I had not been to McArdle's in 10+ years because it had gone downhill, but they really have turned things around! Went for Friday dinner with Mom and we got just the experience we were after: Beer battered haddock with fries & creamy coleslaw for her and broiled scallops with roasted butternut squash & turnips, with some sort of honey glaze on the bottom of the vegetables that was not too sweet or overwhelming. Very clean and the staff was pleasant, efficient and professional. I'll be back :)

The food is always tasty delicious, and fresh. Nothing disappoints. The fish fry especially, so far, is my favorite. Once of the best I've had. Their sweet potato fries are actually crispy, and they never are anywhere. The portions are plenty, and the service is very pleasant, too.

Food has always been very good, didn't know you did catering pick up.
Wanted to do a pulled pork dinner catered. Tried 2 other chain places. They never got back to me after a week. I Googled Pulled pork catering and McArdles came up on top. Called and spoke with someone who gave me to John and I explained since it now had become a short notice for 20 or so people. Down to 2 days. Everyone there was professional, polite and very accommodating. John said he would take care of it. Wish I had done this in the first place. Service, communication, and help was fantastic. Food was better. Thank you all at McArdles for a wonderful experience. Everyone said food was great. Will do it again.

Excellent best lobster bisque anyway. Steak sandwich was fantastic

Food was great. Huge portions and reasonably priced.

The French Onion soup was delicious. The corned beef on the reuben was chunks & tough. Would make a return visit.

Great atmosphere! Great staff all very friendly and the Food is always fantastic! Our family have been patrons for many years and will continue to be for years to come!

Very underwhelming meal. Nachos were a salad instead of cheese. The burger was okay. Basically it's diner food at restaurant prices. I hope their drinks are good but the food is ehh...

Far over priced, couldn't afford a drink or dessert

Food good. Had the California Cobb. Service at the end was a little slow but food came out correctly and quickly.

The food was good and the staff are very nice, It's pretty pricey but it's in fairport so your paying for the social status of fairport. Lol

We have been to Mcardles a bunch of times and have never had bad service or food. Friendly people with a good menu that should please just about anyone. Casual and relaxing atmosphere.

Friday night fish fry, plus the seafood chowder, and some craft beer! Rochester at it's best!

Very unfortunate that we had a bad experience here. The food was good but expensive, when we went to pay I had vouchers for credit towards my bill to use and the manager came over and was rude and told me I was wrong I couldn t use them and we owed the full bill. If they would ve told me that prior when I asked I would not have come here in the first place. I sadly will not be returning here.

Nice atmosphere, wonderful staff and service, and some very tasty food...overall superb dining experience!

We have been going here for a few years now and it never disappoints! Just stopped by for a late night dinner and had a wonderful time. The staff is excellent--tonight Laura was our server and she was great! The food is always fresh and delicious, the music is always perfect (and never too loud!), and the ambiance is friendly while also intimate and cozy. We love McArdle's!

Stumbled on this place while visiting the area. Great menu. Food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Server and owner went out of their way to address my son's food allergies. If we lived here, we"d be regulars.

Always a wonderful experience! Their menu and specials are so creative and delicious that they make it hard (in a good way} to choose what to order. The owner is always there, checking in to make sure everyone is happy, which is such a nice touch!

Wonderful lunch. I had the french onion soup and split the potato skins app with my companion and my companion had the cajun panini sandwich. Very delicious.

It's ok, not a traditional Irish pub, menu is adequate, no real atmosphere there. Runs like a chain restaurant

The Ribeye my ladies shared was great as were the Tenderloin tips in my salad.

We love the fish fry (Cod or Haddock!) and the steak and arugula salad plus the cobb salad is solid. The outside is nice in the summer and even when it gets a little cold out they have heaters so it works. The owner, John, is the 99% of the time to care care of anything you need! The waitstaff has all been there for several years and are fast and efficient!

Last minute dinner for Valentine's Day. Called and they had an opening. Got in at 5:30pm. Staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. Food was good and the dishes that passed by me looked wonderful. I will definitely go there again.

Great food and wonderful atmosphere! This is one of our go to restaurants for brunch or dinner with our family! The staff is friendly and the owner is very personable, our kids always look for him as soon as we walk in. They are doing a great job with takeout as well, so support them and get a great meal cooked by others!

Went to lunch here with a group of 8 on a Saturday. Service was great. I tried the Bourbon Bacon Burger. It was delicious! Upgraded the fries to onion rings and got a decent portion size. The rings were with every penny. The coffee was tasty and smooth. The prices are extremely fair for the quality of the food. I will definitely go back to this restaurant.

Food was very good and excellent service from Laura.

The waitress welcomed us and was so nice. She gave us the history of the restaurant and shared all of the specials with us as well. The prices were reasonable too. This was only my first time but i'm sure the second time around will be great too.

What a wonderful experience great food friendly staff great atmosphere they were also gracious enouh to open an hour early for our party of 12 after my grandathers funeral to accommodate us will be visiting again soon :)

We enjoyed a lovely evening and dinner on the patio. Service was great, and the restaurant was immaculately clean! We started with the Cinnamon Apple Smash drink, which was very tasty. My husband had the Chicen Caeser wrap. He had to ask for extra caeser dressing because he said it tasted like they maybe had forgotten it. But the waitress brought some on the side right away, so no harm, no foul. I had the Bourbon Bacon Burger, which was very messy, but VERY delicious! Great evening, fantastic restaurant!!

Great local restaurant with a good good menu and always good food. The Sunday brunch is good, try the pancakes, they're outstanding. Reasonable prices and family and kid friendly.

Good restaurant overall but I do not recommend their Ruben

We were at Fairport canal days and my wife wanted one of their lobster rolls. She has an allergy and needs to make sure the lobster roll is ok. Most vender these day are to busy to figure it out. Not McArdles, right away he called his baker and got confirmation on the bread. When he got off the phone with him he called his chef and confirmed the lobster was also ok. We are great full for the effort that was put into finding out all the correct information and will be dining at there main location much more regularly.
