Mccunes cycle world is a wonderful bike shop. If they don't have the parts I need they are always right there to order them as soon as possible for me. And they always give the best oponion on what brands of 2 cycle oil to run in my bike and what spark plugs and gasoline. Every time I go it is a wonderful experience

Zero customer service. My family walked in, right in front of an employee, not greeted at all. We walked around for 20 min and no one spoke to us at all.
From the time that we walked in to look at utility quads, it was a horrible experience. At first, nobody seemed interested in talking to us and we just wandered around the showroom floor looking on our own. Finally, a salesman comes out of nowhere and starts talking to me about Polaris quads. He wasn't very knowledgeable on the machines that we were talking about nor was he very interested in helping us. He actually pulled his phone out of his pocket to check a message while trying to describe one of the features to me. He lost his train of thought and apologized, but also told us that it was Saturday and he didn't want to be there. After all of that, I still tried to make a deal on a quad that went nowhere. All this guy said that he could do was sell things at sticker price because he didn't have the "authority" to negotiate. After trying to talk to him a few times, he finally said that he would ask the manager who was not onsite and had to call on the phone. He came back and offered us $100 off. This was so ridiculous that I laughed at him for talking to a manager and coming back with $100 off of sticker on an outdated 2015 model quad. I finally told him that this was well above the book value and good luck selling it. Nobody in this store cared to make a sell. I went on a Saturday and there was nobody there that could help me. I would think that this would be the busiest day for people in the market for power equipment, but obviously not at McCune's. The sad part is that I left McCune's and I drove another 45 minutes to Mid-Ohio. I was there for a couple of hours which included arriving, talking to a knowledgeable sales rep, browsing the inventory, finding what we wanted, doing the paperwork, eating lunch, and loading up our new machine and heading home. If only McCune could have done anything in a professional manner, we may have spent our money there. Customer service goes a long way.
It would be great if I could ride every bike in the showroom. The sales and service staff are knowledgeable and courteous. If you are looking for a great ride, go check out their enventory.
Hey, just a heads up, if you have a older bike these guys have no clue what the heck they are talking about. twice now I have called about getting work done on a 1997 Suzuki intruder, they actually told me they it's hard to get parts for this bike because of it's age ( it's not hard at all every part is available through any Suzuki dealer ) then they tell me I will have to pull the carbs of for them to rebuild them..... uh I'm not a motorcycle tech and that's why I called them because they are suppose to be the motorcycle tech. so in my experience these guys just don't want the work or just don't know how to do the work either way your better of taking your bike somewhere else
Took my Polaris Sportsman in for a recall. Staff was friendly and helpful. Took a friends Sportsman in at the same time for some warranty work which took 2 weeks to complete. Communication could have been a little better but work they did was good. Would use their services again.
Good prices, but the online selection is better than the store. Don't bother trying to find some sizes unless you are XXS or some oddball size. Columbus gets all the selection.
What a joke. I call and get a price and a part number on a part and when I call back 2 days later the price doubles and I get a line of bs and they won t honor the price quoted. Their website shows $70 for the part and was quoted $70 then when I go to order it s $143. I refuse to deal with them again!
I just went through the hassle of filling out financing information and called in to ask a few questions about form and the kid I talked to was very smug and had no inclination to help me. My bad for trying to spend 8500 bucks at your shop. Unreal. I'll take my business elsewhere. Kid didnt even know what I was talking about when I was reading directly from form yet said he was the one who submits the forms? No way am I gonna trust that.
Small shop is packed with new and used motorcycles. Big collection of gear and accesories. Well lite and well organized. Sell KTM, Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki.
Went to Iron Pony in Mansfield looking for a Polaris Ranger. I had seen several good deals online from dealerships in Columbus, Cleveland etc, but wanted to spend my money locally. I walked around the store for 20 minutes looking at different rangers and UTVs. Walked by 3 different salesman several times who were not busy, and they never even greeted me. Though they did greet another guy near me who was wearing a motorcycle jacket. As much as I would like to spend my money locally, I will be going to a bigger city to buy a UTV. I will never go back to Iron Pony in Mansfield.
My 16 year old son took the rear wheel to his pit bike in to see if they could change the tube. He was told that store policy is to only change the tire and tube, the tire would be another $30 so it "will be around $40". He wanted his pit bike for a race this weekend so he went ahead and told them to change it. After the work was complete and he went to pay they told him that there was about $20 in service fees. Completely understandable but to a 16 year old that has never taken something to a bike shop it was a surprise. Everywhere you go these days you sign an estimate first, even an oil change! Iron Pony should really institute this process to save confusion. Very disappointed in their customer service.
Called to get an appointment for an oil change and the dude on the phone didn't know what a Yamaha MT-07 was. Asked me if it was a scooter. I'll just stick to the Columbus Ironpony.
The staff are extremely nice and professional. Applied for a small loan through threm two separate times and got denied. (735 credit score, paying on student loans 8 years). Second time was with a co-signer and still was denied. Other than that this place was great.
Work done in very reasonable time. Labor $90.00 HR. You have to purchase tires from them to have tires put on. But will price match! Found one bad bearing on rear wheel and only charged half on Labor since wheel was already off for tire change. Nice to know they can be trusted!
