Purchased my first home with the help of Meadowbrook. Fantastic experience. Jim Flaherty was always available for any questions I had and walked me through every step of the way. Couldn t be happier with the service!

If you're selling your home and the buyer says they are using Meadowbrook run the other way. This company made numerous promises and dragged the process on for 5 months and never gave a commitment or denial. I finally had to have the contact made null and void so I could relist my home. The loan officer Teddy kept making promises of "one more piece of paper and just a few more days" over and over. Cost me thousands of dollars in late fees on my new home which I almost lost. Had to borrow from my IRA to purchase the new home cash which almost cost me an additional $150,000 in taxes. It was a total nightmare. Was lied to and told buyers had great credit and Teddy always gets all of his loans approved. Not so, house was appraised in August and I waited till January, still no commitment or denial. Any other bank would have cancelled the deal no later than October. DO NOT USE OR BELIEVE MEADOWBROOK. Save yourself a ton of problems. There's plenty of other bank out there.

My loan officer, Rajin Ramdehall, did an excellent job addressing all my concerns and making this entire process easy. Most of the paperwork was done thru the companies APP which made the entire process quick and painless, especially during this COVID pandemic. Thank you very much Rajin for all your help.

Basically after 3 months of my mortgage being "on hold" due to the economic crisis, my broker tried to pull a bait-and-switch with me whereby he insisted that I pay 1 point for the mortgage to go through.

When we negotiated the terms there were no points; and then 3 months later after paying $850 for an appraisal and wasting my time the broker insisted I pay a point. Also, his math skills were completely lacking and he couldn't figure out the very simplest of things like the amount of interest to be paid over the life of the loan; or how long it would take me to pay off my previous mortgage. Despite his arrogance, and his insistence that he had "19 years in the business" and that "numbers don't lie" - in the end either he had no grasp on the way mortgages work -OR- he was just a first class shyster. When all was said and done, I have come to the conclusion that it was probably a little bit of both.

On the other hand, once I was able to work out the problems resulting from the bait-and-switch, I found Meadowbrook's legal team to be excellent. Overall, I found the lawyer with whom I worked to be very professional, courteous and pleasant. If only the broker had been the same...

Kept getting delayed because of paperwork. Now this, then that. Couldn't just get it all done at once. Always seemed like there was another piece of paperwork to fill out or sign before getting the clear to close. Did not work with us due to our being over-the-road truckers and being home only once every 3-4 weeks. Did not feel like they cared about making us feel good about our experience. Would have switched to another company if not for the fact we had done so much already on a house we wanted.

Patient, accountable, credible, honest, informative - are a few words to describe Rajin, and how he treats EVERY family. I've known Rajin for upwards of 7 years. When the time came for my family to purchase our first home, there wasn't another person I considered to trust with our future other than Rajin. It's difficult to say just how much he does for a first time home buyer - but he's the perfect balance of expertise with compassion. I came with questions frequently, and was always met with a willingness to understand and an ability to inform. I left every interaction with Rajin in a better place than before the call. He is a true professional that cares.

I am a first-time purchaser and I was referred to Dylan Jodah. Dylan was such a lifeline throughout the entire process. He was there for me with answers and suggestions and reassurance every time I had a question(which was countless time). He and his team were simply amazing, they worked tirelessly to meet an impossible deadline I had. I cannot thank these guys enough. Do not recommend. Mortgage rep (LQ) led my buyer on for weeks with untruthful statements which delayed our closing. Every week we were going to have the clear to close...and every week there was a delay. We begged our buyer to go with a legitimate company. Meadowbrook told us until the end saying they had the clear to close, even the day they were fired. They didn't. It was impossible as there were too many documents they neglected to ask my buyer for that should have been asked for upfront in the beginning that their staff never even got to. When finally we told our buyer to change, or we would cancel contract, he did and within 5 days the legitimate Mortgage broker had us closed! He worked hard but he did it....Meadowbrook failed everyone. Do not use them.

They contacted me claiming I applied for a loan. I informed them I did no such thing, that it was fraud. They didn't apologize or even seem concerned. Instead they were rude. Why would I trust my financial information with a company that isn't concerned with identity theft?

Darren Lum was my mortgage adviser for our first home in Levittown that we purchased on February 4 2021. It was an incredibly complicated and at times, difficult transaction. Mainly, this was due to the seller's probate . There were plenty of occasions when it looked as though the chances of ultimately owning the house were between slim and none due to the hurdles we were going through with the seller. It is without any question that the reason we own this house today is because of Darren Lum. There is simply no possible way this outcome would have been reached if he were not gently steering all parties by his countless calls, messages, updates and most critically, his very sound advice. He is a first class professional whose trust he carefully earned and will keep for many years to come. After the experience we just came through together, I would not consider working with anyone else for a mortgage. Thank you Darren for all you have done.

I asked Joe Peres from MeadowBrook Financial Mortgage Bankers at westbury to issue a denial letter a month and the company hasn t issue this letter. I ve been trying to reach Joe for over month and now he doesn t answer my text, phone calls or emails. This experience has been frustrating and very unprofessional from MeadowBrook. I have reported this company to the BBB and NYS licensing department because they have put me in a position where I can lose my deposit as a result of breach of contract because MeadowBrook hasn t issue the denial letter. I have learned my lesson to never work with a loan officers and realtors who know each other (like in this case) because I feel that MeadowBrook has created a conflict of interest hence why I m not getting my denial letter. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

People be careful - look elsewhere for a loan because if something goes wrong with the process you may be facing a similar situation with this company.

I worked with Cornelius on getting a loan for my first home and I must say that he and Meadowbrook Financial as a whole were nothing short of amazing. After an extra month of delays due to delays from the economic crisis this bank pulls a Bait and switch right before closing . I was advised no additional fees , I was completely under duress with this loan due to the timing delays and my buyers on my sale needing me out . When I reviewed saw commitment fee of $795.00 I was not advised of and an additional title review fee $400 plus the $895.00 application fee. I reached out at the loan officer at the attorneys office and was advised it would be handled and returned. I followed up with manager Steve who then advised nothing he could do that these fees are charged to everyone. I advised my attorney said they were excessive and the fact that I was not made aware of and then told would be refunded is deceptive. I would definitely not recommend using the services at this bank after this horrifying experience. Consumers beware!

Dealing with your financial institution has been the best experience I could ever receive. Especially Giulio Napoli was the most patient and informative Production Coordinating Manager I have ever dealt with in my experience when purchasing a home. I will definitely refer him to anyone that I know that is looking to purchase a home.

THE worst experience ever. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They totally left me hanging and I wish I never started the process.

Used Damon from Meadowbrook first for a refinance in 2011, based off of an initial cold call. It was such a positive experience that I used him again for a home purchase in December 2017. During the home purchase we encountered some bumps in the road with the seller. Damon was patient with our situation and diligent with his responsibilities.

I referred Damon to a co-worker who also used him on a refinance, saving nearly $500 a month!
I am continually referring him to friends and family.
