We went for the special 4 course dinner and it was excellent. We loved the crab & artichoke appetizer---warm and creamy with crunchy parmesan toast.

Oysters were on point. Drinks were good. Food was amazing! Server was friendly and quick. Will be back

quality continues to slip. when your customer base averages 75 years old you know you have a problem.

Good food and friendly service. My friend and I were allow to stay and visit for over 4 hours. Thank you McGrath's.

Really good service the waiter we had did an amazing job checking often asking if we needed anything explaning all of our options the food was very good.

Crab cakes and Lavender Lemon drop Martini were both good. Server fun, it was busy and several ordered the four course deal so my food was slow.

Disappointed. They don't serve Cod anymore. Had Talipia, which was overcooked. The salad and bread was good however

Over and under cooked prawns. Melted butter served with meal was slightly rancid.

This was probably the worst dining experience ever. Farmed fish. Out of rockfish. Ordered fried razor clams...overbattered tiny slices of tough chewy clams..burnt. Wife ordered "crab crusted" rainbow trout...cpvered with strong-tasting sinister sauce. The baked potato saved the day. Need trained cooks. Go across road to Love LoveTeriyaki.

Food is wonderful. However, we had a takeout that was provided about 20 minutes later than promised.

One of my favorite places to eat. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.

Scallop and prawn skewers were excellent and great for watching your calories.

Ok, went on a recommendation of a local hotel. Server was great, very accommodating. Food...not so much. Fried oysters came out looking very unappetizing, breading falling off and shmushy. (Okay, maybe not a word). Side salad was as large as the entree salad, (too full to eat dinner, and fried seafood does not "leftover" well) Both salads were SWIMMING in dressing. When mentioned it to a guy I believe was like an assistant manager,(or someone that had been there longer than our waiter,) his rather SNARKY comment was "lots of people order the dressing on the side". Had I known the dressing was so heavy handed I would have. If he is management, this place is in trouble!!!

Our waitress was very nice and friendly. The food was made well and tasted delicious.

The waitress was very sweet. We ordered fish and chips and an herb crusted salmon salad. The fish was very greasy and placed on top of the few fries they gave us. The fries became saturated in fish grease and were inedible. We had to pull the breading off the last 2 pieces of the fish as it was so saturated in grease and soggy The salad was pretty good, except the salmon was cooked earlier and cold.
We ordered a large beer and a mojito. The mojito was delicious! The beer came out as a small. When the waitress niticed, she offered to bring out a second. The second was only a third full to make up for the missing ounces. Again, the waitress was nice, but it was a disappointing experience.

The clams were overcooked, the fish was under cooked and doughy"..raw batter very greasy

had fish and chips and to greasy and fish had no spice flavor.

We go to this restaurant for a very special day every year. The food and service have yet to let us down. I typically go for crab but decided to try the Seafood saute. Wow! It was amazing! I would have love some angel hair pasta along with it so will be sure to ask for a side next time. Great job!!

It was terrible! We waited over hour an half to get served. They told us they ran out of prawns then crab. Never go their again!

Walked in and the host was talking and didn t acknowledge us . Servers walked by our table and we waited so long for someone to even come talk to us.

This place is terrible. Food takes 60 minutes or more once order is placed.

We went here with my 95 year old grandma while visiting from the East coast. (It was her favorite restaurant back in the day.) We called 5 minutes ahead and they made sure an accessible table was set up for us when we got there. The food was all delicious, and the whole staff was charming, sweet and incredibly competent. Our soups and salads were delivered less than 10 minutes after we ordered, and our meals within minutes of finishing those. Sherayne was our waitress, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. She even took a picture of our table and put it in a special frame, so that my grandma could remember the occasion. When she asked if we wanted dessert, everyone said they were full, except my grandma, who said "maybe". Sherayne brought her a sundae on the house! Thank you, McGrath's, for giving us such a wonderful evening.

Great service...good food... I loved my food my husband did not care for his fish or fries because of the oil that they use he said it tasted old otherwise good food

Just received poor service all around. The restaurant wasn't busy. Had to wait on the hostess to even appear. Sat at the bar, the bartenders pretty much ignored us, from when it came to ordering or cashing out my check. The food was bland and mushy.

Greatest waitress ever, first time for that here. I'm a waitress myself, night out, hair up, looking kinda rough because it's my night off. Waitress didn't judge my appearance and was absolutely wonderful. 45.00 bill and 20.00 tip. Would a gave 5 star but Manager is a Douche to employees, didn't care to see that, it was unpleasant. 9:00 pm 3/16/16

Lots of folks have raved about this place and urged us to check it out so finally did. We found the food to be good, not the best we've ever had and certainly not worth the price. In our estimation, over priced, especially for Italian food.

