I had the chicken tenders, fries, and sweet tea. Loved them all so much that I can't wait for the next time I go!! Atmosphere was super warm and friendly. Decor was interesting to look at, too.

First time eating there! And the food was delicious

Very average. Check out Waldo's in Germantown instead. You'll thank me.

A little pricey for chicken tenders but totally worth it. They were cooked perfectly and were super fresh. Plus the sauces were on point. Especially the honey bee sauce, you could tell that they used real honey and it was made fresh. Highly recommend if you are tired of fast food chains and want to try out a new place.

It was my first time there and I ordered the chicken tenders with chipotle sauce on top and it was just an absolute mess. The tenders were soaking with the sauce to such a point that I couldn't even taste the chicken anymore. When I politely asked one of the servers if I could get a replacement with less sauce (because it was really inedible), they rudely told me to talk to the manager. Not coming back here.

Staff was very friendly! But the wings were a little dry, and they need more sauce choices. The floor is really dirty, but other than that the food was good.

They claim to have "jumbo wings," but I was disappointed when I opened my box. The wings look pretty typical, yet somehow had much more meat on them. I got the "Gold" sauce and it was delicious. I would order ahead for pick up. It is a tight space and has limited seating inside.

Always good food and quick service. McDougals has some of the best fried chicken in my opinion, and the fries are amazing too. Prices are pretty reasonable, especially for the portions, and many times I find they they throw in an extra tender I guess because they just love their customers so much. Definitely recommend!

There's a reason this place is on a list of best fried chicken. They were nice, the meal was delicious, and the free soft-serve ice cream was a great sendoff!

Good food and excellent music. Cramped seating area. Sometimes food takes a long time to be served, I generally don't run into this problem.
Over the many months/years I have come here, the sauce cups have gotten smaller, as well as the free ice cream offering.

Some menu item pricing doesn't make sense, either. Some items cost less, but you get more chicken if you're willing to forego a slice of bread. You figure it out.

Cool vibe @ this place. Great food and service. Small soft serve ice cream was a nice touch after the hot chicken. I'll be back!

Really enjoyable food stop. We were looking for something local and good to pull over and avoid rush hour traffic on 440. Found this on Google and gave it a shot. Lady behind counter helped me figure out what to try as I am from Nebraska and had never been here. The Gold sauce on wings is a very good choice, but does have a hint of mustard, which I thought was wonderful, but my wife is not a fan, so she changed her order to the Smoky sauce one. Both of us enjoyed. Only downside from me is the Tearjerker sauce is just heat and not much flavor. Overall, I would stop by again if ever back near Vanderbilt.

I ordered a 6-piece wing and fries like the wings look like they cooked them put them in a to-go box and poured half a bottle of barbecue sauce over them. This was my first time at this establishment so I'm basing my rating off of my one experience.
I don't know if it's because I got there by like 9:30 and they close at 10 maybe but yeah the wings I could have got better wings at the gas station.

We just recently discovered this place. It within walking distance from Vanderbilt. Their chicken was really delicious. The ambience is awesome. The service and staff are very friendly. I love their McDougal's sauce. It's delicious and perfect with their chicken or even fries!

Literally the best chicken ever...the gold sauce is to die for!!!

LOVE McDougal's - it's a must try! Fantastic chicken and the fries are delicious! I wasn't able to arrive as quickly as planned for a takeout order, I called them to let them know I'd still be coming, but later than expected and they gave me fresh fries when I arrived! Very accommodating and fantastic staff!

If you're ever in the area, stop by this place for lunch! It's truly one of a kind

Im from Florida and someone told me about this place and i been hooked from my first bite of chicken. And they gave me some ice cream to wait for my order which is Awesome!!

