Five of us visited on a pretty busy Saturday night and we could not have ask for/expected better service.
Everyone said their food was really good and our server was constantly stopping by for refills and checking on us.
We even got to see Herd basketball player West. Overall, great visit.
The hamburger came out, it was the opposite of what I ordered and medium well instead of well and the steak my friend ordered came out rare instead of medium rare.the waitress gave us our bill without asking to see if we wanted dessert. When we were able to order dessert, the cobbler was only half warmed.
Damn!!!! the beer was cold...try the Italian grinder...you won't be disappointed...
Might be the best grilled turkey/bacon/cheddar sub I ever ate. Put some grilled asparagus on top was the final touch! Nice job, ya Herd

Don't eat here unless you want salmonella. I ordered potato skins and a cajun pasta with shrimp delivered and when I opened my food at home, the pasta had broken egg shells in it. I was sick, which is why I didn't pick it up in person in the first place, and was so sick I actually picked the first couple pieces out. When I found the third I finally took a picture and called the restaurant. The bartender was very sweet and helpful, it clearly wasn't her fault, but first the cook tried to say they were pieces of shrimp tails, as if I couldn't tell the difference. When I explained they were very clearly egg shells, she offered to make me a new pasta or refund the money for it, to which I asked her to just refund my money for only the pasta, not the potato skins since nothing was wrong with those. She also took my information to send me a gift card in addition to refunding my money, even though I told her that wasn't necessary. I never recieved a refund, nor a giftcard, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this review. I'm not surprised they were so careless they dropped eggshells in my pasta, but I am surprised they blatantly lied and offered a refund for their mistake, as they should, and then didn't correct the problem.
I was extremely disappointed in the food we received. The wings were not even cooked and both sets of fries were almost raw. It may be the worst Jambalaya I have ever tasted and it went straight in the trash. The only thing I can say positive is that the Mac and Cheese bites were hot and tasted pretty good but only because they were forgotten the first time and the driver had to go back and get them. There is way too much competition in this city for your food to be this bad. You have to do better!!! 58.00 in the trash and you lost a customer!
My first time there bad food and bad service our waitress was only worried about cleaning up for closing time and my God that steak I brought it home to make a pair of work boots I'll never go back again
Rather large place with multiple entrances. The facilty has a "sports bar" restaurant feel to it that doesn't quite hit the mark. The food selection is decent however their drink selection is not as very strong compared to some of the other local places. Service is average or what you would expect; slow when they are slow and slower when busy. They gave some decent specials and the waitstaff seem like they want to do the right thing.
The food was pretty darn good. I was honestly expecting average food, but, oh boy, was I surprised. The hamburger could use a wee bit of seasoning, though. And our waiter was cool af, too.

The food is just damn good! The environment is so relaxed, the game is always on a screen but you don't feel like it's overwhelmingly loud and rowdy! The service is usually really good but they do get busy and you have to expect to wait patiently at times! This cafe represents a piece of our community's history and they do it WELL!
Always great food and pleasant service. Super clean and well managed. Best sports themed restaurant around. Spacious and comfortable too. Great design. Family favorite restaurant for years and many to come. The menu is like none other. Something for everyone. We come all the way from Charleston to come to The Cafe. Thanks for the memories!
Slow, especially if your picking up a to go order.. servers are a mix, some are good and some are to stuck up to care about their tables. Compared to Fat Patty's near by, Fat Patty's is better and that's saying something.

I have been here before and the food was good but service seems to be slow. Today was not an exception! I ordered curbside online and was given a time my food would be ready. I showed up on time, waited 10 minutes and after watching wait staff inside running around like chickens with their heads cut off it was obvious I needed to go inside. Was sent to the bar area and it took about 5 more minutes to get acknowledged then about another 5 minutes for someone to pickup my food (which was bagged and ready - I could see it) and hand it to me! Short staffed, overworked, overwhelmed and couldn t keep up. Was slightly busy but not too bad. Of course by they time I got my food and got it back home it was cold and needed warmed up which isn t unusual for some takeout. I expected better though. Food was ok.

