We made a special point to revisit this place the next time we came through Salem. The food was excellent, service very good. My only issues are that their starter salads are way too big, and you are full before you even get the main meal; and they lose a star solely because, in this day and age, any restaurant still using styrofoam as their takeout containers should really be more environmentally conscious.

Drinks were fabulous!! Dinner ok...thanks!! Decor was awesome..fall looking.

We came for the All you can eat Captains Platter. I should have taken a picture but it was really yummy and I ate it all. Seriously, it was very good. Clam Chowder and sourdough bread started it off. Really good bread. Chowder very good too.
Main plate consisted of Fish,Prawns,and Clam strips. All deep fried oh and French fries too.
It also included a creamy shrimp pasta. It was SO good. As I said,it's all you can eat. $14.95. Damn nice price!

Fish n chips were greasy, horrible. Plate looked awful, never got ketchup for fries. Shrimp Platter...most were so heavily breaded, disappointing, at best.

My first experience was very poor, but after speaking with corporate they invited me back to try again and it was pleasent. Food was cooked well and portions were good. Been back multiple times since and always have an enjoyable experience

McGrath's is your standard upscale fish house. We went here the other night celebrating a new school year. Everyone reported that their food was good. I had my usual coconut shrimp and it didn't disappoint. The prices, however, seem a bit steep for some of the food.

Have really liked this place in the past, but a little disappointed this last visit. The appetizer crab filled mushrooms were luke warm, as well as the clam chowder.

Had a great dinner with my sister, father and grandfather. I had the NY Strip, which was delicious. My dad and granddad had the halibut and they both said it was superb. My sister had the alfredo with chicken, it looked good and she scarfed it down, so it must've been good. The waitress was quick and efficient. I'd definitely come back again!

We always enjoy going to McGrath's. The service was great and the food excellent.

Wow horrible experience...my sister cut her leg open in the bathroom because of their toilet paper cover..the manager was short and rude with us about..then our food was less than desirable to the extent of rotton baked potato, soupy pasta and tasteless halibut!! All to be charged $70 for garbage food!

Waited to long to be served dinner, food tasted awful like it was made wrong. Free dessert, then the manager didn't make is pay for dinner. Great outcome, but our food was nasty.

A must go if u love fresh seafood.
If you go at a time when it's busy I suggest that you sit at the bar so you don't have to wait to order.
I think they will allow miners in the bar area just not at the bar it's self (YOU MAY WANT TO ASK).

Fresh fish, friendly staff, and a great atmosphere lends itself to an excellent dining experience. We had 4 adults with meals, an appetizer, and drinks for $100. Such great food at a great price. The wedge salad was great and the salmon wasn t cover cooked. Great job, everyone!

When you order a full size salad at McGrath's fish house expect to get the size of a side salad as well as it just tossed in your container. When you order a Marion Berry cobbler to go expected to be frozen and thrown in a full size container with the crust broken. We are very disappointed as we a visited the location in Medford Oregon and received much better service multiple times, the bread was good as always otherwise wasn't worth our time or our money.

Wonderful smiling waitress. Delicious chower. Potato skins were overdone and the carrots were not done.

Is it just a NW thing? Bay City Salmon stuffed with Lobster? OH MY. Not much of a lobster fan but this one is quite the treat, ($$) however once in a while.

Excellent food and service. I've been a few times in the last year with friends and family, no one has had an issue during those visits.

Pretty good prices, but service is not the best. We went on a Saturday at 11:40. There were maybe 3 other customers in the place and we were told it would be 15 minutes to be seated. The next couple that came in was told 20 minutes. I asked why we were waiting and was told all the servers start at 12:00, so they couldn't seat us before that. Crazy!

Very disappointing will never go back food is over priced I could have got the same seafood at skippers? Not worth your time or money!!!

Not a fish guy but WOW good beer and friendly environment!

Foods good. Every time we come here we have to wait 10 or 15 minutes. Once they come to seat us I look around and see plenty of open tables. Why is there always unnecessary wait?

