$20 tail piece of salmon with some overcooked rice pilaf and cold green beans. Kinda let down. I won't be returning. Service was slow as well. I'm not one to complain as I spent 15 years in the service industry, but McGraths should know better. Sorry guys.

Our waitress seemed new, but she was very sweet and gave wonderful service. The food, however, is clearly aimed towards old people. It's mushy and bland.

This place is a joke!! Salad was so old that came out. Looked like it was prepped 3 days prior. Asked for a water and the waitress brought me a water with parsley bits in it... 2nd time here and last for my wife and I

Very good service. .wish all restaurants were as good especially the food. .need to have a McGrath s close to the south end of salem . corner of kubler and battle Creek would fit nicely. .

Yummy appetizers. Nice selection of fish. Great salads. Nice atmosphere to visit with friends or family.

Took my wife out for anniversary to have dinner. Decided to go to this place and I could not have been happier to. Our waiter was Cody, and I could not have been more pleased with the service that he provided us. If we needed something he got it immediately and did not forget fast friendly and always smiled. And the food was good too! My wife and I left totally pleased with the service and the food. Great job Cody! Thank you!

My favorite restaurant in my area offering fried prawns. Also, great Cole Slaw!

I had the fish and chips. Fish was overdone and dry. Service was good. The fish was overpriced.

had a quick bite for lunch while waiting for a car repair. My server, short young Hispanic girl didn t catch your name, was polite sincere and attentive without hovering. Restaurant was clean bathrooms were great. One note is the choice in music was a little unusual. Jason Derulo s Talk Dirty kinda caught me off guard, given the ambience of the restaurant . I will listen to anything from beatles to rage against the machine to daft punk so the content wasn t offensive, just seemed out of place. Maybe I m just getting older. Good experience though, we go back and g maybe I m just getting older. Good experience though, would go back again

To much breading on the fish and shrimp fish was also to oily, not the same anymore.

I ordered the captains platter. It came out cold and very greasy. Also the whole restaurant was dirty. I wont go to this McGraths again. Horrible

This restaurant is an extremely popular and has a clean environment. The menue is at the higher price end but their food is fresh and delicious.

Excellent food. When the scampi was not cooked properly, the manager made sure it was cooked again properly. Totally enjoyed our dinner.

We had the halibut fish and chips with the clam chowder. You can't go wrong with this meal. It was completely delicious. Our server was great too. We used a coupon from their website for $5.00 off two meals.

It use to be good, the food quality and service are hit or miss. Not worth the price. I wont be going back.

Poor food quality. Much too greasy. Could be improved with additional deep fryers so as to avoid temps dropping too much when cooking voluminous orders quickly.

Nicole was our server. Bright smile, sweet personality. Very efficient in taking our orders and keeping us supplied with coffee. We had the grilled Steelhead. It was delicious. Clam chowder had good sized chunks of clam. Cole slaw was very tangy sweet. Had a great meal and a fun time.

First, our server was fantastic as was the manager. The food was ok. My sister's shrimp was old and had to be sent back. They were apologetic. I'd give the personnel five starts, but the food was marginal at best. Nothing wrong with my food, but it wasn't stand out. Typical nondescript chain.

Halibut fish and chips where sub standard. Salad was warm. Halibut was like mush!!

Lame service and food.... I feel like I should go purge after eating at McGraths.

Great place all around exactly what you would expect from a place like this. Just we had a waiter that wanted to tell his life story.

Horrible customer service by the front desk and the manager, Houston. When I tried to talk to him about the bad service he argued with me. I got angry and he told me to take my business elsewhere from now on. Gladly!!

