Our company provides lunch for our employees on Fridays, and Mazzaro's is our favorite spot!! Great deals on good-sized portions of the sandwiches that we order. Highly recommended, just make sure you order ahead, or have time to hang out as being one of the cooler places in town it is usually quite busy.

A must for everyone to visit! They've really improved the parking, and you'll see why it's so busy once you go. #18 is my go- to sandwich : Sesame Tuna Wasabi. They make the best gelato and have an amazing bakery counter. Fresh pastas and sauces, fresh roasted coffee, freshly baked breads. A marvelous wine and cheese room. And a nice selection of Italian import foods. Grab your number as soon as you enter - they area always busy, but the service is fast. A nice patio is attached for outdoor dining.
Love taking new people here, they are always impressed. The food the desserts the Manhattan specials love love love. Husband even even proudly wears his Mazzaro's tshirt
Fantastic place. As a St Petersburg local is a great place to buy fresh pasta, fantastic breads, and wonderful prepared food. Pricing is moderate, equal to a dinner out at a decent restaurant but the quality is on par with the best Italian food in the area
Loved it. Had a great ahi tuna sandwich. Just wish I had time to shop because it looked incredible. Options are in incredible abundance. You have to stop.
A great place to eat and buy with one the best Italian food I've ever tried. Everything's freshly made right there in the market, and you're going to love all the natural tastes that they have to offer.
I really only stop in for lunch and I have a little constructive criticism on how Mazzaro's could improve the shopping experience for my fellow lunch rush folks (aside from banning the snow birds from entering the store between 12-1 ;)> ). 1. Get some kind of online ordering system and a quick pick-up area. This will also help with 2. Figure out a way to encourage those waiting for their deli orders to take a walk or wait elsewhere. I have never ordered anything from the deli cases because there's a mob of people standing around and I can't see what's in them.
Sandwiches that feed 2 people, ha,ha I get 2 days lunches. A market that carries everything you could think of to make an authentic Italian meal. The butchers are so very helpful and you will not find these excellent cuts at a typical grocery store. A wine cellar where the staff can tell you the provenance of the wine, loved that. A gift shop with Italian imports as well as additional European country's imports. We love Marzzano's.
I absolutely love this market. Having the initial displeasure of living across the street and never being able to get out of my driveway, although curious I wasn't to eager to wander inside due to the enormous crowds. Temptation overcame me so upon entering I thought I'd reached the pearly gates! From wine, cheese, bakery, fresh deli, and superb fresh meat, olives and veggies I was hooked! I now understand the little hidden treasure is well worth it's weight in gold!
Great food. I'm a baker. Yet every year this is the place I get my birthday cake. As does my son. What don't I like? That's the easier question. So here goes...
Everything is wonderful at this market and I am so happy I discovered one rather inexpensive treasure that I could absolutely live on for the rest of my life, lol.... they are the 100% Kobe beef hot dogs and they are in the butcher's counter area, You have to ask for them, they are just a $1.75 a piece, and let me tell you, you have never tasted a hot dog that has tasted so good in your whole life, that's a promise!! Enjoy! ( Just put them in boiling water for a few minutes)
Great Italian market with all kinds of pasteries, sausages, homemade lasagnas, salads, wines, and coffees. We always visit here when we come into town.
This is a wonderful experience. The best Italian bread, pastries and deli. Own made pasta and sauce s. Great cheese selections and good wine shop. Highly recommend.
A great Italian market with a broad selection of fresh, packaged and imported items, butcher counter, bakery, deli and many prepared items and fresh pasta. Espresso and gelato bar and large enclosed patio for eating entrees and sandwiches purchased at deli. Cheese and wine rooms, too.
Holy sh@! Do yourself a favor and go here. If u like Italian food savory or sweet then I promise this is the place for you. They have a hot food area with amazing sandwiches and foods. They have a coffee bar, a bakery, a butcher, a cured meats counter, a wine room and a huge cheese room. They have frozen and cold foods made in house ready to be heated to their prior glory. They have produce and an olive bar and every single thing I've had from here has been top notch. It's a 50 minute drive for me and I try to go twice a month. Seriously my only complaint is i only found it a few months ago lol.
This place rivals the best Italian markets in the Northeast. Freshly prepared & frozen food, a huge selection of wines & cheese, desserts, fresh pasta and bread, the best to go subs and so much more. Even the outside of the market is unlike any other I've ever visited. Oh, and their retail store next door is great as well.
Going here is well worth the time but do know that it can get insanely busy at times, especially on Saturdays. Wish they were open on Sundays but I'm sure it helps their staff recover from all the work that goes into making this place so awesome. I wish they had a Tampa location but it's still worth the drive to stock up the freezer
A classic restaurant/market in the Bay area. Love getting a double con panna at the bar. Usually order the portabella or tuna sandwich as well. So much to see and try here... wines, cheese, meats, pasta, desserts --- including top notch pastries, breads, and gelato! Several unique cooking / market items can also be purchased.
I love this place, a little piece of Italy, good food and products, wether you just want to sit and eat Italian food, or have a coffee with Italian desserts or a Gelato or buy products to prepare at home, or just want to feel like if you were in a little market in Europe, this is the place, gets crowded, and the place is a bit small.
This has to be on your list of places to visit, whether you are a local or a tourist. Don t miss their butcher shop or coffee bar. We go here every few months and it is a must before we have guests, as the food is straight from Italy and each time we find something new. Try something their bakery this trip!
authentic italian. amazing sandwiches and bakery is unparalleled in st petersburg. cannolis and sfogliatella and those s'mores cookies wrapped by the coffee!!! don't miss the cheese section either off the wine room. great assortment at great prices!
A truly amazing place to find all you Italian needs. The food is amazing, picked up the hot Italian sub, so good. Wish they were in Savannah, but worth a stop, if near by!