Website ordering wasn t working so we decided to call. They advertise curbside pickup but they did away with their spaces and made me come inside. It was noon on a Thursday so I drove around forever looking for a parking space. No warning ahead of time on the phone. Then the chick at the bar asked my name and handed me my bag with not so much as a thank you or have a nice day . Food is ok . Had a bad experience last time I went with my family. Will not be going back.
The food is always great and the service is wonderful. Also for any picky eaters they can accommodate any palette.

I think I've been here two times; the first visit was pretty okay but this visit was much better. Our server was nice and the food was great but the service was kind of slow. I'll still give it 5 stars because there food was so good.

This was my first visit here and after hearing rave reviews I was not disappointed. The food, although a bit pricey by my standards, was absolutely delicious. My family all ordered different items so we could share and try a variety of items. Everything was amazing! The appetizer queso was a bit spicy for the youngins but I loved it. We will definitely be visiting again, hopefully soon!
I like the burger and the rotisserie chicken sandwich. Staff is friendly. Price is a little high for what you get but they keep the building in great shape and have a great patio that had beautiful plants on it all year long so I don't mind the prices much.
The bar is extensive and has a decent selection of craft beers from the region.
The food is fairly priced but the service is consistently bad and the food will make you sick.

Great spot in downtown Huntington. The restaurant is huge (probably too big really) but it's always easy to get seated because of it. A pretty solid menu overall but their burgers are severely underrated around here; they're always fresh and cooked perfectly. I've had a couple things that were just OK, maybe premade stuff? Not sure. And I've had a couple beers that tasted "off" before, maybe lack of cleaning the beer lines? Either way, great location and solid food.
Pleasantly surprised this visit. We had not been since 2014 because it had gotten dirty, the wait staff was horrible and the food sucked. This visit was a complete turn around. Our waitress was very professional and charming. Food was to die for.

Came in with a friend. Was excited to see the all you can eat ribs or chicken fingers special advertised at our table. Decided to order a couple of beers and watch the Marshall game. After we ordered, waitress returned later and said they no longer had the special and said we would need to order something else.
We were very polite and explained that if it wasn t available, it should not be on the tabletop. We asked for them to reconsider. The manager, without talking to us, removed the tabletop placard and declined to honor the deal.
Disheartening and disappointing response over such a small thing. Lose two good customers and receive a negative review over a couple of ribs and fingers. Sad.

The restaurant is real nice. Our server was attentive. Our food was hot and delicious.
I warmed up with the lobster soup, which was very hot, and very good. Little bits of lobster in every bite. But the burger was far less exciting. Just ordinary, not seasoned well, and the fries were hard and dry. May try resturant again, but being from Indiana here on business, I am sure I wont.

Lots of Marshall University sports memorabilia..huge fltscreen tv's to catch all the games. Reasonable prices w/ decent food. Young staff that is fast and precise.

The food is great but expensive unless you go on a good day. Monday is buy one get one burgers which is phenomenal deal so I recommend going then (starts at 4pm goes until close). On Tuesday they have buy one get one on pasta and pizza and on Sunday they have a variety of homestyle dishes to choose from only served on that day. Their chips and salsa is a great cheap appetizer and comes with 1 free refill they don't tell you about on the menu!

Not a bad place for drinks or meeting up with friends. Service was a little slow during our visit. Had the Ribeye steak, Rice and Asparagus.
Steak was over cooked ( asked for medium) was Well done. Not seasoned at all, need salt and pepper. I had to ask for steak sauce to help with flavor.
Rice was runny, and the asparagus were coated in cooking oil.
The Beer was a different story, Cold and very flavorful. The ambient during our visit was up beat.
Friendly staff ,reasonably prices . Drink the beer , stay from the ribeye steak.

Decent food, really neat decor and atmosphere but you really have to order the right things to get a great meal. Service is typically good and parking is a pain.
If you get a waitress by the name of Alyssa LEAVE! Horrible, forgot about our table multiple times, never brought out our appetizer, never asked for refills or checked on us, forgot to bring us our drinks we ordered, and never showed up to pick our checks up. Absolutely horrindous service by her, the food was lackluster as well but the other staff was friendly.