Waited about 20 mins before anyone came to ask if we wanted something to drink...definitely not better than red lobster

Not a good choice for us.
The appetizer was unappetizing- not even the cheese was melted. Our food arrived very late and we were told it was because the steak took so long to cook; yet, it was not only lukewarm when we received it, it was also under-cooked. The 'stuffed' salmon consisted of the same cream cheese conglomeration as the cold stuffed mushrooms we received as an appetizer. The pasta and green bean sides were also very cold.
Inedible is the only way I could describe it.
Trying to salvage the night, because the wait staff was overwhelmed & service was reflective, my date & I switched plates. We ate perhaps half the fish & steak & nothing else.
We were told a manager would be over to rectify the situation, but he went to the table next to ours instead.
We listened as he profusely apologized & gave them an entree for free. Meanwhile, the waitress continued to ask him numerous times to return to our table.
When he finally arrived, he was rude & condescending. He didn't even know what we ordered & cut us off when we tried to tell him.
He offered to cook us something else. We declined; we'd already been there for almost 2 hours by that point, had no desire to wait even longer in the over crowded, under-staffed bar, or continue to be treated poorly.
His idea of compensation? $5 off appetizer coupons to use on a return visit! What a joke. Worst customer experience in a very long while.

Cons: medium scrimp bring used instead of the advertised pawns, waitress didn't speak English to well, food was cold and tasteless.

Service and food was excellent. Staff were very diligent following social distancing guidelines but service and timeliness did not suffer!

McGrath s Fish House is my favorite seafood restaurant. The menu is a very large range of scrumptious meals to choose from. And, their clam chowder is absolutely delicious. They also have a great seafood chowder. This is definitely a seafood restaurant, but there is also plenty of meals on the menu that are not. The atmosphere has a very nice ambiance and the seating is comfortable. You can order and eat your meals in the bar/lounge if you like. They are a very popular place and often times you may have to wait in the foyer to be seated at a table, but they are very quick and the wait is not long. The wait staff is very friendly and the food cost is very reasonable considering the large portions of food and the quality. I highly recommend that you give this restaurant a try.

worst food ever for the price, I went there for my mothers 75 birthday. So disappointed....all food was cold and under cooked or over cooked. salad was bad, drinks were bad... Butter not real, Potatoes bad. bread under cooked. Sauce for appetizers very bad, not the right temperature. seating very bad. My mom is disabled , not accommodating for disabled people. Server was great, she should work someplace else.

I don't eat fish or any type of seafood but their Greco pasta dish tasted better than anything I've ever had at the Olive Garden.

Best seafood in town and service is good and sometimes great. Reasonable cost and huge menu.

Service was excellent. My wife was disappointed when I did not order the chowder and went with a salad. So the waitress brought her out a free cup to try it. Fish and chips were fish that melt in your mouth goodness. I cannot rate anything else because I always get that (excellent). Miss this place in Corvallis.

Their website says curb side pick up. When I called to confirm my order and let them know where i was in the parking lot, they said they would not allow hosts to come outside. So when it was time to pick up, I went inside and told them who I was. The first hostess was pleasant and helpful. The waiting area seats were marked closed which I understood as to why. I mentioned that I was disabled and could not stand for very long. Another hostess said it was alright since I was there to pick up an order and would be gone soon. A third person who seemed to be the team leader said that I had to wait in the outer area if I had to sit down. My question is, what does it matter whether or not if I sit down if I am occupying the same space I was already in waiting for my order?

This place has never disappointed me. The food is always so good. The only complaint is the last promotion they did, they had a coupon. 2 for $22. Then it gave u a coupon for $4 off. So I thought u would get $4 off the $22. Nope, in the tinest lettering it read that the $22 was with the coupon. So kinda felt cheated a little bit. Other then that, food always good.

Excellent selection of fresh product! The halibut parmesan is amazing as well as the alder plank salmon!!! Poor staff needs more help though. Otherwise excellent place to dine

Not pleased. Food greasy. Not given time to drain or oil in fryer not hot enough. Waitress brought soup/salad too late so entree was delivered before we had time to finish them. Only got 1 cup of coffee never offered any more and not around much to ask. Also when we gave card for payment of bill she carried it around with her as she took other orders. Totally unprofessional, and unsatisfying. Used to like your restaurant, but will probably not return.

Best waitress EVER tonight. Nichole handled a very large family get together for my mother's 87th birthday! About 20 people in our group. She was excellent!!!!!

