This is by far my favorite winery in Sonoma/Santa Rosa.
The grounds are to die for. So beautiful and the most amazing wines. I love their Pinot noir and Rose the most. Make sure to try the pizza too!

These folks have become a local favorite because they are truly hospitable with a nice location and solid wines. The staff have always been excellent at making us guests happy with no pretense, but solid knowledge. Oh, now they have Rose in Magnums, just sayin'!!!!

One of the best winery experiences from my trip to California. The staff was fantastic and the venue was beautiful. We were told they are adding outdoor games and a bar. Awesome spot to come hang out and enjoy the outdoors.

One of my favorite wineries for wine tasting. Price of tasting is very affordable ($15) and is waived if you buy a bottle of wine, which are also priced well - in $20-$30 range. The best part is that they encourage you to walk around, sit outside, etcetera and they come find you with the next wine in the tasting list. While technically speaking you can do this anywhere, this is the first place I didn't feel like I had to ask. They also have chickens walking around which are adorable, and colorful chairs under a tree facing the vineyard which makes for the most relaxing place to sit and sip.

My family and I have been enjoying Martin Ray for years and we absolutely love it here! Not only are their wine and pizza fantastic, but so is the ambiance set in the heart of the Russian River Valley. The grounds are gorgeous. If you re planning a trip to Sonoma county, you should absolutely add this spot to your list!

One of the best winery experiences we have had. Bocce ball. Outdoor seating. Great staff. Extra pours. Every wine was amazing. First wine club we have joined in a decade. Treat yourself and stop by.

What a wonderful winery. We tasted some amazing wines. The wine barrel with a 4 person table in it out in the vineyard was the most amazing place to have lunch in. Wow. If you are looking for great wines, perfect setting and an unforgettable experience, Martin Ray Vineyards is the place to go! Loved it!

Visited on May 13, 2013. First winery of the day. Greg was our host and he was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, courteous, professional and very personable. We bought a bottle of the Pinot Noir, although their Chardonnay was hard to walk away from. We learned a lot and went away with a smile. Would go back in a heart beat and will recommend to friends and family. They have something for everyone.

ONE OF MY VERY FAVORITES !!! The tasting room is run by a great bunch! Saddle up to the bar, or, sit in the areas out front of the winery. It's very nice. The wine? Some of my favorite. Years ago, and I REALLY miss this, they would tap a barrell - and - for 12 bucks a JUG (about a gallon) you'd get it right out of the barrel. And - for every 10 you bought (over time, of course) you'd get a free one. Those days are gone, but, it does NOT stop me from stopping in there every once in a while. I miss their Ga-Versta-Meaner, too. Heck .. I can't spell that for the life of me. It was great on a hot summers day. Early harvest - not the desert wine.

Staff really great! They allowed us to sit outside wherever we wanted and served us all the 5 wine tastings, one by one, in the chair facing the vineyards!!! Amazing service and experience!! Tasting was $10 but waved when I got a bottle!! Thanks a lot!!

Fantastic venue and great wine. Not only did we taste great wine and place an order for wines we cannot get at home, our host suggested a great place for lunch just down the road. It was 100+ degrees when we visited so we didn't order a picnic lunch but had the weather been cooler we would have. The grounds are beautiful and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.
