to witness the amazing things they do. This is a great place to volunteer for anyone who wants to contribute to the community.

The staff and volunteers there are excellent & really do the best they can to help people in a potentially very vulnerable period in their lives. Their good work continues w/ home contactless delivery and calls to seniors to check in on them.

I have been driving for MOWP for several months now and really love "my" clients. I have learned a lot about life through them. More lately, I also started volunteering at their headquarters and main kitchen in Multnomah Village. Different experience, same great organization!

The meals on wheels on MLK Blvd. is a horrible place to eat. The white people on the staff there are very racist.
Twice in one year, the white people on the staff have accused me of being involved in fights, arguments, that has nothing to do with me.
Fri, July 13th at 11:50am, I walked into meals on wheels , sat down at back table which was a man sitting on one side of the table with acup of coffee.
In less than 5 minutes a man in a wheelchair rolled over to the table which I had just sat down at started ranting and raving about a cup of coffee, he said I was sitting here, I apologized got up and he said go ahead and sit there, he went back to another table where his wife was sitting and then a staff member sitting at another table, started accusing me of taking this man's cup of coffee then he said " I should have known this person was sitting there.
I got upset, said a few angry words, lost my appetite, started to get physically and emotionally sick, I got up and left and I have no plans of ever going to another meals on wheels or participate in any activities they offer senior citizens.