Hubby took me out to dinner tonight at McGrath's Fish House in Salem Oregon and i ordered the Captain's plate for 24.99 and I substituted extra clam strips instead of prawns. Thinking i was gonna get a decent plate for the price. I was very wrong I only got 3 very small scallops and the amount of clam strips I got for ordering extra was disapointing. The crab was over cooked and dry. For the cost of the plate I got I expected a decent amount and good quality of food, Neither is what I got. I will not be going back to another McGrath's again. This place would get a 2/5 from me only cause the fish, bread and clam chowder was good.

Our Thanksgiving dinner was delicious! Truly the most moist turkey I've ever had. Thank you

I actually rated McGrath's Fish House as a 3.8 maybe a four, however the person I was with said he would not come back because of the service. So that's why I gave it a three for me and their food was good, but my friends patience ran out because of the service. I will go back, just with somebody else that's more patient and give it another shot. Mick G

Lunch was great. Had a couple of oyster shooters and an appetizer sampler. Great service and atmosphere. Oyster shooters would be better if served with cocktail sauce on top instead of on the bottom.

Been eating here for years. Never have we had such horrible food and service. Sad.
Dirty cutlery wrapped in clean napkins handed freshly - 2 sets. Our dirty dishes filled out table from the start. Food was super greasy, swimming in it. Salt and pepper shaker were covered in some kind of substance on them.
Still sitting here and the service is lacking as well.

It was great as usual. Been there many times, never disappointed! Service always supper food always fantastic.

Check their web site for specials before you go. Found a coupon for an all you can eat fisherman's platter for $14.95. It wasn't advertised in the restaurant. Best $15.00 meal I've had in awhile! As usual the food was good and our server was great!

Time for an update. Went back about a month later and 3 out of 4 meals were cold. The potatoes wouldn't even melt butter. The service and food were still good though and they offered some monetary recompense for the meals. I figured it was a fluke and we went back in another month. Not only were parts of all meals cold, the shrimp in one plate of alfredo were so over cooked you couldn't chew them. Service was sub par, wouldn't honor online coupons, no questions about quality of food. Needless to say, we won't be back after all the years we have ate there. Red Lobster is just down the street.

Good Sea Faire and prices. I still wrestle with the Green bean side. I like GB but not these. Potatoes were pffft/o.k. the Pasta side was good and the desserts are decident and sizeable.

On a visit here in May my daughter and grand daughter were enjoying (what they believed to be) properly prepared food.
In between the booths there is privacy glass and below it is an open area to the floor. Unaware of this, my 4 yr old grand daughter propped up an iPhone to keep her busy and quiet while the adults were eating. The phone fell between the partitions to the floor and while peering in to figure out how to retrieve it, you could see food and other items had been inadvertently dropped into this hole on a regular basis. The restaurant is claiming they're unable to reach the phone which would also indicate they're leaving rotting food for the local insect/rodent population to dine on.
I'm filing a report with the Health Dept. to investigate their lack of concern on cleanliness and a claim with the local police Dept for theft, as they are refusing to retrieve the phone.
I definitely do not recommend patronizing this restaurant with their lack of: customer service, cleanliness, and integrity.

Food was wonderful and timed so we never had too much on the table. The server was helpful when asked for suggestions about drinks. One of my favorite places for seafood.

Well ive been coming here since 1998 and it was great but im done im so fed up. The last 5 6 times my family has had to complain about the food the help and so forth. Im so done embarrassing myself and bothering calling the manager. It just plane sucks that some bar tender whom I have never seen before but the new waitress claims the bartender whos hair looked like she just woke up, has been here for a long time when I know better well the bartender she muddled crushed green olives in my martini not only is this not according to the menu but i have never in my life of drinking martinis heard of doing that it was sent back I didnt feel good about risking the other one cause when I told the bartender that this tastes only like olive juice and it looked totally green well it made her mad so I didnt want to drink the next one. Now the waitress didnt bring my salad totally forgot. Then sandwich I ordered was so small. This so tirering im so done my family and I to many times of crappy food drinks and lousey service im tired of complaining. I loved this place really did but we are through sorry to say.

The staff we're very nice, they all go out of their way. To make sure you have a great time and everything we needed. The food was fantastic , my favorite is their halbiut cooked any way. It's always fresh and melts in your mouth.
