Had to wait 45 minutes when the restaurant had 9 repeat 9 empty tables. We're told tables being held for reservations. Not true. They sat empty long after we finally got our table. While we ate other tables became empty to the point over half the restaurant was empty. As we exited we noticed that the lobby was full of people waiting for a table. The host told us he was only doing what he was told. The logic escapes me to have customers wait when there was ample room for Walk in costomers and to satisfy reservations. Don't know if I will return.

Went here with my girlfriend, my bro Eric, and his family. I got the fish and chips, and it was really good. Would highly recommend that. My gf Susie got the veggie Tikka Masala. She also loved her meal. Eric got the Shepherd's Pie, which, according to him, was dope. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I would highly recommend eating here.

I'm a truck driver and stopped by for lunch one day while in town. I got the rueben sandwich. I've tried rueben sandwiches at many places across the states and McGee's has the best melt in your mouth rueben I've ever had.
If you love a great rueben McGee's Scot Irish Pub in Anderson South Carolina is the place.

We made a road trip to come up here. Our daughter works here and told us how good the food is. We surprised her! Everything was great! You have to try the hush puppies with lavender honey. Great food!

This is a must visit. It's in an old building that's kept up nice and decorated Irish. The portions are good and the food is awesome!! Prices are good for the food you get and service is stellar. It's easy to get to and plenty of parking around.

Mcgee's is a staple of downtown Anderson. I've been going there for as long as I can remember, and have never had a bad meal. If you're craving something warm and hearty, the shepard's pie is excellent! The bartenders will even help you pick the perfect beer to pair with your meal.

I first wanna say that I have enjoyed the food here everytime I came. There are no complaints about the food. My complaint is with the SOME of the staffs attitude. I came in as a table of 7 with three small kids. The host Jay told me that the only accommodations they had that would fit a party of my size would be outside in the sun. As we were walked outside past NUMEROUS empty tables and lead out to a picnic bench were he insisted there was room for 7 there. My wife went inside to see how long of a wait it would be for a table indoors. She was made to feel like a burden on the establishment. After being seated inside finally our server "Boston" (Shay) was amazing and a pleasure to be around. Its a shame such amazing food can be ruined by staffs attitude. We will not return simply because of the way the host made us feel as a group.

This restaurant is my number one site. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I I need a special lunch, this is the place that comes straight to my mind. Great and varied food and a rich menu.courteous crew, and agreeable spirit. And very important, the tariff is honest. I suggest this place with no hesitation.

Wait staff was very pleasant! Decor it's pretty cool too. The food was okay. Went on a Sunday because I heard they had eggs benedict here. This is my favorite breakfast! I would not recommend eating it here. The Hollandaise sauce was very different from anything I've ever seen.

If you've never been to McGee's then add it to your bucket list, folks. They have an amazing kitchen, and an equally awesome bar. Their food is delicious. I love their Honey Mead Chicken, their Mick-a-roni and cheese skillet, and their corned beef. Also their beer cheese soup and french onion soup are a must have. They have a remarkably well stocked bar and an large selection of wine, mead, and import and domestic beer. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and their live entertainment is always something else. Two thumbs up!

We just left from St. Patrick s Day. We had never visited before so we were excited about trying it out. We knew it may not be the best night to go being a holiday and all, but we couldn t resist when we arrived and managed a front parking space. Upon entering, the decor was really neat and themed but not overpowering. We asked how long the wait was and were told an hour, but we opted for first available between inside and the patio. One of the sweet hostesses saw we were with our young child (19mos) and offered to check the patio because she thought there was a table currently open.

She came back a few minutes later and was able to seat us pretty much immediately, which was great having a young child. We sat down outside where live music was playing in a tent nearby and a draft beer truck was set up for people not seated at tables enjoying the live entertainment. I was upset that the menu was reduced to a few select items due to the holiday, because the full menu had several great items to choose from. Ultimately, I decided to go with the Shepherd s Pie. Fortunately, due to the reduced menu, our food came out very quickly too. I was impressed with the Shepherd s Pie and would definitely go back to visit and try some other items on their full menu.

This place is terrible. All I asked was to leave the egg off the burger. I was told that they couldn t do that. Is it pre-made and microwaved later? Both the steak that my wife ordered and the burger were terrible. Wait staff was more interested in talking with each other than taking car of customers. Won t be back.

Went here for my very first time this past Saturday around 12:30pm. The restaurant wasn t busy which I figured we would have quick service but lord I was wrong it was slow ! Our server was never around after we got our food. Food was YUMMY but paid $16 for a plate of Mac n cheese with chicken strips in it. Way over priced I must say.
