Great food, but on a Friday dinner rush these is not the restaurant for a quick pick up, there under staffed and always late making orders on time.

So glad my husband & I stopped to eat here. We were looking for a breakfast place near our hotel and saw this deli. Excellent soup! I got the Chicken Mish Mosh and my husband got the whole chicken soup. We were not expecting then to be so big and we have enough for dinner and possibly lunch too. Amazing!

so today I called and ordered half of a sandwich and soup and asked for extra lean corned beef and a pastrami sandwich so the order was all wrong
so Sid the mgr was rude he asked me to come back and I told him I dont live so close so he said he can do anything just hope no one experiment what I did again

Soup selection is great, a little salty, but otherwise, very tasty!

Placed an order today for a blueberry pancake and ranchero omelette with bagel. Pancake tasted disgusting, they tasted bitter and like chemical. And there was no bagel. Call to complain and spoke to lexi, who had attitude issue and was like oh i cannot help you because you placed an order via door dash. Door dash is responsible for delivery but not for how the restaurant food taste, and not responsible for the forgotten food item. It is restaurant responsibility to provide eatable food and not to forgot the items that were ordered. Horrible customer service. Not ordering from here ever again.

Tried this place already with a friend and I am addicted since then. I like the awesome vibes and fresh food and drinks. 5 stars from me.

One of the best deli/diners in the area. Staff is great, and the food is even better. It has a great family atmosphere, and all are welcome. It's great at any time of the day.

looks like it can be a great place..but service sometimes is bad.. waited 20 extra minutes after they said it would be ready for 2 sandwiches..rediculous..no apology or nothing ..they should have been able to make this order 2 times in the time I waited plus 2 more times from time ordered..

Only had catered buffet here for my cousin's wedding. Food was good though.

I've been going to Max & Benny's with my family for probably over 20 years, and honestly haven't seen the slightest drop in quality. This place is an institution! The food is all great (I enjoy the sandwiches most, as well as the potato pancakes and matzo ball soup), the service is welcoming, and I can't forget the delicious assorted bread to start. Their bakery always looks so tasty, referring both to their sweet and savory offerings. Love this place!

Corned beef & pastrami sandwich was just the right amount of too much. Potato pancake was dull, not as good as Manny's. Would definitely go back

Ordered two bagel dogs, well one actually char the other boiled and got two boiled. The soup I order was chicken noodle and rice, instead I got cup of water with just rice. I don t complain much but driving over a hour and spending close too 40 just had too.

service was ridiculous slow and food was only average

I am really upset. My husband and I went there today just to get some buns and chopped liver. I also picked up a package of cinnamon bagel chips. First we were standing by the bread while several employees by the cashier were talking. Ignoring us totally. Finally one person went and got the deli guy who was disinterested and seemed bothered to have to wait on us. Then I get home and my favorite bagel chips are stale. As you chew them they are rubbery. It must be nice in the middle of a pandemic that Max and Bennys has so much money they don t need to keep their old customers.

Max and Benny's is THE PLACE for Jewish deli food. Everything here is fantastic and you will not be disappointed.

Great Comfort Food and exceptional deli food and variety

My fav North-shore deli. Actually one of the few deli s still around. If you ve got a taste for Corned Beef or Matzah Ball Soup, this is your place. Busy at times so you might have to wait a few minutes, but while you are you can get some take home from the full service deli section or get yourself some deserts from the bakery. Yes, black and white cookies available (usually). Happy Noshing.

Carry out. Wrong sandwich, wrong drinks, and turkey dinner was missing cranberry sauce. Normally five stars but I was disappointed this time.

I am from Denver CO and we have three Jewish delis in my neighborhood and that simply isn't enough because not a one is close to Max and Bennys quality. The food here is so good that I will be making sure to stop by and get a ruben everytime I return to IL. The atmosphere is a nice family style resturant with lots of seating and a nice place to share a conversation and some challah.

Good price, but the eggs were soggy and the wait was conspicuous as there were only two other tables at the time. Wonderful latke, corned beef and bagels, but the eggs were soggy.

I have been going to Max and bent and Benny's many years since I moved to this area I believe that it is a 10 years or more. It is a wonderful Jewish deli and everything you eat there is exceptional. There is no question that this place has anything but really good food and very good service as well. For those who like to look at sports, they have TVs all around the eating area and you can see anything you want in those TVs. The foods they have are excellent and there's a good number of wonderful foods that they serve. It is a Jewish deli and it is that way and that way only. Big portions and nice flavors that is what they are and every time I get a chance to go there I enjoy eating there as well. Max & Benny's fantastic food fantastic service and fantastic fun!

Been going here since I was a kid. I always bring friends from out of town and they are consistenly impressed by the value and quality of the food.

I've been to this place numerous times in the past but it was decent,but it seems that place getting nastier and nastier any time I come now.Today I've experienced the worse service ever.Waitress was mad and very unfriendly, food was cold and tasteless.Manager no where to be found.
Hope someone will tell manager about this
post so they start improving.
