Very nice little restaurant. Great atmosphere and friendly people.
The food is always excellent though the wait staff seemed a bit less than enthusiastic.
Just had brunch (Shepard's pie), amazing! People there cool, can't believe I live 6 miles from this place and only been there 3 times. Shame on me! Be back there very soon and often, cudos
Wonderful experience!!! Mike immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. We came with my dad and daughter both full time wheelchair users. Excellent fish and chips and shrimp and grits. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Dixie's place is great , the food is authentic , the entertainment is awesome. The service is A+. Nice place to visit , I recommend it to all.

I absolutely love this place. The food is great and the music always gives it a very authentic feel. I use to work here, and I can definitely say that John and Dixie care about their staff like they are their own children. And the staff is always very knowledgeable about what they are serving, the selection of tap beers is the best in town, and I've always left having had a positive experience.
Fantastic food and drink. The staff are very friendly.
Good food and service with a decent selection of beer, wine, and nicely stocked bar.
This was an awesome restaurant. The bloody Marys with Guinness on top were phenomenal. The shrimp and grits rivaled Charleston's and the corned beef and cabbage tasted like it came straight from Scotland. I highly recommend this place.
Regular live performances from local musicians, friendly staff and great atmosphere and a menu that's true to the Celtic/Gaelic culture. A must visit for any sightseers in town. Order the Bangers and Mash with Honey lavender hush puppies for an appetizer.
Never had a meal that was any less than great backed up with great service
Great food and fun atmosphere. Wait staff attentive and friendly.
This place is the definition of out of sight out of mind unfortunately for me. I LOVE this place, every time I eat here it is amazing, yet for some reason I forget to think of this place when going out to eat. That will be changing for sure. Bottom line, eat here, you will not be disappointed. The Irish whiskey marinated steak is fantastic as is their beer cheese soup.
We had very good food. I ate shrimp and chips; my husband had fish and chips. The food was fresh, piping hot, and tasty. We'll definitely be back!
Just come and eat. It's good. It's pretty authentic. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the waitstaff is fun. Food is phenomenal.
Came here with zero expectations and really enjoyed the food. Service was timely and friendly. I had the corned beef which was tasty. Would go again.
We always enjoy the rustic atmosphere, the music to match it's country of origin, delicious food...never a bad meal, and good service. It's not loud nor overcrowded which is very nice for a change. Again, the good is great!
1 star because steak was semi edible. The restaurant was empty, I ordered their special. They were out of it! Settled for the whisky steak - piece of beef, heavy with tenderizer plopped on some runny potatoes & rest of plate covered in chopped veggies, couldn't tell what they were. Actually looked liked frozen bag of veggies nuked & dumped. My husband ordered the Woodland Chicken Pasta. He asked the waiter about it, was told cream sauce & mushrooms was all he knew about it. Turned out to be a small bowl of rotini pasta with 5 tiny squares of chicken on top. Definitely looked like a frozen dinner that they had sprinkled all the spices they had on it. Stouffers would have been better. Used to be one of our favorite restaurants but we won't be going back.
The most consistently great restaurant in Anderson.
Excellent service! The beer selection is a bit limited, but then who goes to an Irish pub and doesn't get Guinness. Food was also really good! Tried several dishes and none disappointed.
Awesome Irish stew (if you like Lamb)
Fish and Chips are also great
Try a few of the appetizers. Alone or with a friend or two i recommend apitcher of Beer and your sure to make this pub a favorite place.
Fried mushrooms and fish and chips. For a step into Irish culture, visit McGees.
My husband and I had our first date here and have been back many times since. Delicious food and fun atmosphere. The live music offered on select nights is nice, too.
Great food and service! A great place for a date night! The food was delicious and our server was great! We will be back.
Family experience was great. Waitress like part of the family.
We love this place. We have been a few times. Seriously food is always good. Service is always good.
Great food menu, good service and draft beer selection! We loved it.
Food was tasty, service was friendly and efficient. Ambience was relaxed. Fish and chips were very nice as was the shepards pie.
Will definitely return.
Good food & service. Dixie and her staff do a great job.
Awesome food, great atmosphere. No routy drunks.
Owner mingles with the crowd.
Very pleased
So welcoming, great atmosphere. Food always five star. Fantastic local restaurant.
Food is awesome. Service is awesome. There is a very warm atmosphere from when you walk in to when you leave.
Just finished an incredible meal at McGee's. The cold curry peach soup was a perfect start. The shark they offered as one of their specials of the night was wonderful! Anytime they offer that, I'll eat it. And the ice cream cannoli with lemon curd and blueberries was an indulgence I refuse to apologize for. Well done, Dixie! I'm so happy we didn't feel like cooking for ourselves tonight.
