Wonderful! Things I never knew! Enjoyed EVERYTHING!!
Great way to discover the history of Martin Luther King and a must see in the city. Great way to understand what was going on during the civil rights movement as well. Be sure to see the house of King's birth, and the church where he and his father preached.
I liked it very much. But I was expecting it to be more wowing, after all it's Mr. King who we're talking about.
A part of Atlanta and our nation's most important history. Come and honor the man and his legacy .
we all need to learn about our history black or white great place
Wonderful Experience Our Ugly American experience is here for us to learn and grow from our mistakes to make this a better country to live in.
Visited the center the day before Thanksgiving only to knock on how visitor center door and call. Discovered the center closed at 2:00pm by visiting the bookstore. Signs and phone message stating change of hours would be sufficient especially for tourists,
Great experience. Expect to walk around outside to other buildings.
Visiting the MLK museums takes me back. I enjoyed exploring the life and time of his legacy.
Loved it the reenactment of MLK speech was astounding
Worth a visit.
The front desk didn't tell us that the tour starts at the bookstore and not King's center.
We always end our annual Good Friday pilgrimage here. Join us next year!
Very good for children to know that everything you have now was not so easy
The place was amazing. They have many must see displays. The resting place of the late great Dr Martin Luther King and his wife is a must see. Its free to enter. I would recommend this place.
It's nice to go by and pay your respects to this awesome leader!
Beautiful and heart breaking museum. The Gandhi statue was amazing and there was a speaker there sharing Gandhi 's journey. There's also a theater to view a short film on MLK's childhood.
A wealth of history and information. We visited with our kids and was a day full of lessons. We will be back and we will donate.
I love it here! Please bring your children to learn and walk the historic streets around here. They will learn so much.
Very blessed to be able to visit the MLK site. So much to see, so much to take in. Very emotional visit. A definite must see/visit for all
So much history to add to my memory bank. Sitting in the church was an experience that everyone should get. So soothing and calming to my soul. So thankful for Dr. King and everyone that has contributed to my future
Definitely a place you should go to experience history, enjoy a great scenery & accomplish a meaningful pass time whole visiting #ATL
I am so glad this place exists... So informative and emotional at the same time! Understanding the struggles that were had and how they somewhat became overcame is interesting... The feeling of liberation at this park brings a new feel for life... I Absolutely loved it!
This is a place of great insight of the world we live in
Today.
Such a moving experience. Definitely a must do when you re in Atlanta!
It is a wonderful ,enlightened experience that everyone who care about humanity should have. The place is larger than I expected. It's not possible to get the full experience in just a couple of hours. I plan on returning to complete the tours.
This National Park was an amazing look into the life of a man who changed attitudes in America. We were able to visit the home and church where Martin Luther King Jr. grew up, and through an excellent guide we learned about his parents, grandparents and siblings. The guide pointed to pieces of furniture and mad them come alive in his presentation.
The museum displayed pictures and items from this man's life, told stories, contained quotes and showed videos. The movie in the center was excellent and took us back to the 1950's and 1960's.
The only thing which needs improved is signage which leads to parking. The parking is convenient, but not where you would expect it. The entrance is two blocks behind the museum, and is connected by an excellent walkway.
Valuable information found here. I absolutely loved the visit!
A must see if you are in Atlanta! If you want to know about the history of this great man visit. Come early and sign up for a tour of his house.
Beautiful, walkable, historic. I enjoyed how close all of the sites were.
A learning experience. I would recommend this to anyone
Kudos to the National Park Service for managing the historic site so well. Martin Luther King is a giant - and the historic site does a wonderful job in showcasing his amazing, inspirational life. The exhibits provide a unique and realistic glimpse and experience into the times when Rev King was alive. I came away even more inspired. A must see if you are in Atlanta.
First time there. I thought it was nice. But closed on that day
It's an experience of a life time to visit a place were some one has given his life for his people to be treated equally.i will never for get this day
Amazing. Make sure that you go to the Visitor Center to get tickets to the home. Great tour. Lots to see at the center, the church is interesting and King Center for non violence is inspiring.
What he taught us should be implemented now. Conquer hatred with love. Fight prejudice with truth. I thought I knew so much about him and learned so much more.
We will enjoyed the place an history they displayed.
I love visiting the King Center as a native of Atlanta Georgia I have been going as a child now I am more than fascinated with the additions and more knowledge. Absolute most visit when coming to Atlanta.
Such a surreal experience in history. To walk in the house and see memorabilia that belonged to Dr. & Mrs. King! Thank God for those the preserve his life belongings. Very impressive collection. Ghandi also.
Beautiful history lesson.VERY disappointed at how this historical building is NOT being cares for.city for it was more important to repair fountain next door than preserving our history so generations to come may learn.ATLANTA do better at prioritizing!
Very informative!! I advise anyone who can to visit. Very eye-opening
This is a great place to learn even more about MLK jr history.
It was a wonderful experience to actually see and visit such a historical site...
Very knowledgeable personnel, very helpful and aware of the visitors, I asked for a specific movie and a gentleman said yes to my request and played the movie for the visitors that I had at home.
Beautiful space honoring MLK Jr. - I love the reflection pool and eternal flame
One of the great places to visit in Atlanta that has so much meaning. There is a free short film that I highly recommend. There are many exhibits so plan accordingly and prepare for a bit longer if it is a holiday weekend. I went on Indigenous People Day(Only Christophers we celebrate are Wallace and Big Pun)with the family.
I was very impressed with the detail they went into the photos and videos of is story it was well worth the effort to visit
If you want to learn about the history of Martin Luther King. This is the place to go. I have been several times and I am still learning. Looking forward to going again.
I loved it here and I am so glad I brought my kids to better understand not only the history and life of MLK, but to also gain a better appreciation of our country's past struggles. This is a must visit place for everyone.
Some fantastic, if incomplete, displays of MLKs awards and personal effects. A few of them were somewhat amateurishly displayed, witg either no information or a short typed notes cut out and either taped or pinned to the display.
Surely there are many more such effects, and with a little professional curating the display could ne made worthy of the man himself.
Still, this part of the site is head and shoulders above the King Museum across the street, which is in need of total renovation and complete makeover of the displays, which are literally falling apart. That site feels neglected; which is disgraceful when we consider how important MLK is to America.
Wonderful and eye opening step back in history. The burial site is absolutely beautiful and very serene. An amazing man!