This is Part 1 of my review.....new customer, first choice since moving up from Texas(where riding is year round and your mech becomes your friend). Y'all have been awesome. Christian has been very good with communication and keeping me up to date on my Gen 2 Hayabusa. Parts took a little while to get....weather and the season helped with that. I look forward to hearing her, riding her, and completing this review as well. Expect another 5 stars and I'll for sure check out your shop in person once good riding weather hits. Thanks for everything folks.
Part 2.... so, got my Hayabusa back, 4 weeks later. Covered in oil residue/finger prints, fairings(right side aren't mounted all the way), metal guard on the right side of the headlight isn't seated right and 1/2 inch out of place, and when I tried to adjust my fairing, one of the plastic mounts broke. Bike was picked up and worked on at 100% cosmetically. Came back to me in worse condition. Not pleased.
Part 3......glad to say that these guys are still taking care of me and the Busa. I gotta say the customer service is second to none and if mistakes are made these guys go above and beyond to correct them. Honestly wish we had this kind of service from brand stores in Texas. Thanks guys. Seriously. I was perturbed before, but you all really are some of the best.
I had my Kawasaki VN750 carburetors rebuilt about a year ago and they are already leaking! The choke never did work properly after having them service the carbs, the mechanic said I should replace the throttle cables when I went to pick it up. I think he bent them while working on the bike. There was nothing wrong with them when I took it in. The bike only has 2,500 miles on it, no way the cables were bad. I called today and they said there's nothing they can do about it...6 month warranty on service work. What a waste of time and money...$250 just to having to take it somewhere to have it done right. I would not recommend this service shop for any repairs especially carburetor rebuilds!!
This is a dream place to motorcycle lovers, all kind of accessories, wide variety of brands and models. A new guy that work in sales, Daniel, treat me really good, extremely professional, took all the time and answer all my questions. I definitely will come back any time needed.
I bought my 2020 Kawasaki Z125 from here. Joe was extremely helpful with any and all questions I had, and the rest of the staff was very courteous, I will definitely buy more bikes from them in the future.
On the corner of Ashland Road and 6th Avenue, Pony Powersports has a good selection of Honda's, Suzuki's, and other bikes and 4 wheelers. They also have well trained mechanics to keep those bikes in good condition.
Horriable place to go! Me and my husband have spent over 30000 dollars there and you get treatedg like it doesn't matter. We sent our Honda Shadow motor cycle in and range atv. We was told it will be looked at by the end of the week and should get it back with in 2 weeks. We got it back a month later. There was zero communication the hole time. We keep calling in and we keep getting the run around. No one cared to answer questions and everyone just wanted to pass us off to someone else. We were giving prices in the beginning that we said it was fine to do. But when we get it back it was double the price we was told. We got it picked up to do a tune up on our 2yr old atv and one back tire on our motorcycle. They put 2 tires on and did turn up. We were told the total would be around $600 and it ended up being almost $1000. The day we was supposed to get it back they were supposed to call us to do payment over phone and they never did. So we called them and they didn't even have us on the schedule. Lucky the sale manager brought it to us. We did a complaint while they still had it and no one ever called us back. Very unorganized and needs new management. I will never go back and will never go to the one in columbus also. No thanks
The people were very helpful in my selection of what bike I wanted and one that would suit me best. They explained everything thoroughly and In a way I understood. The day I went to buy the bike they specifically tried to find the one for me since they were all sold out.
Had a part ordered for my motorcycle that came in sooner than expected. The part was installed quickly and well done. I highly recommend them to anyone needing service/repairs and/or looking to buy a motorcycle. Will be returning for any service in the future!
Terrible went to look for some four-wheelers got stuck dealing with some guy who hardly knew anything about ATVs let alone how to put in a credit application there selection is piss poor
Called in to get new rings and gaskets installed and they said we do that by the Sesone it shouldent go buy Sesone it should go buy it needs fixed then fix it that's your job
I can t say enough about the great experiences we have had with Pony Powersports. We are a family of riders and appreciate how engaged the pony staff is in their commitment to providing the A+ customer experience. Today was our first visit to the Mansfield location and GM Joe and staff were no different. Totally worth the trip from Columbus to purchase our new KTM!
They act as though it's a bother for them to do anything for you. Basically feel you have to beg them to take your money because they could care less!!! Will not be wasting anymore of my time going here. I will drive to Cleveland or Columbus.
Went in the other day to buy tires for the harley and have them installed. The price was fantastic and the service folks where very friendly and fast. But when I got the bike home there's a two inch round dent in my side cover that wasn't there before. Just had the side cover off the day before to install an alarm Siren, and there was no blemishes. With the amount of money I saved having my tires serviced there, I would have not really cared about the dent if they'd have just been forthright and let me know. Maybe with a small discount on future service work, which I would have had done there, would have been more than good enough for me. But they didn't tell me about the dent, so I wouldn't recommend this place if you love your scooter.
Grason the salesman was very helpful and polite the rest of the staff wasent so friendly like having a store close to home i hope the customer service improves we will see
Took 4 wheeler in and they were going to charge almost 2k at pony to fix plus they charged over$100 to diagnose took to another shop and cost $300 for parts and labor. Was told it needed a lot of parts but it only needed 2. Will not use them again. Consumer watch who you deal with it may cost you your savings just saying .
I purchased my used 2016 Rancher at Pony in 2018. Fantastic machine. Over the weekend I wrecked it. I called Pony. They said. We will come pick it up Wednesday and take care of it and deal with insurance company. I couldnt have asked for better service. You guys continue to earn my future business.
