Matrix Theatre Company Review

LOVE teaching here, working with these peeps, and the theatre space is neat too!

I love Matrix theatre group. I was with them when i was in High School back in 1990's and they where still meeting up in the old Clark Park YMCA. I very proud of the organization they have become. Please visit their website to see what they are upto.

A Wonderful theater full of quality inspired theater. The cozy size provides an intimate atmosphere for any show. You feel a real sense of community after any show and you're sure to make a new friend or two.

Productions that are always worth seeing, well- executed and with timely subject matter. They also have wonderful children's programs. A vital Detroit institution worth supporting!

Excellent local theatre. A small, intimate space means they have to be on their game. Always topical and socially conscious.

My husband and I, along with some friends, went to see "Dream Deferred: Detroit, 1967," yesterday. It is a wonderful play with wonderful acting. We are not originally from Michigan and did not live in the area in 1967. We learned some things we did not know. The play coupled with the exhibit at the Detroit Historical Museum are great educational experiences. This was my second time seeing a play at the Matrix (my husband's first). It is a small, intimate theater. Because it is small, there are no "bad" seats. We will be sure to go back.

I love this company, its people, its ethics, and the opportunities they provide. I've been teaching artist with them since 2013.
