Beautiful grounds and tasting room. Their Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs are all delicious, not a single bad one in the whole tasting flight. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly (special shout-out to Olivia for being a total sweetheart answering my many questions!). Definitely coming back again.

Hop Kiln estate is in a beautiful area! We visited a few days ago and loved it. The wine on the tasting menu was exceptional, the server that took care us (I didn t catch his name) was very informative, provided wonderful conversation, and was very warm and welcoming. We loved it so much we signed up for the wine club! Would definitely return here or to their other property next time we are in the area.

Hop Kiln is one of my favorite wineries to stop at when I bring out of town friends to Sonoma County. They don't have too vast a selection, which means they really put time into each wine (many of which are medal winners). They have a great price range, and it's very easy to walk out with half a case. I'm partial to their rose and sparkling rose, but the three pinots are nice to side-by-side. The tasting room isn't too big, but the exterior is beautiful, and there's a nice view. As estate wines, all the grapes are grown on site, and having a map of where the blocks are is very, very nice to see where what you're drinking came from.

Visited Oct 22, 2018. Host Alyssa is 6 star. We arrived later than expected and had only 1.5hrs to do any tasting. We never felt rushed nor treated as if they wanted to close and go home on a Sunday evening. Instead the most welcoming service and a fantastic opportunity to try many Landmark wines and vintages. This is the way we felt before we even tasted the wines. (tasting only improved that) Personally, I like Landmark Chardonnay's but had not tried their Pinot Noir's nor others. Suffice to say the highlight of our 2 days in the area. Will remain a fan and even greater admiration for the Landmark brand. Excellent treatment, tasting and conversation. Clearly Landmark cares about the experience a visitor can have. Our friend from the bay area had not had any experience with Landmark products but left a member of their club and several $$$$ short after leaving with a great sampling. Fortunate to have such a great time. Will certainly visit again. Thank you Alyssa

Hop Kiln Winery: Crafting the Finest Wines with the Best Grapes

Hop Kiln Winery is a renowned winery located in Sonoma County, California. The winery has been producing some of the finest wines for over 40 years. The company's philosophy and guiding principle are simple - the best grapes make the best wines. This philosophy has helped Hop Kiln Winery to create award-winning wines that have gained recognition from wine enthusiasts worldwide.

The History of Hop Kiln Winery

The history of Hop Kiln Winery dates back to 1973 when it was founded by Tom Dehlinger and his wife, Carole. The couple had a passion for wine and wanted to create something unique that would stand out in the crowded wine industry. They purchased an old hop kiln building in Russian River Valley and converted it into a winemaking facility.

Over time, Hop Kiln Winery grew in popularity as more people discovered its exceptional wines. In 1993, Landmark Vineyards acquired Hop Kiln Winery, bringing together two companies with similar philosophies on winemaking.

Today, Hop Kiln Winery continues to produce some of the finest wines using traditional techniques combined with modern technology.

The Vineyards

At Hop Kiln Winery, they believe that great wine starts with great grapes. That's why they carefully select their vineyards based on soil type, climate conditions, and grape variety.

The winemaker works closely with growers throughout Sonoma County to ensure that only premium quality grapes are used in their wines. Some of their vineyard sources include:

- Russian River Valley
- Sonoma Coast
- Anderson Valley
- Santa Lucia Highlands

Each vineyard source brings unique characteristics to their wines resulting in complex flavors and aromas that are distinctively Californian.

Winemaking Process

At Hop Kiln Winery, they use traditional techniques combined with modern technology to craft their exceptional wines. Their state-of-the-art facility includes stainless steel tanks for fermentation as well as oak barrels for aging.