I ordered the 6 wing basket tossed in Original Buffalo and it was terrible. It was disgusting. I was polite in informing the cashier about how I didn t eat them or like them and he said oh well I m sorry you didn t like them but there s nothing I can do about it. He didn t even offer to replace them with chicken tenders or anything. He just said he was sorry and oh well. He kind of shrugged his shoulders like he didn t care. So I just walked away. Terrible service, I m never coming back again. Also the fries were cold and it looked like they gave me the crumbs because it was tiny pieces instead of whole fries. The sweet tea isn t even sweet and it just tastes like grass. Disappointment. It s way too expensive to taste the way it does.

I was in town for a Drs appt when I decided to come here & eat. WRONG DECISION!! The wait time was horrible, customer service was not up to par, & the lady that was running orders had an attitude out of this world. She basically threw my order on the counter next to me. Got in the car to check my order, and there was a long ass strand of hair on my wings!! My daughter took them back & the same lady took her nasty hands touched every piece of chicken in the tray, then said she don't see any hair & she can't give a refund, only make the order over...ummm, do u seriously think I want something else from here if it wasn't done right the first time?? I spent $23 & only thing that was worth it was the 2 drinks i got!! I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone!!

They should deep clean, paint walls , and wipe down & dust stuff on walls

From the counter lady to the food, I enjoyed it all.

I placed a to go order and received the incorrect food after getting all the way home. I called back asking for a refund and my food since they were the ones that messed up and only received a refund. They didn t even apologize that they had messed up. Make sure you check your to go food because working for a chicken tender place is too difficult for the workers.

Best chicken wings and chicken sandwiches on this earth

Always a stop in Nashville for their grilled tenders. Order at counter (don t forget to grab a local canned beer) and wait for your food at a table. It is not super fast because they are cooking to order. Worth the wait.

When I first moved to Nashville I was worried I wouldn't find an amazing wing place like I had back home. Then I was introduced to McDougal's and I was blown away. AMAZING buffalo sauce, fun atmosphere, and quick staff. When I crave wings, I go to McDougal's. Honestly writing this review is making me want to go back right now.

Sauces were good and the chicken was tender. However I noticed that the flavor of the chicken was very bland. Overall very good.

Fried chicken strip place with a college student feel. The original dipping sauces help with the mild batter. Great seasoned fries and garlic Texas toast. Beer in plastic cups and kids running around.

Small basket, fried honey mustard and McDougal's sauce. I order the same thing every single time. It never disappoints.

My favorite chicken joint in Nashville. This place is really comfortable and has a good vibe. I love the honeybee and McDougal's sauces together, and it's not just for the chicken- I dip my fries in it, too. To top it off, they serve soda water from the fountain. They've even got a vanilla soft serve machine and give out small cups for free to anyone who ordered food.

The best chicken fingers and wings in Nashville! The sauces are the best I've had anywhere! For around $15 you get 3 wings, 2 tenders, fries, and a drink. Sooooo much food

A true Nashville started restaurant that now has a big following. I love to get the tenders "tossed" in their Honey Hot sauce and then lightly dip them in a side of ranch! Plus, with a free soft serve ice cream as dessert, what more could you want from a lunch spot.

We came to Nashville for a Jets Vs Preds game (Go Jets!) and found McDougals on Nashville s topi 10 recommended places to eat. We were not disappointed! Talk about fresh! The chicken tenders were delicious, juicy&crunchy! The wings were perfect! And they have an amazing selection of delicious sauces! We tried McDougals sauce, Tearjerker, Gold, Buffalo, Honey Mustard, and Ranch. Each one was excellent, although my personal favorites were the Tearjerker and Ranch! (The Tearjerker is about as hot as your typical Mad Dogs Sauce, so it s got a kick but not too spicy with wonderful flavor). I got my tenders plain with dipping sauces (I feel like tossed tenders always get soggy too quickly). Our mistake was not realizing the portion sizes!! The tenders were literally the size of my hand! I could only eat 2 out of my 5 tender basket. Even my bottomless pit husband had leftovers. But all is well because we will reheat them in the oven tonight for dinner (: Additionally, their fries are perfect. They are homemade, cut fresh each morning, and man can you tell! So crunchy and delicious! I m not a big bread eater, but I even I found their Texas toast delicious. The ice cream is free and I m fairly certain also homemade(tastes like it). And their pickles! Ah so delicious, fresh cut! As a pickle addict, I highly recommend their pickles! I even drank the juice from the cardboard box they were so good Hahahah I asked if I could buy a jar of pickles, they didn t currently have that option, but the server said she would pass the idea on to the GM. And other than the food, the friendly atmosphere was superb! 10/10 will come again next time we are in Smashville! I highly recommend!!!

