Spectacular " Do Not Miss" it will blow your socks off.
Very interesting, it is worth visiting. Excellent collection of recovered objects. The volunteers, a magnificent contribution. Thanks
Super museum very well laid out the grandchildren loved it was very interesting and informative and entertaining
Perfect place for people's who love history. For children and adults.
Absolutely amazing. Need couple of times would never tire of seeing it and learning about it. The whole dockyard is probably the best day out ever.
Brilliant go there. Lots of other exhibits. Nelsons Victory. Could make a full day of this dockyard
Astounding museum. Quite simply one of the best I've been to and well worth several hours of your time.
Worth the entry fee, there are many interesting stories and facts as well as the remains of the Mary Rose itself. Very cleverly laid out too.
Lovely day out. Well worth the entrance fee. Lots of information on all the exhibits. You can almost imagine being back there. We stayed there for 4hours and took in a lot of information. Lovely day out
A fascinating visit to a warship that dates back to Henry VIII
Great piece of history. Something for everyone. Henry VIII was amazing!
A great way to spend a few hours and great experience
Very historical guides are well informed ...great to see something so old preserved so well
Great place to go back in time. Henry the VIII QA is amazing.
A most wonderful exhibition not only of our Naval history but of the lives and times of the period.
Came here many many years ago. It has definitely improved and was an interesting visit.
Loved it here. Great location and wonderfully presented. Amazing artefacts on display.
Good display of the Mary Riase ship, but expensive though.
Absolutely loved it. But because prepared to spend a lot more time than you allowed. So fascinating and informative and interesting.
Excellent, well worth a visit, will return again one day
The museum is pretty good. It would benefit as many places do with an audio guide. Unfortunately they have chosen to provide this feature via a phone app. and it is very poor. I hoped the bad reviews against the app. were unkind but I abandoned my efforts after trying to get it to work for 10-15 mins.
Very professional. Takes you back 500 years to see how clever humans are
This is a unique, informative and interactive museum situated on Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. The amount of work involved in the salvage, conservation and ongoing maintenance of the Mary Rose is to be celebrated. The members of staff are friendly and keen to answer your questions. I can't recommend a visit more. Please also visit the Dockyard to see The Victory, The Warrior 1860, The Submarine Museum and Explosion! Take a harbour tour and view other exhibitions. Be warned, a few days are needed here to see everything.
Terrific exhibition, brilliantl layout and presentation. Friendly and informative staff.
A very well put together display giving an insight into life aboard the Mary Rose
Modern museum built around the remains of the HMS vessel Mary Rose sunk in the Bay of Portsmouth (Solent) in 1545 and recovered after 400 years.
WOW! Having followed the story from back in 1982 on TV to seeing her for real... I have no words!
Absolutely amazing, informative and the design of the museum is fantastic . And having your ticket valid for a year means anything you may have missed you can go back and see .
Difficult to find way in - exhibit impressive but signage lacking many trips round to get out eventually
Amazing! I would definitely recommend a visit. Historic Dockyards Portsmouth Annual Passes are available on Groupon. (NB they don't give access during events like the Christmas Market)
A fantastic museum and exhibition with lots of fancy new installations and informations to take part in.
Brilliant day out....loads of great artefacts really well presented and explained
Fabulous day out. Fantastic to see how our ships ruled the waves even back in the 1500s
This is a genuinely sensational museum, full of hi-tech magic and 19,000 artefacts from the vessel.
Amazing museum. Everything is laid out and presenting in an amazing way. A truly wonderful piece of history!
Quite good for the money it tells you all about the tutors although there could be a little more about the Mary rose
Great place. Very impressive and very informative. Easy to access.
This is a very interesting museum. One of the guides was very informative and interesting, really helpful. We could have spent hours reading all the displays too.
A fantastic museum. Loads to see. Lots to learn. Great for kids (maybe not too young). A great way to bring history to life
One of the perks of working in HMNB is that I and my family&friends can get discounted access to the historic dockyard. We like this place - there is so much to do, see, and learn - Mary Rose alone is a few days project to explore in detail. Historic dockyard is great place to learn about the maritime history of the Great Britain and the Royal Navy. The ticket lasts for a whole year giving unlimited access to the historic dockyard - a great bargain for the price.
Pretty impressive museum that shares a story with visitors. It is a little interactive which is not bad for children. Pretty dark and cold places
Superb place to visit, and even better than anticipated. Atmospheric, informative and wonderful to learn about the ship and the men who built her.
Top attraction in Portsmouth must see for all the family
We had a fantastic day out. Would highly recommend .
Fantastic experience! So much to see. You really get a flavour of what life was like on board.
A fantastic museum. Be transported back to the maritime days of Henry viii...
Excellent museum. Full of artefacts and really knowledgeable staff. Well worth a visit.
Very interesting for the whole family. My 8 year old nephew loved all interactive games and information boards.
Excellent. If you want an enjoyable family day out, this is the place to visit.
Need I explain...if you dont know why it's so good.....GO
Great visit to the Mary Rose museum. Quite emotional to think about the unknown lives lost when it sank. Lots of opportunities for hands on today and a talk by Henry 8th himself!
Fantastic set up knowledgeable staff fantastic to see it all will definitely go back again
Amazing place such a good day out and the guides are just brilliant so knowledgeable
Fantastic display of such an amazing artifact. There are a few things left unexplained that I would have liked explaining a bit more (like the processes involved with recovery and preserving the ship) but overall a wealth of information. Don't just buy a ticket for this though, get the pass for all museums onsite. HMS Victory for one, shouldn't be missed.
Very good, but since they split away from Portsmouth Heritage Dockyard I will probably not rejoin
Great visit full of history. The museum is one of the best I have visited far exceeded our expectations.
Excellent exhibition and presented by passionate well informed staff. The displays are fantastic and the ships hull was amazing, loved the layout of the display.
