MCL Motor Cars Review

I would advise anyone doing business with Land Rover Vancouver and MCL to be very weary of their leasing practices. They do not honor the signed lease and hit you with a huge undisclosed Lease Buyout Fee at the end of the contract. They tell you return the car or pay the fee, which you have no option to pay or you lose your car. They are extremely smug about it as they have you over a barrel as you can only buy the lease out through the Land Rover dealer.

I am actually having to file through the vehicle ombudsman and the courts to get the terms of my lease upheld and the undisclosed fee returned. They actually believe people have no recourse when given the ultimatum above. With MCL there is no option to buyout your car as per the lease terms you have signed, they are only interested in deceiving their customers for profit.

Stating that a consumer must pay for an inspection or any extra fees, when they do not, is a deceptive act.

In all honestly it pains me to write a review such as this. The sales team is wonderful, and many of them are friends of mine. However, their business office manager ERIC LAW, incompetent, arrogant, his attitude is completely vile and inconsiderate of the customer.

Needed to do a lease transfer messed up my application 3 times, had to spend time to come down to the dealer 3 times to resign papers. Today was the third day. He lied to his peers and to his superiors saying that he called me about the mistake and apologized to me personally. He never contacted me EVER. When i was in the dealer his attitude was sloppy and arrogant. He said and I quote " It's a mistake, it is what it is, are you going to sign and get this done or what? If you think its my fault then sure, it is my fault". Not a signal word of apology for wasting my time. Messing up the paper work and not feel a slight bit of shame as a industry professional.

It is a sign of sloppy management, and more over i feel insulted. I'm buying a car not a cabbage. Of all the other dealers i have dealt in town, never in my life have i been treated with such arrogance. The company MCL along with 4 wonderful luxury brands that MCL represents ought to feel ashamed about such conduct by its employee. and having someone like him to represent the brands which have built its reputation for a century of time.

Its a damn shame.

Had the pleasure of working with Mike Pham to buy my new Range Rover last month. He helped to create a smooth and stress-free purchase without any pressure along the way. Always honest, professional, trustworthy, and very personable throughout the entire experience. Even during this covid pandemic the staff were all wonderful and maintained safety protocols to reduce exposure as much as possible, which I appreciate greatly. Very glad to have worked with MCL to buy my vehicle and would definitely recommend Mike to anyone looking for a new SUV.

My jaguar door was damaged. It took MCL motors almost 4 months to get the door back and I am still waiting for my car. Auto body shop and MCL Services Centre is giving such a hard time. Not getting any answer from anyone.Both parties are putting blame on each other. If Land rover/Jaguar can't get the parts here in timely manner then stop selling..
Whenever I asked anyone about the delay they keep blaming on the supplier for the parts.

Bought a 2012 range rover, experience was excellent. Everyone was super helpful and hustled to get things done efficiently... deal was fair and I love the vehicle! Dealt with Christy from Sales and Lee-Anne from the commercial office. Had one small issue and came back the next day and Dino was awesome! fixed the issues quickly and didn't charge me a cent.Very pleased. thanks guys!

Bought my car there and getting it serviced.... It bad group of people but service ain't cheap.

Very Good Customer Service provided by the Service Department, even though sometimes it may take a little time to get the parts ordered in or approvals from upper management, but problems always get fixed and most importantly, they're ON THE CUSTOMER SIDE and stand up to the LandRover reputation. MCL motorcars is the place to buy exotic cars. They have the big and elusive Brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini,Aston Martin, etc.. if you want it they can get it or they have it. Best place in Vancouver to buy exotic vehicles. Service department is very good at what they do. They service the big names Also. Buying, selling or servicing... They are good at it.

Exceptional service throughout. Mike Pham made this transaction a flawless one. Would highly recommend him to anyone who is wanting to purchase a car. He took the time to answer all my questions. Go see him! You won t regret it.

We had an extremely pleasant experience with Sonny Wong at MCL Motors.

It was a big deal for us to switch brands after driving BMWs for 12+ years.

We were pleasantly surprised to have experienced an awesome car buying experience at Land Rover on Burrard. Not having done an incredible amount of research in advance Sonny Wong was our sales consultant and he was extremely professional, patient and knowledgeable about the competition, the industry and what he had to offer at Land Rover. Needless to say, he was driven and focused on finding us the right vehicle for our family. We are extremely happy in our new Discovery Landrover 5+2.

So next time you're looking for someone who truly cares about the customer and not just pressuring you to buy a vehicle that they are trying to get off the lot because they are incentived to do so; make sure you go see Sonny.

Dreams do come true!! Never had I thought I'd be in my Range Rover Sport HST so soon. Jarvin Ong along with his finance team Philip, Bo & Eric had provided me such a seamless experience here from start to finish. Jarvin has been so patient with finding me the exact truck I wanted, featuring all the specs and payment I needed. Also, the finance team were so accommodating with my schedule and really attended to what needed to be done for me.

For those who are hesitant about walking into a luxury dealership, dont be! The entire staff at MCL definitely treats you more than just a customer from the second you walk in and the moment you drive off in your dream car! Not the mention the amount of service and follow ups you recieve even after you have picked up your car.

Had such a great experience at MCL yesterday. Sales and management were so helpful when ordering my new Range Rover Evoque. They reviewed with me every package and accessory so I felt comfortable with exactly what I will be getting. They also provided me with the best price over any other dealers in the lower mainland. I would recommend them 100 times over.

Probably I met the worst and unqualified service manager ever for this company, David Campbell.
I worked for a little bit more then one month with him.

The worst of all time. STAY AWAY.....
Brought my S type Jag for a new key and it ended up costing me $1300 which I foolishly paid.
The car now has trouble starting even after they replaced the ignition barrel and exciter ring. To which they said had to be replaced for the new key to work.
I took the car to an independent and he replaced the PCM relay for $28 and the car is fine.
These guys are professional rip off artists. stay away away away

We bought Range Rover Velar and absolutely love it,, But this would have not been possible without Nate (our santa )who is amazing sales person and so humble,nice,patient and gave us such a good deal and made so genuine efforts that we get the best of best car. I would suggest everyone to go and see Nate. I would also like to thank Bo (financial Manager) and Jason (sales Manager).