I m so sad I didn t take a picture of the best blackened steak I ever had in my life! It was served with mashed potatoes and a blue cheese sauce. I did however take a picture of my wife s meal which was equally as good! I definitely am going to come back and order that steak again! The owner came out personally to ask how our meals were and we had an awesome conversation. Chris was our bartender and was more than accommodating to us; asking how we were and if we needed refills on drinks and alcohol at least every 5-10 mins! What a great atmosphere to dine in and a pleasant staff as well!
When your birthday falls on Saint Patrick's Day and you turn 50, where do you go to celebrate? Well, if you are fortunate enough to be near McGee's Irish Pub, the answer should be obvious. A big thank you to our waitress, Maggie, and the owners, for a wonderful birthday celebration for my husband's 50th birthday. The service was exceptional and the food was spot on the best Irish food found in Anderson. If you haven't tried this place, then you are really missing out on a wonderful experience.
Yesterday was the first time we came to that place. But It is definitely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the superb meal and booze and with the friendly cost. We will surely come back again.
Great service, food was wonderful, and really nice Atmosphere!
It was ok, I went for the corned beef and cabbage. There tradition was different than the regular. Small portions my guest didn't like his food and it was a limited menu. They had live music, we only stayed until we were done eating. The service was fast and got seated quickly.
John and Wife do a Great Job! Good music & Food & bev
Great food and atmosphere...and Guinness beer on draft to boot!!!
I would run these shrimp and chips up against anyone's anywhere. Cathy was the best bartender ever. Thank you.
Service was great, shepherds pie had a really good taste, but was presented different than I am used, with the meat in a bowl, scoop of potatoes on top of it, garnished with a tomatoes slice. Prime rib bone was quite tasty. The smoked salmon appetizer was above average, with the dill cream cheese being spot on. Beer was served to warm for my taste
I love this place! The food and the vibe are perfect, I would highly recommend!
Food was delicious, atmosphere was geart, service was awesome. Definitely going back soon
Drinks were good, menu had changed since last visit and not for the better.
4/5 cause the burgers are great. BUT. I came here on St. Patty's day. Remember, this is an Irish pub. We got there at like 9:30 pm and they were out of car bombs and green beer. The beer trailer out back only accepted cash and the band was already packing up to leave.
The only "authentic Irish pub" in Anderson on St. Patty's day was a bit of a letdown.
The burgers are decent though.
GREAT food, GREAT atmosphere. Owner is so nice and welcoming! Wonderful drinks, and sometimes they have trivia night (not sure if they still do). This is definitely a must visit. It's a hidden gem downtown for sure.
What a great staff! So enjoyed our meal and the friendly, attentive staff. Will definitely come back for some more shrimp and grits!
Just Tapped into this SO Beautifully, built restaurant. Even though there may be a Lore, for the Elders, one can see that this place is for Every Age!
Irish Potatoe Soda bread, to boot Goes down easy with a "Southern Comfort"
This place is awesome! I had the Shrimp n Grits - delicious!
Food is delicious and the menu is unique. The wine list is extensive and outstanding. Service is great.
The best place to relax and have a drink or some GREAT food
Amazing environment really good food and really good beer
Absolutely fantastic, authentic food. Great for a cold night.
Good food, good selection of spirits, nice ambiance. Staff were a little disorganized. It may have just been an off night though.
Very nice staff and atmosphere. Bangers and mash are delicious
Food was delicious. Services was good. Great selection of food.
Very good restaurant, one of the best in the city, the best cheesecake I've tasted ....
I initially rated this place four stars, but I honestly loved my experience there. The atmosphere is great, the food is wonderful and unique, Guinness on tap of course, and the patio seating was excellent. It's even heated outside for cold nights. I took my girlfriend and we both loved it!
I walked in expecting to be let down. Very surprised. Excelent service & even better food. Owner even gave my wife a taste of something she wanted to try at no extra charge. We will make the 2 hr trip from home to come again.
Very nice and Comfy
Bartender, " Boston"
She is literally amazing attentive. Great people person... Will return.

This restaurant very much impressed me! With it's service and it's food. It was unique, different than any experience I have ever encountered(Irish). Has a pool table and TV's, great place to come chill.
Outstanding food and service! I highly recommend getting the ruben with fries & bourbon apples. You will become a regular after having that! I did!
We always enjoy our visits to McGee's! One of our regular stops. Good food and friendly service.
Excellent atmosphere, food, and service!! Will be back!
Second visit here. The food is great. The waitress was very patient and knowledgeable. Friendly atmosphere.
Laid back atmosphere. Food was great and staff was friendly!
Unique atmosphere and fine dining with a great bar and Irish themed dishes. What's not to love.
Date night with the hubby. Delicious food to start, then on to the movies.
Gotta check this out! Fabulous food and awesome entertainment! St Patrick s is right around the corner better reserve a table!
Food was awesome. No warm up or second cup of coffee. Overall. Still one of my favorite restaurants.
John and staff, go over and beyond, to make sure your visit is awesome!! Food, is always great!!