The food was just okay, but the service, while friendly, was slow. Plus, the bread on the bottom of my sandwich was soggy.

Only time I will get to go. Am in vacation, my friends birthday. They even take pictures and print them out for you! The food was excellent. I had a sort of sampler. The shrimp, fish and chicken were well cooked and very tasty. The crust was even good the next day! The shrimp Louis side salad was enough for an entire meal by itself! I will look forward to going there again next time I am on this side of the country!

We had a great visit. The waitress did a great job of making sure we we're taken care of.

Wasn't too impressed, food wise. I had the chicken parm and it was so dry I needed more marinara and ranch just to make it palatable. Drinks were so sweet and pretty sure had zero alcohol in them. After two I wasn't even buzzed. Our Service was great though and our waitress was super friendly and sweet.

Great food at this spot. Good service. Fresh food preparation. One of the three best spots to eat lunch down town.

The seafood dishes are pretty good but I would suggest not ordering steak there. They are definitely not known for their steak except that it's like shoe leather. My husband and I asked for steaks medium rare and what we got was way over cooked and they did not do anything to compensate us for the inedible pieces of over cooked meat. This is the first and last time I will ever get a steak there but as I said the seafood dishes were very tasty.

This is one of my mother's favorite eateries in Salem. Love the appetizer sampler. Everything I want in one spot. Heck, it is all good food.

Worst food, waited on server Mickey for some times 20 minutes at a time I'm actually writing this while my wife and kids are in the car no servers in sight waiting on the check for 30 mins everything was microwaved and nasty salads were sloppy and wilted Oregon bay shrimp salad was mostly garnish beer was warm dip was still cold in middle always wanted to try this place I can see the time was wasted I will never return

The food was pretty decent, but it looks like they are going through some manager turnover. They wait times where quite long, but overall it was a good experience.

Ordered a crab cocktail and they end up dumping an entire bottle of cocktail sauce, lettuce, and celery in a bowl and calling it a cocktail. Disgusting.
Customer service is okay, food is okay, not that great.

Yesterday, we ordered delivery from McGraths. The 1st delivery was thats just say less the great. But here's where it changes. The manager that night, and I wish I remembered her name went so above and beyond to make it right. I felt like I was thier only cutomer. She replaced what food we did receive that was not editable, and what food we didn't recover was brought as well. It was cooked and prepared perfectly. I just want to Thank the employees that worked that night for going above and beyond to make it right ,and we really appreciate it. Thank you!

They made us wait for 30 minutes while other people who came after us were being seated.

I asked the girl at the front desk what the issue was and she just told us "I don't know talk to the manager'
We just left and went to Red Lobsters.

The chowder is always on point... Anytime rainbow trout is on the menu it is great.. a reasonable selection of beer (definitely not a tap house). Shrimp added to a side salad w ur dinner is definitely worth it... Not sure how they keep their shrimp w so little fishy smell like u would see if u get them from a grocery store... The ranch is great... Everytime I come to visit my family I make it a point to go there ... Service is as good as it gets consistently

Three years ago was Last time I was here I was very disappointed! No flavor in my wild caught Trout. This recent trip April 2019 was really good! We took my father out for his birthday and he loves McGrath's! They have definitely changed since we were here 3 years ago. Very good seafood place! Great service too.

Nice and clean. Not busy since we arrived for an early Sunday dinner. Varied selection of entrees. We enjoyed our visit.

Waitress was very attentive and fun. Food left a bit to be desired.. Crab legs were literally pencil thickness.

The food was great and kudos to the cooks! BUT, the wait staff sucked bad! We had to ask 3 times for water refills and bread, my wife's drink didn't show up until we were almost done, our waitress disappeared, when we left I over heard another couple ask when will they get their food because they've been there for awhile, and why do they have to sing the birthday song? Never again will I return to this place. The only good thing was the cooks and the food they made.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary at McGrath's tonight, and our server, Lexi, was an amazing host!! The food was also very good.

Great menu and good food. I stop by whenever I pass through Salem.

Customer service was good, appetizers were good! Calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and clamchowder was good however our main dish had no flavor and was alittle pricey.

Always good food and good service. Seems like they are struggling with the Covid requirements. Still 5 stars.

I liked this place. very casual, very relaxed and all about the hamburger. I also liked the fries that had the crisp edge I like on fries. As good of a burger and fry as I have had in a long time. Will go back
