We worked with Christian Griffin at Maverick Mortgage and if I could give more than 5 stars I would! As first time home buyers we had many questions and he was always so patient and extremely knowledgable. We had a few occasions where we put in offers after hours or over the weekend and he was always quick to respond and send approval letters asap. The sellers of the home we bought had requested a quick close and he was able to make it happen way ahead of schedule. Even our realtor said we had a great lender and she plans to recommend him to future clients. He is extremely professional and trustworthy. I always felt he had our best interest at heart and gave great advice when needed. I'm very happy to recommend his services and will continue to spread the word to friends and family.

We worked with Cristian to purchase our first home with a conventional 30Y Fixed loan. Having the the biggest financial transaction in our lives in front of us, it is easy to get intimidated and feel very caution of lenders and loan officers. The sense of caution is very natural; the stories of people having loan terms pushed onto them are not uncommon. Our priorities for the loan were to realistically match the loan with our financial capacity and to be able to find a loan officer who can communicate on equals and most importantly educate and defend our interests.
Instead of having a classic dedicated real estate representative, we've gone with Redfin to purchase out home - which was a fantastic experience and we strongly recommend it for all hands-on buyers. Christin came highly recommended from out Redfin agent. Before Christian, we've had conversations with other loan officers, but he definitely stood out. It was a pretty easy decision to go with him after our phone "interview". From the very beginning he showed care to ask questions that we cared about: our goals, our financial comfort, and various options we were looking for. As a matter of fact, Christian persuaded us to seek a smaller loan than we originally wanted to better fit our goals and to stay under Jumbo boundary. Worked out well.
Christian is great with communication and takes initiative to reach out with progress status and other information that we may be interested in. We've been in touch almost daily during our escrow. He provided advice about loan locking and suggested to wait; we've locked a week later with a lower rate and lender's credit.
In addition, he reached out to the investing institution to negotiate lower interest rate due to market conditions. He was able to get us another 0.125% rate reduction with no cost for us.
We strongly recommend Christian for both first-time homeowners and experienced buyers.