Monday , July 30,2018 had to wait 10 min to be greeted forever to be seated the same getting a drink ect ect ect I'd say management is blowing it with staffing, just saying. Disappointed.

My Waitress was wonderful .. She helped, Me achieve something.!!! Thank You: Miss Wait/person. Talking about: Lancaster and Center.!!!

my mom and I both got sick after eating here. bowels were not happy that was the only thing we are all day

Great food, quick helpful service. We were a party of 12 with no reservation and they seated us quickly.

Normally quite happy here. Last night hit a rough patch but they made it right. Also, very decent Happy Hour if you haven't hit it.

The food is mediocre. I cook better than this, it costs me less money and I don't have to wait in huge lines. The service ok, better in the bar area.

I ordered a grilled item and they melted butter on the plate to make it have some flavor. The butter didn't help and that's a bummer, 'cause butter makes everything better... most of the time.

I had Fish and Chips and it was terrible, while my husband had a combo and it was good.
Good atmosphere, however it felt like the server was a little pushy.

My husband n took our older sons out for dinner tonight. It was our oldest sons bday so wanted to celebrate his 35th. We were all so upset by our waitress we had to ask 4 times for water several times for salt n pepper and when she brought us our salads st was spilling everything n even serve out younger sons salad with her thumb in his dressing. We had just got our salads when three minutes later we got our food. Everything we got had burned parts on the meat we had to ask other servers to get us stuff cuz our server was sitting down with friends at a table. We were so upset. We have never had such bad service before.

Traditionally an excellent place to eat. Tonight, 4 of 5 meals were good, but one wasn't. The Salmon Saltibocca was less than satisfactory for my easy going mother-in-law. Red potatoes were dry and she couldn't cut her Aaperagus Spears with a butter knife; my wife also had difficulty. Apparently it was pretty woody too.

The other four meals were good: BBQ bacon burger, fish & chips (a bit greasy) and the seafood platter, and the herb scallops.

We will go back and hope it'll be up to par then.

Excellent food! We had the Cranberry Halibut and Macadamia Nut Chicken- very tasty! Will definitely go back!

The shrimp lettuce wraps were to die for! Excellent service on the patio, will be back.

Was very disappointed. The food was cold, the crab legs was small. Had to repeatedly ask four times for various items. Asked to speak to manager and no one showed up.

This is a great McGrath's location. I love their clam chowder and I usually have good service here.

Staff was very helpful in taking care of my dilemma,got me a meal I could enjoy and brought it out to the car, so thank you Sarah. I'll be eating normal again real soon, can't get along without my sea food.

Always our families choice for great seafood. My brothers and I went there last night to celebrate our Mom's life.

Mozzarella sticks served during dinner the best. They are huge!

Staff is always friendly, the oyster shooters ROCK! Buck 50, regular price. 50 cents on happy hour. Also if you want em special... 50 cents & they add a shot of vodka on top. Moscow mules are doubles & delish.

Dude this place is the kittens caboodle. I ate a entire crab bra and it was so scrumptious. However when I first arrived I was looking at the lobsters because they're cute at and I realized on of them was straight up dead bro. So all the other lobsters just had to kinda just hang out with there dead bro.

Food wasn't to bad. Are waitresses seem to be very busy with to many customers. So she didn't get to us as often as we could of hoped for. The place was very nice inside. Very friendly staff.

Watch out for the seasonal deals, can be big sales.

Stopped in for lunch with my grandparents, just highly unsatisfied with our server. Food was as expected. But the service lacked everything. Graciela, I hope I never have the opportunity to be served by you again in the hospitality business, it is just not your area of expertise. I will never return because of the type of service you provided, just seemed to be bothered by everything. 10/21/2018 2:07 is the time stamp on the bill.

They were busy and our waitress was fenaminal she never missed a beat definitely a spot to go

I love the food. The staff was very nice. The Clam chowder was really good and so was the Sesame Chicken strips.