Food great, but frustrating experience. Kids prices have gone up 600% since 2010. You can't order water unless you want a bottle of water.

I have been going to Macdougals for 5 years and sticking around despite the drastic price increase but after Saturday I'm done. The staff isn't as friendly as they used to be and I observed a young lady give a dog some water took the dog bowl outside came back in and didn't attempt to wash her hands but continued serving food. I called today and spoke to Shanna which I think is the lady with the glasses I told her what happened and she said I'll talk to her about it and that was the end of the conversation which working in food service that's not okay how about suggesting that instead of bringing the dog bowl in the food establishment the employees take a cup of water outside to the dog or provide a faucet the pet owners can use outside. I don't know how others feel but I don't want someone serving a pet and then serving my food without washing hands that's how diseases are spread will not be going back.

Usually good but the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken and it took a really long time to get the food out. Like it took an hour. Get it together

These chicken fingers were out of this world. Juicy, plump, hot! The value for the portions is terrific, and that's coming from someone who likes to eat in large quantities. I looooved my meal and definitely would come back.

McDougal's is great. It is important to note that it is not Nashville hot chicken. However, if you want chicken fingers and sauces to chose from - this is the place to go. Don't forget your free soft serve when you're done.

Great food at a great price. Drinks and chicken with friends and coworkers here is always good. The Honey-Bee sauce is the prefect blend of sweet and heat and the pricing cant be beat.

I tried to place an order for the Ronald McDonald House for 10 people, that I was paying full price for and have it delivered 1 block from this location. The manager stated "we do not do deliveries and can't help you". I understand that some business models do not have delivery and for good reasons but a manager that doesn't want $150 worth of food delivered to a great cause that is 1 block from the front door is in the wrong line of work. I feel like there was a way to make this happen.

The service was so bad. They re very rude. Their buffalo sauce was really gross. It tasted like microwaveable wings that I can buy at Walmart. Their fries need some seasoning. The tea tasted like grassy water. The fries were too over cooked and tasted like plastic. I m never going back again.

We try to eat at this place every time we are in Nashville. We love all the dip choices and the portions are large. It's almost like each chicken tender is 1/2 of a large chicken breast. Seriously huge! I usually get the large tender basket (5 tenders, fries, toast, and a drink) and take at least 3 tenders home. Parking is the only issue but there's been construction going on around the area so maybe it'll get better.

Nashville should be known for McDougal's chicken instead of just hot chicken! Get the McDougall sauce! The place looks like an old cool bar in Florida when you walk in and they have plenty of seating outside and very kid friendly!

Cool little hole in the wall. The food here was great, and you can tell there was a lot of work that went into making it what it is. Definitely a must if you're visiting Nashville.

Best tenders I've had in Nashville. Don't mind the wait.

My problem ain't with the food. Asked for 3 tenders with 3 sauces but got all three with the spiciest sauce. Asked politely to change to the original order. Traded with sister cause hers was closer to what I ordered and she didn't mind waiting to eat my order. No real problem so far.

For some reason, the cook, of all people, came back with the corrected order "Is this the table/order?". My sister nodded. Then he deadpan said to my sister "Why don't you order the right order, next time?" and walked back inside. I was in shock really especially since it was meant for me.

Her husband was furious, followed the cook back inside the restaurant and called him out; later the husband talked with the manager, but never knew if anything came out of it. Made the outing pretty uncomfortable when it didn't need to be.
