Always a good time...Prices seem to have gone up quite a bit...Not sure if that's why crowds are smaller or not.

Every seat is a good seat. Great beer selection and fun times.

Bucs hockey is great. Small close community, good Hockey, good beer, reasonable ticket prices, not a bad seat in the house!

This is the place to go if you're a Hockey fan. Consessions stands throughout the entire building, alcoholic beverages served . Staff are fantastic. Definite thumbs up all the way

Love when hockey rinks get put into old existing buildings. Good atmosphere but from what I could tell, everyone that worked there just had no pride in their work. Tasks were accomplished very lazily.

I like this arena, it's got a comfortable atmosphere, not stuffy and uptight like newer ones around. My fiance planned a perfect surprise proposal down on the ice and the staff was very accommodating in helping him plan and orchestrate it.

Nice arena and fairly clean compared to some others. The teams always put on a good show too. Not much else to say. It's cool because theres ice but they serve hot food.

A great local crowd that is loyal to the team & players. The food is classic arena grub.

We love going to Bucs games. Fun, exciting, and you won't be able to watch any sport for a more reasonable price.

Incredible atmosphere that keeps fans coming back for more. Plenty of concession stands around the venue to include a craft beer stand! Certainly a family friendly atmosphere and is a great, affordable way to spend an evening!

Classic arena to watch hockey. It's so old school you can't help but love it. Seats are wooden benches. Beer is cold and well priced. Never had a bad night here.

Tons of fun! The new owners made a huge, deep-cleaning of the arena so it's a much nicer venue! The team has struggled, in recent years, but they always give it their best.

It was a lot of fun. It's decent hockey, it's definitely a rougher crowd. They certainly get into it

We came here for the Learn To Skate program. Highly recommend. We had a wonderful experience (despite not being much good at skating!). It is pretty well organized and routine. Thanks!

Game was fun. Parking sucked and there really needs to be some security for crossing the road at night. Seats are a bit rough but still had lots of fun. We were there for the dachshund races. Super adorable!

We always have fun at the Bucs games because we LOVE hockey! Convenient location. Great people watching. If you don't really like hockey it might be too loud & somewhat annoying with the sometimes obnoxious fans. Downsides are the very basic seats become uncomfortable over the course of the night & concession prices are too high for the outdated venue. Wish parking wasn't extra $5.

Old time hockey arena. Cheap beer and competitive players. Not necessarily a family atmosphere but fun for a guys night out

Not handicap accessible for someone in a walker and is paralyzed.. he had to crawl up the stairs and hard for him to get to the GA section.

As Andy said - pound for pound this is the best sports venue in Iowa.

They printed 25 programs for a 3500 seat arena! Not acceptable! BUCS VS. Cedar Rapids 10-15-16.

Go Bucs! I love watching hockey games and only complaint is the sound system is kind of awful. Sitting rink side you can't hear most of what's being said but you can hear the music occasionally.

Judy is the best bartender! Makes going there so much more fun.

Our group continued to have a great time. The fans are awesome, our team won, and food bar service was exceptionally fast. Come early for limited parking (or oak across the busy street) and bring a cushion to sit upon (wooden benches). A great time was had amd I'll be back soon!

Good place to see the Des Moines Buccaneers play hockey, and be sure to support the Gabe Fleming Memorial Hockey Scholarship Fund.

This is some of the best junior hockey in the Midwest. These kids play very hard trying to impress college scouts. The rink needs some updating but the beer is cold. Just go and have fun.

Fun old school arena, great place to catch a Jr hockey game and a cold beer. The place does need a remake but if rustic is your thing, it s perfect.

Was the first time there with my Husband, Scotty, & our Daughter!!! WE HAD A BLAST!!! THE BUCCANEERS WON --- 3 to 2!!! WOW!!!

The hockey is good quality for the age of the players, but the atmosphere is amazing. The crowd is rambunctious and extremely loyal to their team, making for a fun evening of hockey. Merchandise is reasonably priced for such a venue, as are the concessions. Bring a jacket, though, as it is a bit chilly.

Fun times. Just wish I knew the cheer words after the bucs score.

I LOVE going to hockey games at the Buc's arena. The atmosphere is fun and exciting. I enjoying being able to sit so close to the action.
